| I don't really like commas in numbers on computers for some reason...I think "2,500" looks uglier than just "2500" I guess. Also, the comma is used as a decimal point in some languages, which could be confusing for some people. |

| I don't like the dentist's office at all. I don't like lying down, being forced to stare directly at a bright light (I have sensitive eyes), having a bunch of dental equipment and whatnot in my mouth, getting bad-tasting stuff on my teeth, and having to listen to the adult-contemporary music they play on the radio. And why do dentists always ask their patients questions WHILE they are working on their teeth? How am I supposed to talk with their hands and instruments probing my mouth? I regard dentists as a necessary evil. |

| Didn't you just post this at PureZC? (Not like there's anything wrong with posting the same thing at two completely different message boards...) I never cut class, because we can only have 10 absences a semester. 11th absence = failing grade. No ifs, ands, or buts, unless maybe you were in the hospital for two weeks or something like that. Not only that, but all absences MUST be excused by a parent. If they're not, each unexcused absence reduces your grade in that class by one partial grade (A to A-, A- to B+, B+ to B, etc.) |

| Well, I live in a small town with only one dentist...I won't be living here much longer though. I had to get a LOT of dental work done in 1996, when I had eight cavities. I haven't had any since. |

| Actually, at my school, being 10 minutes late counts as an absence. But classes are generally 55 minutes long. And yes, my school is extremely strict. The teachers yelled at us because some people liked to rip the "Dell" logo buttons off the front of the computers. They said that it ruined the network card. I mean, come on. How many computers have the network card right in front of the case where the logo is? I think they just made up a lame story for an excuse to yell at people. | But, English may not be everyone's native language, and a lot of people who were raised learning another language still think of numbers being in the formet of that language. There's also a problem with the date formats. Take the date 03-04-05. What date is that? It could be any one of the following: March 4, 2005 April 3, 2005 April 5, 2003 On this board, it's the first one. But at first glance, someone could think it was the second or third. Which is why board32 uses the format "Mar 4 2005" instead. It's totally unambiguous; there's nothing it could be other than March 4, 2005. (edited by Banedon on 05-13-05 10:20 AM) |

| I've had problems with the CD drive on my old 486 not ejecting... Personally, I don't understand why something physical like opening the CD tray needs to be a software thing that requires the system to be turned on. Why can't it be a mechanical operation, like ejecting a floppy? |
