Nothing too much here. My (small) manga collection which consists of 102 volumes/books, my Chrono Trigger US cartridge (my FF6 US is not working anymore )

Then just my huge SPC-, PSF- and NSF collection on PC. I dunno know what I would do without it, since I'm hearing video game soundtracks all the day I'm at home
If I ever would get onto a japanese Rudora no Hihou cartridge for SNES, I would guard it like my eyes

I know quite some other games which you can make with RM2k and others; having jump and runs or even an announced Beat 'Em Up in SNES quality are nice
As for the forum name, I agree too. Since there are various other tools out here, what argument should someone have against the presentation of screens and releases of demos of non-RPGs too ?

I'm bound to use the local trains and buses in Berlin. It takes me exactly fifty-two minutes in one direction (assumed, the train and bus arrive in time, since I need to change from to bus <-> S-Bahn ), other than else I'm only using the train when I'm going to Rostock with friends; nice city and for only 28 Euros you can travel Sunday OR Sunday the whole "Deutsche Bahn" net; you only must not use the ICE ... But you can take up to five people with one ticket; this is just a few bucks for everyone

As for me, I'd like to have such a board, but I think, due to enough (serious) feedback, it would be pretty useless to open the language forum ... again

Am I wrong or did you just use NESish tiles, like the floor in screen 1 ?
Nothing special; the SMB1 flag may be a nice replacement for the goal; FPI Productions already made a similar goal point in his hack
I don't like the ledges in screen 1 at all, in the second screen the coins, the SMAS SMB1 floor tiles and some of the bricks have wrong colours; you might probably try to import the correct level pallette or redrawing the colours manually

SMWExpert, as for your layout, it _is_ not readable though, a click opens a new window:
http://mitglied.lycos.de/mithrandir21/darklayout.png
Though we have to highlight the text to read it

As for the thread; _if_ you get the permission, merging backgrounds and graphics from other hacks ist good; as long all comes along with your own ideas and not with copying ideas as well

Well ... we're not the board staff, since this is an official suggestion; and this is no single RPG Maker/general RPG editor or general game creation forum. Other than else the forum had a considerably low activity level

Most people publish their RPGs on special pages like http://www.rpg2knet.com, gaminggroundzero and such ... Acmlm's Board is predistined for ROM hackers, but not for RM2k/2k3 usually. Nevertheless the name change would fit here

Hehe, indeed it really looks weird to have a graph like this

This time back up the board more often, Ace, and after fifty years of running it (when the internet 7 is the most recent version ), activity.php will be quite long for us

Once I was coming home from watching a football match (we won ), then some fans were _too_ drunken and one of them shouted "Let's hop up and down !"; they began to jump up and down ... until one axis under the bus broke (how dumb can some people be, when drunken ?)
Well, we'll had to wait for the next bus

Posted on 03-18-04 03:01 AM, in Do you insert custom blocks? Link
Why not using Blocktool ?
I never got far in my hack; but certain blocks just are good; as long as you don't base the entire game on custom blocks only; like for covering evil level design or poor graphics.

But some of them, like the one-way blocks or some of the various new ones, can be used in quite good places. Messing around with them can make a hack better; there are even more possibilities.
Custom blocks cannot save a boring hack at all; but used not too much they can challenge the player more and allow to make the player think what to do ("Hey, how can I break this unknown wooden block ? Fire doesn't work ... ahh. there's a Koopa. Let's throw the shell upwards ")

The new features such as a resolution of 640 x 480 in games, new layers and better sound support (aside .mp3 evebn .ogg ) it simply looks more interesting.
Nevertheless it basically it is based on the RM2k(3) engine; but as for reading information found in the Internet, it has neat new additions.

The battle system is weird; on the one hand the really realistic background (due to the finer resolution and thus the gradieents ans such etc.) and a kick-ass lightning bolt for example; but to see comic-stylish monster with this realistic BG ...
This is plain odd and doesn't fit at all

I don't know if I would buy it then; it is pretty expensive, maybe testing the new RM XP would be a nice idea

Hmmm ... newbie or oldbie, good question
I registered here on 06 - 09 - 2002 and got the (precious ) user ID #1400 on the old board.
First I was only interested in SMW hacking only; but I never grew extremly active, had something about 2500 posts before the crash; I'm more that RnH-addicted guy with that weird (boring) layout, but I don't care

At least I was there more than one and a half year ... I haven'T changed much yet.
I'm still one of the people with the largest amounts of text ever, so expectiong a one-liner from me could be pretty rare
Hehe, at least each one's posting style makes someone unique

I'm out of school for several years, but I often hated the early beginning at 08:00 PM, on one day in the 11th class we even had to begin at 07:30 PM ... with 2 lessons of sports
On the other hand delaying would steal much more from the spare time after school ... if you regularly finish school at 14:00 AM or 16:00 AM ... there is a difference
Despite the fact I don't like to get up early every day (especially when I'm at work .. but the job/climate w/ the other employees is good ), I rather choose 'delayed' - so I'd keep the spare time I need after school

And splitting the lessons on several days sucks also ... rather finish off school as fast as possible

That would be _very_ good; ignoring the fact you're able to see the "new messages" entry only when you are on index.php usually
Adding a small pop-up window saying "You got (xx) new message(s) - Go to your inbox | Close this window" should not be too hard

I neither new knew that with The GIMP too ... doing also animated GIF (and maybe even MNG, dunno know ) images
As for myself, I'm using Animation Shop Pro 3, which was included in PSP7, when I bought it some time ago. Pretty neat, easy to use, but not as powerful as Image Ready for example. For my purposes it fits; I'm using only rarely text or image effects, so I'm fit with this program as I can align all frames really fast and create many animations in a short amount of time

I got my DVD player late ... it will be gonna one year in April
Besides the higher quality, space and sound issues the DVD also saves a lot of room compared to a video
As long the DVD recorders are not getting below 200 Euros here, the VHS won't be dead entirely, since the majority of the DVD users own an DVD player, but the videorecorder got its name not randomly though ...
Excluded the fact that all newer computers have an DVD+/-RW rewriter installed, there even are getting new combinations onto the market: DVD- and VHS-Combos ... even the DVD-Combo of one device got a recording featureI recently read about it.

Sooner or longer also digital harddisks should not been forgotten ... they save up to 80 hours of the current TV program; so you're not bound on the actual sending time
But I anyway watch TV rarely only

The industry already works hard on the sequel of the DVD. Sony's answer is the PDD - if I'm not wrong, a PDD with one layer/side already holds at least 20 GBs of data ...

I also have one, a Nokia 3310. It's not the newest model, since it has no WAP-, GPRS-support or does feature polyphonic ringtones or a color display, but for my purposes, mostly SMSing, it fits great
The only thing I might be interested in newer phones are just these mentioned ringtones ... but if I bought one I had more useless crap which I never would use
But on the other hand ... Final Fantasy 6 oder Rudra midis on a cell phone ... holy shit

Err ... if someone wants to leave the board, he/she simply logs out, deletes the URL from the bookmarks or do the method: Go into editprofile.php, type in a random password so fast you cannot remember, log out and you don't have access to your account anymore

Unregistering accounts is useless; most active people who want to take a break from here won't want have their account unregistered at all. Posts and the user name would be gone as well as the registration date (which is much more worth than the number of posts imo
