Nice image, it doesn't seem have wrong colours, that's nerving if you want to resize a larger image into 11 x 11 or to edit it in that size.

I also had major problems with my minipic, the staff from Tactics Ogre. The result hardly is close to the original , but I'm using it anyway since a longer time. And it fits to the avatar and user name, since it's a mage

We always had a real one - and we won't even think to get an artificial one. that amount of work to carry it to home, putting it into and watering the rack, is once a year and a couple of minutes only. And if you know the right place, you won't pay too much for a good tree

Flare Mario
Icon: a row of sticks with a small "3" embedded in the right edge.
Effect: This allows Mario to cast a huge fire wave, coming up from below, three times. This eats up anything living within the range of one screen wide in a height of 10 rows and slowly decreases when sinking. Enemies immune to fire or using that element are not affected.
Mario instantly dies too, if he's in the attack range while cast.

Clone Mario
Icon: "x2"
Effect: Allows him to use a dark clone which works for him. It is only half as strong as normal Mario, but invincible unlike Mario hinself. One shot only and rests about 100 timer seconds.

GP Toss Mario
Icon: Gold coin
Effect: Allows Mario to bribe enemies. He can give coins to them, while they take them and run away. The harder the enemy, the higher the cost. A boss cannot be bribed, obviously, since he/she already has more than that.

Leviathan Mario
Icon: Water Goddes Statuette
Effect: Simple as that; summons Leviathan which calls for water what fills any level with water. Exceptions are levels with lava on the bottom. That stays for the rest of the level until Mario dies or finishes it.

Block Wizard Mario
Icon: pointing towards a brown used block.
Effect: Like Solomon, this allows Mario to create blocks within air. The block is a brown used one, so it is pretty useless if the power of a P-switch is activated. Two buttons are used for creation and disapperance of blocks, which can be up to five blocks at a time.

Magnet Mario
Icon: A red magnet pointing to a iron block.
Effect: This allows Mario to use magnetism to pull to any obstacle made of metal. The range is 20 blocks from all sides. While holding the button, he remains stuck until he releases it. Can also draw coins and p-switches to Mario himself like the lightning extra in Sonic 3 or Sonic & Knuckles.

Drain Mario
Icon: Plunger.
Small water basins, if not larger than 50 x 20 blocks, can be drained from water fully, making Fish and other water enemies powerless. The downside is the waiting time. After Mario used that, he needs 50 timer seconds to be able to drain another basin in the same level.

Mindcontrol Mario
Icon: Two parantheses capturing two evil eyes.
Effect: Allows Mario to convince an enemy to work for him until the target dies or Mario finishes the level. Since most of his enemies are pretty weak, he can summon as many new helpers as possible, but only one at a time.

Spider Mario
Icon: Spider's web
Effect: Put nets hanging from blocks or on the floor. Enemies caught will need a while to rescure themselves, thus losing their defence power. So stomping on spiked enemies will be no major problem in that state.

Aura Mario
Icon: Mario's outline plus a gradient "shield" circle around him
Effect: Mario gains bonuses of speed + 50 %, jump + 20 % and grip on ice. Also, he will be able to see hidden POW coins and doors within a range of +3 blocks around him (hence the Lense of Truth from Zelda OoT). The only thing are undead enemies. Stomping on them will make Mario die, since the aura is something like "holy" elemental and he rather has to attack them with shells and such.

Wall Mario
Icon: Two thick sticks
Effect: Allows Mario to lock up enemies in a screen by creating large wooden block walls at three sides at the screen; if the bottom has a hole it will not be covered. Some enemies trying to escape will sometimes sacrifice theirselves by jumping in, since there is no escape.
Only works if Mario is standing still and standing on solid ground. Duration is 30 sec fixede. So it might be good not to activate that if the goal is not within the screen and you have less than 31 seconds left.

Vampire Mario
Icon: Teeth
Effect: Allows Mario to suck up enemy's blood. This does not kill them, but makes them slower. Each eemy fills up a magic meter, if it is full (needs 20 Goomba's blood or some bigger enemies), he will go berserk if button pressed and automatically run straight into the direction he faces, while invincible for 20 seconds.
A side effect is, that for each quarter he fills up his meter, he gains bonuses in attack + 10 %; thus added up to 40 % stronger attack when the meter is full.

I did that while I was playing Super Mario Bros.
It was my first game ever while 9 years old and I thought I could make Mario jump wider near that nasty big gap in 8-1, if I tilt the controller slowly aside

The thing is, that my head is full of ideas and often I to tend to elaborate much farther than usually possible

In my universe, I had given most enemies something like moret HPs/a life bar (basically they have hitpoints, a Goomba has one, a koopa 2, Mario has 2 when big, loses one when small etc.), so these percentage values would make perfect sense then. I'd like to see a Mario jump and run with some RPG elements - the opposite already was done with Mario RPG and Paper Mario

Post your own opinion freely, but don't call someone idiot just because you don't like him/her or groups. Nobody will kill you if you say your opinion as long you don't insult someone. This results in losing respect.

Nice, I like these colored numbers, they are just much more fine than plain text numerals and also add some nice flair with that videogameish character

I downloaded the dump Zombies_Ate_My_Neighbors_(U), renamed the ROM to zamn.smc as stated and everything went fine.

While saving, it also didn't crash on my Windows XP Home with SP2. This is (very quick) proof where I just replaced one BBQ victim by another teacher sprite; the other victims are locked up ande moved the ? outside the hidden place in level 1 :

Posted on 12-18-04 12:43 PM, in *Sigh* another problem(CD burner related) Link
DMA is on, ASPI is correctly installed. That's weird, though, since it's a new burner and (hopefully) it got installed properly.

First I'd recommend to try another burning software. My DVD writer (unlike CDs) doesn't write DVDs properly if I'm NOT using Nero 6, but in your case you just might try that with DeepBurner or burnatonce.

Be sure to uninstall all other burning software beforehand. If it fails, you can switch back to Nero 6 anyway. If that still doesn't work, check the firmware version. Some discs might not be recognized iff a very old version of firmware came preinstalled with the burner.

Note, that this contains risks (like if power falls of during the firmware flashing process -> drive gets damaged irreparably; so if you don't want to mess with that, don't do it or ask your local dealer you got the computer from (if it was a ready 'complete' PC)

By default, Windows always creates a folder named WINDOWS, all in caps when you install that; at least I noticed that in Win 98/SE, ME and also my XP installations.

I only can think about two reasons why two Windows entries appear in your Explorer:

1.) Somehow you got installed Windows twice. Since WINDOWS in C:\ already existed, the operating system chose to create another folder with one capital and then small letters.
Anyway ... Windows usually ignores the upper- and lowercase of letters in similar file names; so XP won't let me create a AAA.txt and Aaa.txt on the Desktop both, since it says another file has the same name.

2.) A virus, mad ActiveX, Java or whatever object altered your Windows. Be sure to run your virus scanner with the most recent virus definitions, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.
After you are done, get HiJack This! (new version since three days), don't fix anything yet (altough you seem advanced enough how to use/interpret that tool from your posts), run "Scan" and "Save log", inserting the full contents from the .txt in here. ;aybe it could help, if the problem is malware-related.

Yeah ... and also most banned people usually also have very low ratings; although it is pretty useless to rate these, especially when they're permabanned. Hence a rating if an account name "Ninja AE" might return
Also too serious people tend to get lower ratings than another ones. But as said, basically a neat idea, but taking that too seriously sucks.

I had too smile slightly due to the descritpions (yes, I didn't know that ASCII game until now ), With WTFbombs, OMGmissiles and stuff that basically is nice.
But I tried it only once, survived for maybe 130 seconds and got bored - especially since that crappy music didn't stop, although I disabled it restarted again and again. I dunno know if that music-disabling-thing only works in IE properly (too lazy to start up IE)

Maybe the people expected a haxx0r ass-kicking GUI like in Lunar Magic, thus being too "spoiled" about the user interface like LM
