You are asking about the original level format from the unchanget rom or about the level format saved by LM? I know some bytes are the header, the world, level, and, object set number respectively, then the level data and then the enemy data, the bg data, and in levels saved by LM the custom palette. I don't know the exact order but FuSoYa knows for sure! |

I had the same problem with ORY'S WORLD bazed on DWORY. I had to save levels to files, then inport the level to an test level, and then to copy the maps from the test level to curent level using Copy BG Image from?... edit: It wood be grate to extract the bg maps from a Zsnes save state since the graphics and the palette can be extracted (edited by orynider on 10-04-04 06:42 AM) |

I asked here couze I have an similar problem: I edited the ow apearence and the layer 1 paths, but the game breakes the default paths. I have sended the hack to JackONeill since he wan to help but he doues not know as well wath is the problem | |||

I need a partner to help me making an OW for my hack, couze I sended my "OW" to 2 users and they coud not fix the problem ( I edited the ow apearence and the layer 1 paths, but the game breakes the default paths). Many times hapend that I had to use in an new level a custom BG from an existing level and a custom FG from another. Let's say the BG I'ts using palettes 1 and 5 and the FG 6 and 7 from the level palette. So, I'm stock editing manualy 4 palettes. So, what is the format of the TLP palette? can be splitted to 15 smalller patettes? If so, can somone make a program to import and export a single palette (and not the joined 15 palettes)? |

Atma X: Well, I have an custom build operating system on that computer (an very old computer) coze an normal os made by Microsoft dont't work to good. And I have an 16 bit Layer Driver for my video card with an palette filter to display 256 colors ... |

FuSoYa shood add suport for an mw state to be opened by LM as an rom with one level. This way it is easyer to extract the gfx, the map16 and the custom palette, since manualy can take some time! | |||

I have changed some rgb snes colors, so I can not use the all_stars palette, and on my system now I can only see 256 colors So, if no one help isn't far to release this levels! edit: Atma X: I have send you the complete test hack via email so you can fix the palette! From what I know blackhole89 is making "Solar Sondtrak" so you can edit the music in MarioWorld using the dw3 engine. Anyway I can make an document about how to edit the rom in an hex editor to customize what music from all_stars to use ... |
