Actually the leading telephone and internet provider (Telekom/T-Com) in Germany had a rate like that - you pay a small fee on top to your monthly costs and can place any call inside Germany, except service and mobile phone numbers like 0190/0900 and 016x - 018x of course , for free.
A time you even had free access to the internet on weekends; but the provider suddenly stopped the free internet option and limited that to calls only; since it was not announced but mentioned on the web site only, many people having that option had large bills since they were charged with the normal price without even knowing it (letters came later ).

A private provider still offers that option, but nevertheless I have more from a flatrate; since my costs were already on the border for the price of a flatrate. Two or three Euro more - and I have a fully and limit-less flat; I can run it below the week even if I'M not on the comp

Heh, certain positions still are unfilled of many people; like best avatar - like these and other positions are very often determined by the user level; sure not every time, but also everyone could place a -me- inside that vote; since usually everyone uses his/her picture the user likes the most one - they change sometimes too often; Colleen's "layout" and Kitten Yiffer's don'T change too often - like mine too

That reminds me I should refresh and fill up my list; it still is nearly fully empty

Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1 German, plus having the web content filter The Proxomitron sitting between my browser and my connection, listening on port 8080.

Firefox' theme Noia 2.0 eXtreme really kicks ass and some extensions like the mouse gestures by Optimoz make browsing even more convenient what FF already does.

The level design usually destroyed that - after you mastered flying (very easy - there's even that small beginners area in Donut Plains 1 ) you easily could fly over most of the levels; in SMB3 you had more trouble with this; either it lacked the space to take the speed or the power-meter just stopped when there was no platform to land on

As for swimming control/levels, definitively SMW; you have a better controlling of Mario underwater, and could also influence Mario's height by using up or down on the pad - not possible in SMB3.

Maybe he meant predefined "packages" with certain instruments/notes which differ from game to game ...

So like custom instruments along with the melody itself - it could be considered as a kind of MIDI with custom instruments - usually impossible, and though I have no clue in ASM or ROM hacking at all.
If it were possible to code a MIDI-like engine with basic instruments, it might be okay.
But even if MIDI usually is a basic format, it just is not possible too; to code the instruments from scratch on; somehow implementing the default instruments would be first of out a pain if the ass even if possible and the output would be too plain - and the result would be not as good; sincs SPC defintively has better qualities than MIDI.
Just compare a video-game MIDI with an SPC, quite obious which one usually is better from quality
There'S the format miniPSF for Playstation; some soundtrack have relatively low space issues; the FF7 soundtrack is compressed less than 800k; but if unzipped still about 1 meg, and this is much more than these 64k in SPCs ...
So a similar format like "miniSPC" might not be possible. If there is not other data to shrink, you cannot do anything

Even if, you'd need to the EXACT location you want to have the sound from.
So in Grass Land - map #1 in SMB3 you won't be able to herar the final battle music in his castle, unless that "tool" you search for, could scans through all song files and filter out the values where the songs are - since every ROM may use another order of locations the sounds and music is placed (Kirby's Adventure has a far lot more music than Super Mario Bros for example), so there's no way.

For Game Boy there's these hacks gbs files - hacked ROMs which are like a custom player - but that would be the same as you start up you Winamp with the proper plugin - just loading that "ROM"

Blame all the RPGs, in Final Fantasy or even more in Lufia II the characters carry a shitload of weapons with them; having maybe 250-255 different items at a time (In Lufia it's even more, but the menu cannot hold up more; so sell some stuff and that vendor in that city with the big casino will have all stuff you sold again ), you are prepared on a battle; simply walking around with 50 swords, 40 armor, ten rings, hehe, of course everything fits in your small backpack. You simply switch equipment outside battle

Really neat emulator; it even runs Zelda - Four Swords on my older machine
I'd like a "black background - game centered in the middle or the screen" option like in BGB which emulates GB and GBC ROMs; but the window is even resizable, woot

The ROM chrashed and I also have problems with saving

No way, NSNick, if you still had that sprite from far longer ago, you'd have a fair chance to get at least one vote in that category (you got already a vote from me in another entry- longer ago), but not with that (although neat) joke - not everyone uses IE; I'm not buying it

Vote me and get ten per cent off the next bill plus the nice spell list for Rudra no Hihou

In SMB1, the best location for that trick is the last stairs near the end in 3-1 (or was it 3-2?) with too green Koopas; I also never got it too work, so I always had less than twenty lives when playing all levels, collecting all 1UPs without dying

In SMW2 is it usually VERY easy to get 999 lives, since there is no time limit. Get a place with a pipe having respawning enemies from it (so make sure you have not more than five eggs), get a shell or this small enemy which morphs into a ball and cannot damage you at all. Kick it between that pipe (if you have that 'ball-type enemy; spit it out' close to the pipe - it jumps periodically up and down ^^) and another obstacle, stand on an upper tile, having the pipe inside the screen and just put your paid away, go eating something or into the cinema - and enjoy the biggest three-digit-number of lives without any work when you come back. Then you are even well-suited for really challenging levels like Extra 5 - "Kamek's Revenge"

It's due to the number of colours and the pallette; since you have 16 out of 256 colors, compared to 256 max. colours out of 32768 colors on SNES (may not be correctly in full, not sure) at the same time. And above me it was already said - due to better technical aspects
Also remember the details in Mario's face for example. In SMB1 he has just tiny pixels, in SMW you could recognize them as true eyes.

And a more colorful pallette indicates a more interesting and more detailed Mario - so he gets renewed and renewed the better the console gets: just compare the effect or gradient from a NES and a NGC; quite obvious

As for the crash or the invisible instance of MSN Messenger - it's weird.
If you want ot avoid having it run without your permission (assumed you have NO spyware and already checked it with Spybot and Ad-Aware; and also scanned for viruses or a trojan horse), then disallow its powers in your firewall temporarily - so people also won't be angry why you don't anwser; your system doesn't show the activity openly, but the messenger runs all the time until you realize it

Before the first bridge consisting of SMB 1 tiles, you have an option either to make larger jumps on these one-block-wide blocks on the bottom or climbing up the vine and going into that tunnel of wooden blocks to collect few coins.
The problem is the fall; usually you won't see the place you need to land (in that case one of the two bullet bill cannons/shooter, the left one probably impossible to reach); so I advice to put a coin guide or at least two coins above the second bullet bill shooter/cannon; so it won't be pure luck/reminiscence; and going _back_ the vine would just consume too much time and nerves. You see the coins from above and are ensured you land correctly.

Hard levels = yes, unfairly low placed platforms with no hint at all = 'teh sucks'

Going to bars work well and guessing works too.

Hehe, and now you are already enjoying the very neat box for that game too ... is also good; I never saw a game cover FULLY illustrated with images, and beautiful like hell. At least in Europe, SNES games always had a larger black frame on the left and the bottom

Try to steal spells from enemies; if you are really fast enough you can memorize the Kana and write tham down; so I did my first attempts and I beat Sion's scenario in Japanese (took me _masses_ of tries/time to kill Sion's chapter boss ), when I was ready to face Surlent's quest, the french translation came out
If you got a good spell, try to modificate it; adding prefixes like "Goze" (or even suffixes if that works for the japanese version too) or other ones usually strengthen an effect, but also inrease the MP-usage inexcusably strong. Tactical stuff too; and this along with the limit of items to nine of each piece. And spells like Purumora (steals enemy's MP) are very weak and even don't work in boss-fights, hehe
So balance well; a while I worked with the crappy spell "Gozederefuna" (Surlent's first basic healing spell for all is "Refuna") for 9 HP was weak ... I didn't know it too well, there were FAR better healing spells.
One spell is mentioned in the game, "Megami" - quite average healing for 8 MP; I have still some spells in mind I used for the japanese ROM two years ago; I could PM you them

Whatever ...
Next time I recommened to test layouts or not familiar HTML/CSS in a text file (create one, then rename its to extension into .html; use Notepad to the file itself) on your machine, preventing trapping yourself and not screwing up pages.
Try going back into your profile using your browser's history; then delete all the HTML inside your header and signature.

Try to get an updated copy of an anti-spyware tool onto your computer.
Antivirus might remove them, butt considering deleting spy- and adware, better choices are

Spybot and
Ad-Aware

Update them as you got them, and run them one after another, since product one recognizes stuff the second one might not find and vice versa.

----
bridge.dll is part of a trojan horse.
Also get Hijack This and let it run, copy its result into here. Maybe someone familiar with Windows' registry might find an unwanted entry which could eb considered spyware.
And I strongly recommend to change the browser, if you did not already are using an alternate one than Internet Explore; that one can install malware even when visiting speficically preparated websites only.
