Very nice levels, the design itself is really good; challenging but never unfairr. Especially the first castle has something; like in other levels, you are not only limited to walk from the left to the right, but also can go left after using a certain pipe.

I was really surprised of level Przelius Plateau 3 - good usage of one of the predefined scrolling commands; as well the layout themselves.
The GFX are nice, but sometimes the colors don't match; so using a pink background tile as grass, but a greenn ledge and a blue sky sometimes looks a little out of order; other like that - keep up the good work.
I didn't have all the levels passed yet in the demo, but until now it looks very promising

Heh, so if I ever will attempt to continue on my Rudra rank sets, I'll have to leave out the majority of all bosses; damn; already the first true boss (the "Giant" doesn't count since the battle runs automatically) is more than 100 px in height

But something like that,

should be okay, or not ?

So I'd need either to resize the image (what destroys the animations ) or leave out the bosses; there are already a mass of sprites; regular enemies

Is there any file size in limit ?

In Rudra no Hihou it's similar with the enemies; sure the enemies get more and more HP, but there's major difference from world map and dungeon's enemies. Some have more HP and are larger, and some are less big and are stronger

I think you should easily name the files using the original enemy names;
On my list, I have something like that and write down the rank order of enemies I encounter and ripped, an example:

"Sion's quest:

Axis.gif
Fighter.gif (boss #1)
Larf.gif
Arachne.gif
Abilijer.gif (boss #2)
AxisKnight.gif
Lamias.gif
[...]"

The information in parantheses as they're bosses are not important for the rank set; but for you it might be good; maybe you wanna reserve all the bosses after you got the last regular strongest enemy; thus keeping the bosses for the higher ranks

And the text file should contain the post order, like

0: Hornet
1: Axis
10: Larf
[...]

Since the numbers can be tweaked in PMA, you don't need the exact same number of enemies like the other sets; just compare the GunBound ranks with the Mario ones for example.

Seen it, really nice; I never liked the "Bullyparade" (comedy show since a couple of years with him, "Bully" Herbig), but these short space-ship adventures always were very neat

The movie features a kind of "story" unlike the short episodes in the comedy show, you can discuss if that movie is better or worse than Herbig's first movie "Der Schuh des Manitu", but if you know some German, go in. You won't be disappointed

Not at all. The same goes with me; on that RPG Maker board, I'm there since Oct, '01; and not only the moderator's position 'binds' me, but the people themselves - gotta see them IRL that week personally in a small group the first time; that's superior to any chat, and at least for these four days, it'll be probably some of the nicest days that years for me

I was never banned on any board; would be kinda weird if that had ever happened
Instead, I got promoted on another board since a longer time ^__^

A Tactics Ogre rankset also might be okay; despite the isometric view it would great; first ascending the male and female classes, all the other races and then the enemies - or vice versa
At least there is no trouble dealing with 30 or more frames for a single enemy like I encounter sometimes. It is easy, but after you have x windows open (PSP 7) and always use the same keyboard shortcut for "reduce color depth" -> "set up transparency" -> select the background -> "save file as" - it is truly time consuming

Posted on 07-27-04 06:54 PM, in Favorite Game Music? Link
Well, these are the most important I just can remember:

- Final Fantasy IIIj, the battle theme is quite addictive, as well as the boss battle music; the (first) world map theme fits nice and one or two dungeon tracks are not bad
- Mega Man III - I love that game; I can hear the Hard Man Stage NSF again and again and again; as well as the second Wily Stage music theme
- Mega Man II - also nice, Quick Man's stage music is here my favourite track.
- Kirby's Adventure - Nearly every track is burning itself inside the brain, so you will remember that for eternity; Also it features one of the best boss battle BGMs in an NES game ever
- Zelda I - Once you heared the main theme, you'll never forget it
- SMB 3 - Level 1-1 and 1-2 tracks, doomship, worldmaps 1, 3, 5 (below sky), 6, 7 and 8 rock
- Metroid - Yes, Brinstar's music is good, but the really best tracks are the two when you need to escape withhin the time limit (it made me taking the way up to the last lift a little slower than usual; to enjoy the music when I played that game every time ) and the end sequence theme
- 1942 - Woot, the level 2 stage music is certainly very distracting, it is kinda sucking up the brain to bury itself somewhere ; I got the game, and then I hardly could think forgetting that music quite a while

Until now I kept it (not too) short, except slighty longer in the back.
Long hair for everyone - male and female people
Currently it's growing and growing - I wanna make a pony tail some day; currently the back hair covers my neck. I'll need at least 3 or 4 months until I can think about binding it together

Hehe, just put the character encoding to Japanese in Firefox, the symbol for takara seems slightly familiar with the figure on the sail, yes (despite I think on NES the "word" had less lines)
About that trick with that 1UP, I got this sometimes but never could figure out when to get it; I only thought, I needed two requirements:
1.) The second and third digit of time left need to match and
2.) the second one I didn't figure out

At least we know how to get that hidden 1UP now

Looks really very nice, I like the new/shaded doors; also the tileset used for Brinstar; despite the new color pallette (Brinstar was kinda very 'blue' though and even in Super Metroid that was reused ), I like it; interesting layout and new GFX, like the more fitting energy units which can be picked up

Sounds neat, but LM also doesn't have these and still is great. Okay, there are screen exits and boundaries which can be displayed and it is not possible to compare both editors, but as for the basic idea, it is a good one
This prevents the usage of the two common editors and maybe also the chance to corrupt a ROM accidently when saving something or in one phase when switching from MI to SMB Discombobulator and vice cersa

Some tutorials also can be used from RPG Maker 2000(RM2k), since both editors use the same engine and only have slight differences - different default battle system, some new Event commands, changed values for some existing commands (such as the higher max amount of pictures which can be displayed at the same time in RM2k3).

I recommend the English RM2k(3) page http:///www.rpg2knet.com, which also has a good collection of useful resources.

In a German forum I know many people from both genders like to wear their hair long; for me, long hair somehows means freedom, not to swim on the 'fashion wave' or to be put in roles like other people do; but this maybe is different between countries
And it seems to suck really to get told how you have to wear your hair - like Subliminal said.

End of the year I should take a photo from my head; maybe there _will_ be something
Despite the fact long hair doesn't fit everyone, I want to have them. People are saying, it might fit me (I'm also 'wearing' a beard)

The site can be reached by going into Ringodoggie' profile - better said, homepage entry there
A board alone doesn't guarantee anything.

I'm registered on Dragon Eyes Studios, the board itself is nice, but only the pure 'core' of ROM hackers post there; so usually it is more important to develop a good site than simply setting up an AcmlmBoard, a board without a site is useless ... imho.

ROM-hacking is very nice, but it is extremely time consuming; so if you doesn't know how to ROM-hack properly (as for me, I doesn't; using an editor like LM is mostly easy; except the knowledge with hex editors I don't know anything, neither pointers, ASM or how to alter SNES RAM addresses), you won't be able to drag people to your page. That simply requires more time. Unless you don't have at least a smaller project, like a translation of an unknown RPG (must no be a famous one in another language, but "unique") or some minor projects, this is also no good advertisement for your ROM hacking group.
And as for the plain board, try to replace the board banner, it doesn't fit at all and it is simply ugly in its design an the choice of colours; I'm just honest

Reminds me of my old stickied Lunar Magic Beginners' FAQ, which was lost due to the fact I didn't have a backup after the old board was down (probably Acmlm or someone even have it inside the old database, dunno know )

I suggest to separate questions from anwers and to direct each question to the answer.
The question should be repeated before each description in the "answers"-section.
Basically good idea using that (renewed) FAQ containing the most important questions, but that doesn't guarantee people would read them

Setting up an AcmlmBoard on Lycos sucks; the preset PMA doesn't seem to allow to dump the data, at least in the German version, since you don't get to that "welcome" screen but will be set directly into tha tables overview. A board without a back-up option - WTF ?
Either install PMA manually (it should work, didn't try it yet), remember to set the correct authentification type and data inside the config.inc.php and start it, or change your host.
And phpMyAdmin _really_ is very easy.
I have no clue about PHP and MySQL, but adding forums, setting up rank pictures, assigning moderators to forums and everything is very easy, so that little tool simply is amazing. Mostly you can work without that knowledge, but you should know WHAT you do some day. Learning PHP (My)SQL might help a lot, like if PMA doesn't work once in a while and something needs to be changed
