Judging level design from these screenshots only is hard. On the other hand some things just are very nice to watch, like the save room which combined tiles both from Brinstar I - the greenish tilesets - and Brinstar II - the orange/brown colours later.

I think most of us truly waited for a full Super Metroid hack, so I hope you will get that hack done

By the way, could it be that the game is incredibly easy on an emulator ?
I downloaded the ROM and finished all 12 worlds and lost only one life (and I'm no expert who might have managed it without losing one); but thinking on a SNES with the gun it is harder than using a mouse which can trail all targets on the screen by holding the fire button and moving it ?

It seems, like the first bombing didn't fulfill the goal of the terrorists/was not terrible enough
I hoped the motherf... people commiting that crime will be arrested for life, and coming into the worst prison ever.

But then there's democracy (monarchy, okay) and laws ...

Hmmm, I can hold down the left mouse button to make the hair cross shooting in rapid fire mode like a machine gun

And health isn't infinite, I need to grab these extras to extend the power bar, there is damage taken when an enemy hits me and so on. As said, I only lost one life - and that was the last bowser because I didn't was prepared when he opened his "stomach cannon" and I simply only had to focus on it to make it close before it could shoot.

The ROM's name is Yoshi's Safari (U) which even doesn't seem to match with the GoodSNES list:

Yoshi's Safari
Yoshi no Road Hunting (J)
Yoshi's Safari (E)
Yoshi's Safari (U) [!]
Yoshi's Safari (U) [h1] (Joystick)

Oh well, and the ending was incredibly boring

The URL you requested is missing or unavailable at the moment. If you feel you've reached this page in error, please check the URL you typed in. If it's correct, feel free to email us and describe what happened.

Since the browser automatically inserts the proper %20 for each space, I don't think that space in the URL is the problem.

First of all, thanks, Karadur.

Second, until now the hack might have some weird layout (straight walls), but on the other hand it is pretty nice - until now.
I just cannot advance forward. Crocomire blocks the path and I have only 20 missilies.
Is this for experts only or did I miss something important in order to fight him ?

That also is fun, hence the world's title:

I downloaded editors few days ago and today the trial of Hex Workshop.
But I cannot believe that page could go down unnoticed - they surely need a lot of bandwith (I got a lot of PSFs from that page ), though they won't host too huge files, but going unnoticed down ... this is always the main address when it comes to emulation utilities and other stuff.

About the page design. Really nothing special like ever, but I liked that plain look. It might have given Zophar's a light underground touch (the page itself is fully legal, of course, no commercial ROMs - since ever I think), but if that page would have gone down ... d'oh.

If might be better to reorganize the staff, if they realized what is happening - if that page goes down, this is very bad for the emulation scene. Apart from the files also many docs and other things are on the server - and though there are also very skilled ROM hackers in here, nobody might find them - like FuSoYa's Lunar Magic, Lunar Address and others - not everyone knows his page is hosted on panicus since a longer time ...

In Acmlm's I think I am:

- Although still not even close to be "good", I improved my English grammar a lot by posting here ... especially when I was much more active (concerning the old board)
- Formerly unknown due to own activity and no participation in Craziness Domain and other forums, but a handful of people I think even remember me - when I still had my old user name Gandalf The Grey and my classic "mad" avatar (it will come back anyway)
- Maybe too serious, don't know really about that one

My response to this board:

- It lost a lot of its magic I think. Although nearly every oldbie registered and nice new members came, sometimes I feel like it is like a site - missing that familiar feeling like before. Basically it is not bad in any way, like having reading very interesting threads in the ROM hacking section, somehow ... a certain forgotten part simply is missing.
- I got contact to a very nice member; we are talking every day in AIM, and that's a fact I thank that board - or it might not have happened.

My goals on Acmlm's
- Uh, no one really. I have mentioned the argument but on the other hand I just cannot leave that board, after FPI Productions (he'S also nice but not that contact mentioned above - I know FPI from somewhere else) gave me the URL to the (old) Acmlm's Board ...

I only know this about torrents, since they consist of the same basic core.
A download began with Shareaza can be continued with Azrues, BitTornado or any of the other clients which support the BitTorrent protocol.

As for other ones - it depends how the application stores them - temporary files might not be able to recognized by another application. You could try it:
Copy the unfinished (meta) data into the other appllcation's "incomplete" (or other) folder and try to start it.

Edit: You mean getting a file faster using two programs
Impossible, you can't get higher rates than your maximum download rate.

I had that some weeks ago. It was a torrent file, Fifteen seeds, in the beginning three, then two and finally only one seeder was sharing the torrent. Nearly everyone was stuck at 99,5 %, and obiviously - since it was a RAR archive, the contents inside were are corrupt because it was unfinished, 1.2 MB were missing

About three days I was online, tried it with BitTornado and Shareaza - hell, even downloaded the same thing with Shareaza again because I saw more sources - but it stopped at 99,5 % again; no seed.

Another day later the seed went on
I wanted to seed the file as long as possible and did it longer, but there were only other ... seeds - we got all done and no peer remained

I tried it again - no peer found who needs to have it seeded, also the torrent is abandoned now
Since it is about P2P, I have a question about download rates and the number of seeds.
I'm currently downloading something bigger (I don't know if that anime is licensed in the US or not - so greyed out to avoid anything) - they are currently nine peers, and I already had more than 70-80 KB/s sometimes.

But these rates suck. Ports are open in the firewall, the number of connections is set properly and I have nothing additional running.
So, are the download rates independent from the number of seeds usually ?

Heck, that sucks and giving too low bandwidth destroys the system of P2P if the user is not in an emergency or something else. My computer is not running 24/7, especially because it's a cheaper one (for me it was not cheap if you don't have sufficient money after everything important is paid ) amd I never would run a computer longer than 1-2 hours alone. Although never happened something, I just don't do that.

But when I'm done and when the box is running, I'll seed as long as possible. When I'm playing something and don't need the internet, I free up to 13/14 KB from my upload, when I'm running Firefox at the same time (just like now), I'll give 10 KB/s, but only contribute that to one or two people. When I'm finished, usually I click on "SUPER SEED" ...
I think it brings more to give one user more upload so he's faster finished and also will be a seeder soon

But on the other hand I know, 6 gigs take a lot of time; but since I usually never download anything not even far as huge like that (biggest file so far - about 400 MB), this is the only exception

Edit: Episode 1 is done, yay

Ziff, if that nickname was meant to be German, it must be "alte Hexe" (but I dunno know if it is meant that way )

Once I was very close - I was smaller and stood really close to a broad street. Suddenly a huge truck just missed me maybe twenty centimetres.
Other than that, two people almost died in the hospital last year - they fortunately got back somehow healthy, but this sucks and goes on the own nerves, especially when they are people you are very close to them.

Seven or eight years ago I had serious problems with acne, but then there was no Accutane there. Hearing this news sucks, since that treatment is just meant to help - like most of them too - and since people tend to judge people from outer appearance often, this is even worse.
On the other hand - does it inflict these thoughts anyway or "only" if someone experienced a bad childhood, lacking self-confidence (*cough*) ?

Sources on Google also tell something about Accutane's side effects - revealed quite some stuff about that, like this one:

Backup your bookmarks.html from your Firefox Profile Folder, uninstall Firefox, delete that profile folder afterhand - and do a reinstall of Firefox.

Then simply copy you old bookmarks.html back into the profile folder to replace the default one.

What model is your CD writer ?
How old is that burner ?
Did you try another brands of CDs to burn already ?
Do you use (whyever, it is not recommended at all) CDs where you put on your own label to burn ?
Does the writer run properlay in UDMA mode and not in the slow an very unreliable PIO mode ?

Well, you didn't provide any info about your model

BTW, I dont know what UDMA or PIO mode is.

If you are using Windows XP, go into your Control Panel, click on "System" -> Hardware -> press the button "Hardware Manager".

Then look your your IDE/(S)ATA Controller entry, expand the tree and get the proper channel your writer is plugged into (usually there is Primary Master, Primary Slave and Secondary Master, Secondary Slave) - check the advanced settings there, there you see is something is using (U)DMA or PIO.

PIO ist just damn slow and only enables to set the transfer rates by Windows; if you burn CDs using PIO mode, you mostly will get long burning times and very often write errors.

In Windows 9x and ME the Hardware Manager is located in the top tab when you click on "System" in your Control Panel already.

I misjudged the thread title, I thought your hotkeys went mad
But a very useful extension for that is KeyConfig:

http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=254

I had to save the .xpi do disk (Firefox 1.0.4 didn't let me download and install it by left-clicking, though I allowed the page to install software) and to drag it manually into the open "Extensions" window, but despite its age it works well with my Firefox 1.0.4 version.

The extension can be reached by using the "Extras" or "Tools" in Firefox' main menu; it is located below the "DOM Inspector" entry - and cannot be reached using the extensions windows.
I disabled the Full Screen mode in it, restarted Firefox - and I couldn't reach it anymore - and it could be reverted, of course.
So simply install that extension (which also allows you to remap them to your custom keys) and disable the hotkeys which cause trouble to you - or remap them.
