trees are good. Im pretty good at fitting in areas into surrounding locations. Alot of what makes up areas of my hack has come from old versions of it. Somehow i made them fit. Also this area hasnt currently got any other around it so i could fit in yours and work from there. Whose the lucky team mate youve chosen then. Ah too late for me. Im off to bed. Stupid having to sleep. |

Even though its impossible to alter everything without using a hex editor its possible to alter things beyond recognition. I know why youve only done 3% monologue Euclid...its because theres a crazy shit amount of it. Plus as ive done before you can completely screw up a story if you make a character say too much too early. You need to show more screenshots Euclid. WHat ive seen so far looks excellent. My own website was really less to do with releasing Zelda stuff (which is what the forums are for) but more of just a testing ground for my html, CSS and flash skills. You should try it. You pick up loads if you focus a web on something that your in the process of working on. |

As of right now i dont really need anybody to beta test. And I plan to let both Solid-tbone and Dark_X have a test when the time comes. But ill definately keep you in mind for a third tester.posted by the workhorse that is OmegaRemoving one of the areas you start in is actually a good thing. Due to the constraints of not being able to enlarge the rom Im only working on a light world map which frees up loads of space and also plenty of sprites. |

Ok ive only really browsed through this but im already greatly impressed. best demo to date..Damn you for beating mine Euclid. I love what youve done with the area that used to be lost woods and the overworld map! youve actually changed it. Kudos. DAAAAAMN you Euclid! Ok perhaps over dramatic but still. Im impressed. Up till now youve been relatively quiet so you sorta surprised me. |

your impressive list of testing the scripted sequences is a great help to hacking zelda. Glad you posted it at the HM FAQ thread. I already knew about sahasrala being relocated. Shouldve asked. Not that it takes long to shift his location.

ok this is a great thing Euclid as ive no doubt sad multiple times. However Im not allowing myself to play it fully or any further due to how complete it already seems to be. Knowing that the finished hack is only a few months (i hope) away ill prefer to play it entirely than only half of it.

Theres also that face editing function that is for Goldeneye. It allows you to place your own face on guards in the best fps ever. Not sure if it works with the ROM but it works with the official cart and action replay. |

The reason the chest changes is because the hammer is a big chest item. If you place it in a little chest it will not show a small chest when opened but the big one. I once caused a similar effect it was just the other way round. A small chest item in a big chest caused the chest to turn intoa little one. Very strange effect. Not 100% sure if thats the reason for it but i believe it is. Its a logical conclusion. |

I recon you should keep the base of the trees the way they are. One of the reasons i love your graphics for the overworld is that its updated but still has references to the original rom. Im not really a fan of complete overhauls. In the end its up to you SePH im sure your overworld will rule no matter what. (edited by NEONswift on 06-01-05 01:14 AM) |

Wow all the old stuff. Walk down memory lane for a lot of people especially those who are wicked with HM nowadays. For the tree grass sections couldnt you use something like SNESpal to search through the pallettes. Lengthy i know but its got to be in there somewhere. |

If you were to release it as is this would still be a mammoth of a hack. Don't feel rushed take things slow and get it done when you get it done. No point feeling pushed to release anything like a demo. always gets in the way. I think the steps are fine if you want to leave them the way they currently are but i can also see what people are getting at. The "man-made" look of them makes them stand out more. Maybe a simple brightning up of the black lines would make them fade into the background more. Still cannot see the difference between the original and your mockup though. PS. Downloaded the guide to HM. Definately a brilliant piece of work. Been a while since i looked at it last. Shitloads of information to look through. (edited by NEONswift on 06-02-05 04:27 PM) |

I agree with you there. I used to have one massive excel file of data and maps stored for when i needed to reference something. Lost that when my hard drive went down last year. Not a problem though with the guide. If / When i get back into hacking itll be handy. |
