Usually a reinstall is the cleanest way to get rid after getting a trojan horse
Other than that, remove it and update your antivirus at least once a day. Old virus definitions later than two or three days won't help you.
I'm running the only one good free virus scanner AntiVir and although it tends rarely to report a virus where is no one, it does not report anything from here; if a registered virus got found here, the AVGuard would have denied access for me (as long the virus is not a new one or simply not in the current VDF file)

FF6 > all
The SNES US cartridge rocks, my cart is broken (I got it imported in 1996), although there are emulators and the ROM, it's not the same playing it on a console and a PC
The Playstation version of FF6 sucks at all, at least in the PAL version the black bars a the top and bottom of the screen shrink the viewabvle area to an ugly transition, the loading times for the game is crappy and annoying; and the bonus material like a small monster gallery and a little more is actually nothing
I don't understand how 24 MBit of data cannot be loaded into the PS memory together ... since the original game has that size, 24 Megabit = 3 Megabyte; on a CD which can hold up to about 780 megs of data

After I bought FF6 for PSX, it shortly vanished in the cupboard after I beat the Whelk in the beginning .... while I still used to enjoy FF6 US when it still worked ^^

World 6 and 7 definitively. The levels just were great; featured tons of new ideas.
Just thinking of the movement pipes, autoscrolling underwater levels, a very cool castle #1 (it is empty and has no single enemy except BoomBoom; the entrance to his room is well hidden too ), my favourite level 7-5 from world 7 also is there:
That long row of munchers make me use a shitload of lives when I entered that level the first time ...
Today it's just a piece of cake

A SM hack might be nice indeed ...
It will just get incredibly hard to make it that good and logical putting the items into the right places; requiring the right item on location x to get to are y or item z
But any other good hack also needs time; so go for it; probably SMILE! will improve more and more and will make hacking SM much more convenient in future

When I tried your software, Jesper, it says, the library WOOTEST32.DLL is missing
Well, as for my own ideas, I'd like to work again on a hack, but I lose motivation pretty fast when the ExGFX are messed up (despite the fact the corresponding level pallette from the game ripped from got imported correctly) or I have problems to get specific background working

Heh, this is actually the first time, that the neat Firefox extension
View This Page in IE comes in handy, since Firefox has a problem decoding "hidden" MIME-types, like in those renamed image-to-txt files

As for the page, your bandwith got used up ... put it rather on Lycos, since it allows remote linking and features unlimited bandwith; or you will encounter messages like

The face is far too big, compared to the rest of the body, for a the first attempt the hands are okay as well as the chain and the belt. Since I cannot draw at all, I cannot rate that image
You should try to improve the proportions; the left eye is positioned too high, the face does not look that good at all.

Another way might be to dispatch a copy of each sent PM to a local storage area (another partition on the server etc.), thus removing the privacy issue. Dunno know how much space this would take up with, let's say one million PMs later
On the other hand public private messages can be read anyway by administrators ... and for proving actions like mass-links with advertisement and other mad stuff okay

Yeah, especially the monster design is really great; just for those who didn't play FF 3 US yet:

The game should be a must-have ... if you ever can get to a FF3 US cart. it's worth spending the money. It was not cheap for me when I still was in school (had to save a lot of money, since it was a new game and even had to be imported here; plus a fitting NTSC to PAL adaptor ), but the game pays it back for sure

Like the most people, it was Super Mario Brothers 1 too, since it was included in the NES package fitting with two controllers.
I needed two months to finish that game, losing tons of lives, have running the sweat down when I finished levels 5-4, 6-4, 7-4 and 8-4 finally ... but even if I got rewarded with a short looping track, a pixelized princess and some lines of text ... it was really worth playing it

Posted on 04-08-04 01:19 AM, in How do you pronounce Mozilla? Link
Since I don't know how to post phonetic translation:
"M" like in any word starting with it: Mountain, mad etc.
"o" with a short stress, like in "dock"
"z" - hard pronounciation like in "once"
"i" - like in "if"
"ll" - usually double consonants are spoken longer, like in "mill"
"a" - British English (!) pronounciation of "dance"
So, pretty much as written I'm stressing it

Posted on 04-08-04 01:25 AM, in Can't edit extracted graphics Link
If you extracted all the GFX in many chunks (if the setting in "Options" -> "Use Joined GFX" is UNchecked), you will get many smaller files. To fix the "Scollbar out of property" error, you need to resize the window:
Open a .bin file, resize it vertically as small as possible, THEN switch format.
Alternatively you simply could check the "Use Joined GFX" option to get all normal GFX dumped in one big file AllGFX bin, so you won't need to search all small files for a specific tile
Edit: Fixed two nasty mistakes.

Currently on my to-do list:
- Vagrant Story (PSX); sometimes hard, since I have to push the weapon attributes, because very often it simply deals 0 dmg when encountering regular enemies and bosses ... and chains push the risk meter far too high -> hit rate decreases way too much
- Tactics Ogre (SNES, JP); yes, I'm playing the Japanese version, but pretty cool game; the OST even tops the PSX one
- Suikoden II. Despite its average GFX the intro is the best I've ever seen on PS1, I also like the music. I can watch that damn intro thingy over and over; actually need to finish the game too
- SaGa Frontier 2; recently lost motivation, but today I finished a quest from Will

Marle from Chrono Trigger is uber-cute
I'd go with Terra - don'T ask me, I like the role she performed as well as her appearance. I'm not really fond of any later girl in 3D, maybe the princess from FF IX a little, but no one else

I'm using Thunderbird too. An email containing keywords like sex, penis and, other and such immediately get moved into the junk folder; But now the spammers even know that, so people send German mails with a header like
"Kostenlose S'EX-Galerien !"; hoping the spam filter won't mark them as spam
On the other hand, if only one of 10.000 people who got a spam mail, click on the link inside the mail and go to the page, it was worth to dispatch all other mails for the sender. You can send dozens of mails almost for nearly nothing; they have very little costs usually.

Well, if you requested an email of a company for example, be sure to check the spam folder too. It already happened twic that regular emails, after I ordered something from the net, got moved into the spam folder on gmx.de; probably the filter recognized a word on the blacklist and treated is as spam
Fortunately, the email probider now automatically dispatches an info mail for all spam mail entries you got per day, if you use an external email application, such as Pegasus Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird etc
