I did format in June, when I switched OS'es from l00zd0ze to Linux.

This is getting rather ridiculous. If you change the staff, people complain. If you keep them the same, people complain. There's no pleasing everybody. |
Personally, I think we should have reconstructed the staff in mid-to-late 2003. As I recall, a lot of members were for a reconstruction, but it didn't happen. The current reconstruction, IMO, is definitely an improvement, because inactive members were given demotions, and the total number of admins was reduced. Staff members should be reasonably active on a message board. Activity in 2001 should not count for staff positioning in 2005. It isn't 2001 anymore. 2004 seemed to be a rough year for the romhacking community, both here and at TEK. It was a rough year in my life as well. Hopefully 2005 will be better, but who knows... Then again, this thread gave me a great deal of entertainment today. Inactive but lurking in the shadows, Banedon.

I just want to have fun posting at Acmlm's again, like I did in 2002 and 2003, but I blew it. The only way I can ever get respect at Acmlm's again is if I register a new account and take on a new identity, and all that respect would go out the window in an instant if anyone found out who I was.

My parents use Netscape...they used to use IE, until I told them that it was evil (which was fairly recently). Now, IE on their machine is all messed up, and the computer is infested with viruses... |

I used to be very offended by swear words, and was shocked that Acmlm's didn't censor tham and seemed to encourage their use. Now, I'm so used to seeing swear words that it doesn't bother me. |
Still, that would be a nice feature for people posting from school, work, library, etc.
