You can't call it "SMW ASM". ASM hacking (which I'd rather call programming because it is.) is just plain SNES ASM, which is used for every snes game. The snes use 65186 (tell me if that number is wrong ) ASM.

I have started to play around with overworld editor, cause I find it boring to use Nintendo's old overworld. But I do have a problem (and yes I have been searching in the help file for it and I have read the whole section about overworld editing) and it is the events. I can't figure how those is made, like the bridge that pops up when you vanilla fortess (etc...). So do anyone have any info or help for me?

Sorry for asking newbie questions.

I have been working a bit on my overworld. But I got a problem with Yoshi's house.
I have changed yoshi's house's level slot from 104 to 107 and I have switched all the info
about what level yoshii's house is (etc...). But now I can't side exit in the level, and I do have the side exit in yoshi's house level. So I am kinda blank on what to do now.

PS: Here is the picture of the overworld (still need some fixing)

Like I already pointed out, I already have the "side exit" sprite in the level. But it don't work as a side exit (eg: I can't exit to the sides )

It is only one screen. It really confuse me what the heck is wrong with this level. I copied most of the stuff from the original Yoshi's house. I hope atma can find anything I can't.

Aha, thanks.
I will wait for it, I will need to import the level I did today.
What was the bug? Just fucked up rom?
Edit: Just got your email. The one with chucks and super shell koopas is not even supposed to be in the hack. Weird. That level is a old level in another rom I have.
The other one is the right one.

Well, I can make it back to 104 too. but then I lose the placement of my levels.

Edit: thanks for the help, Atma. I think I maybe should use a new rom and delete the old rom.

Hi, I am back.

I do have a few problems tho, so on with the questions.

1. I am trying to use some of the ExGFX from the ExGFX work shop thread. But when I try insert them like it is listed on the top of the thread, the graphics look messy.

2. How do I insert a pallet like those there is include with the sets in the ExGFX Work shop thread? I tried playing around with it, but I could figure it out.

3. How do I edit the normal graphics. I tried edit it with the 8x8 tile editor and do like the small tutorial in the help file. But It don't simply work.

I basicly wanna do a hack with handmade graphics like Juggling Joker's.

Yes, I know it. I am a bit stupid to those things. :/
