I want to see:
A LADX overworld editor that has support for DX graphics(so I can acually finish a hack).

A TGL editor(which is supposed to be in the works by somebody).

Gameboy Advance editors, like for Metroid Zero Mission, the castlevania games, Dawn of Souls, ect.

People actually doing somthing with all the data that I post instead of ignoring it.

Oh, and an Oracle of Seasons/Ages editor. I didn't stay up countless nights cracking the evil compression for nothing.

There is also a FFV chest editor out there somewhere, but it might not be available yet.

I think I found a bug, well sort of. If you defeat all the enemies in an area that makes the spiny blocks disappear, and if you then either use the mouser suit or pick up an ice block, the blocks will re-solidify for as long as the sprite is on screen. This could be used to make a few cool puzzles.

Edit: In addition, I have also noticed that at rare times, while on a vine and am racconn luigi, I noticed that it could be possible to do what looks like a double jump. Now sure what triggers this, but if altered, you could have an ability that allows you to do a sort of metroid like wall jump.

Anywho, eneough with the suggestions. I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut.

You did? That's fucking awesome! Heh heh... 8 bit theatre rules.

Leno: CT hacking sounds like fun :x
How else do you plan to mutilate *mwahahaha* this game?

Sword-Chucks

Well what I plan is to make the game a tad different. I have ideas that may or may not work, like making all the forced enounter squares into real bosses, but I also plan to change the spells around. So far I plan to make the ultimate Time Mage spell Meteo, like in FFV. I just need more ideas for time related stuff. I also might need help locating the data that determines what mage can learn what level of spells. So far I am stumped.

The levels can't be compressed into 21 bytes. It is just not possible to store than amount of information that way. My guess is that it's just the level headers. Perhaps you need to check the beginning of the ROM for the actual data. I know that some games, level data is stored from the very first offset.

Good luck hacking the music for that game. I heard it's got the worst music format for a rom, ever.

I like the gravity boots idea a lot. It sort of reminds me of Blaster Master, where you can move on the walls and celings, except here you don't have the option to stop unless you are charged.

Would the boots for just the speed booster, or for any time? Perhaps there could be special circumstances where you just can't walk, like snow or somthing.

I'd be willing to send it along to anyone who is serious about editing lolo. It is very easy to use, and it does an excellent job recompressing the levels. Sivak used it to create his lolo hack.

What ever you do though. Do not even attempt to use HALed! It is a horrible editor that will currupt your rom.

You mean VILE? How many lolo editors are there anyway?

I like to release level hacks of games that nobody's ever hacked before. I try to avoid overhacked games but instead concentrate on games not hacked, and find data for them.

I got to be honest, I love those screenshots.

I know it's not exactly what you were thinking, but perhaps instead of waiting for one gigantic release during the summer, release what you have as a beta so that people can comment on it. What you have so far looks awesome, and I would think some feedback might be a good incentive to finish it.

Whatver you do, I can't wait. We need more quality Zelda 3 hacks that are finished, but also fun to play.

Well, you have to understand that the writers don't live in rom hacking central like we do. To them, the mere thought of graphic hacking NES games is like awe and wonder. If they got a peak at how DahrkDaiz has utterly molested SMB3, well I think DD would be getting more attention that he actually wants.

Sometimes it's a good thing that we don't get all the attention. Too much attention isn't good, especially in the outside world.

One suggestion I can think of that would alter the maps, but not greatly, would be to make all the pipes stand out from the mountains a bit. You don't have to change their locations, but just cut into the mountain a bit to make it look better done.
