I thought Cube was better than its sequel, but they both were strong movies.

The prequel sounds interesting, but I hope they stick to virtually no-name actors. The focus is on the Cube mostly, not the people inside it (although they went with the people factor more in Hypercube). That's what rocked about the first two movies.

I don't watch quite enough TV to warrant being on those boards, and they move at hyperspeed anyway, it's hard to keep up.

Of course, these boards can get jumping at times too, so if you're used to this, you can be used to anything.

It was a work, but they laid some nice tricks down, including Matt namedropping ROH, and making some comments towards Johnny Ace.

Not sure if I like this whole "worked shoot" atmosphere that WWE and WWE.com are taking towards the product. It's certainly not bringing loads of people in, since it seems they've already dropped the ball on Hardy.

I love conversations like this.

Here's my master list of shows that earned my heart throughout my childhood:

Doug
Rugrats
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Nick Arcade
Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? (Ditto on the theme and the endgame, two of the coolest things to ever happen in a game show, even though I don't think the kids could EVER find Madagascar, and these days they're making MOVIES about it)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (true fans will spell it all the way out, yo, and once the movie came out, I entered the stage where being an MMPR fan was lame; it HAS become cool again to talk about the Green Ranger and his silly flute)
GUTS/Global GUTS
Roundhouse
Ren & Stimpy (My mother found it disgusting but still let me watch it)
Double Dare (rather enjoy the family version, anything before or after really doesn't grab me)
Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n' Dale's! RESCUE RANGERS! (I played the NES game to death)
Tale Spin (commonly did not keep watching once the theme was over)
Tiny Toon Adventures (provided me with my first exposure to They Might Be Giants)
Animaniacs
Rocko's Modern Life (Mom wasn't bothered by this for some reason. Must've been the B-52's)
The Angry Beavers (Towards the end of its run, I was watching this every morning at about 5 AM, it's the only time they'd show it...I think that was about three years ago )

Saw this last week and felt that it was as good as the original, and was actually much more of a family film than the original: No scary boat ride? No ascent towards the killer fan?

Johnny Depp is the man though. Don't you forget it. He's no Gene Wilder in terms of comedy, but he's a fine replacement for Mr. Wonka.

CD:
Full on the Mouth - People Mover (used for 50 cents, just wanted it for one of the songs that was on the Road Rash soundtrack way back on the PS1 that has been stuck in my head for YEARS and won't get out)

DVD:
12 Monkeys Special Edition
The Meaning of Life Special Edition
Both of those for just over 20 dollars is not bad brand new. Thanks, Best Buy! Don't usually buy CDs that much, but my DVD collection continues to blossom and is now at about 60, even though that's a guess. Need to stop buying them.

EDIT: Just noticed the Miss Machine mention above me and wanted to get out there that Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants is a wonderful song, but for whatever reason I haven't gotten around to hearing the rest of the album. Worth it?

Not expecting very many people to know who I am, as the only notable thing I tried to do on here was chronicle my watching of all the movies on the iMDB Top 250 list, and that was BEFORE this board was reset. Well, I don't have the list right in front of me, but I'd say I'm about 40% of the way towards my goal, even though it's a stupid goal since new movies are getting added and removed each passing day. But that's just how much of a movie buff I am.

I'll try not to disappear once again, but if I do it's because I'm far too busy working at Target (the company that hired Sir Mix-a-Lot to do a creepy commercial about backpacks) as a sales clerk and also moonlighting as the head referee for ScW (www.scw.2ya.com it'sacheapplugyeahbutliketenfansvisitthesiteinagivenday) and also one of the scriptwriting members, although that job is not all it's cracked up to be.

Also trying to get into college, which is always fun when money is tight and your left with the option of going into community college or getting yourself up to your ears in debt. I'd rather work at Target for the rest of my life than be in debt. But I'm rambling now.

Hello again, the first time for most.

Posted on 08-08-05 04:47 PM, in NCAA to ban "hostile" and "abusive" American Indian mascots and nicknames Link
Case-by-case is definitely the way to go, especially if the NCAA is going to use words like "hostile" and "abusive" for a team nickname like "Seminoles". Maybe if they were the Florida State Depressed Alcoholics or something obscenely racist like that, I could understand, but hostile and abusive just doesn't seem to go hand in hand with a team name that shares its name with a tribe.

Of course, I don't know enough about Native Americans as I should, so maybe there's something between the lines of this article.

The insanely badass song from Pearl Jam of the same name. It also helps that I'm atheist.

EDIT: That History Channel show sparked something in the back of my mind, though; the Missing Link argument is pretty good for the Jesus-freaks, but it's not exactly going to keep me away from science just yet.

1) Are you passive or aggressive?
Passive, I'm a man of peace and I don't like the idea of fighting, whether verbally or physically.

2) Are you a leader or a follower?
I find myself unfairly pushed into the role of leader on the day of any ScW show, since I'm one of the scriptwriters I HAVE to be the leader and make sure people are on their marks at the right time. Otherwise, I'd rather prefer to be the followers.

3) Do you work better in large groups, small groups or by yourself?
If we're talking about working in a Target-like sense, then I work better in small groups, because if the group gets too big then I feel like I'm not carrying my share of the workload. If we're talking about working in a social sense, as in how do I like to socalize with people, I'd have to agree with small groups again, as large groups are more easy to offend with my humor than small groups are.

4) Are you chatty or silent?
I'm with Danielle in that if I know you, I'll be chatty with you, but if I just met you for the first time, I don't know what to say more often than not and there are plenty of awkward silences.

I felt Mike TV was the most awesome out of the non-Charlie kids. Even his Oompa Loompa goodbye was great.

Shawn saying those things is not only just being a shooter, but refusing to play the heel against the mega-face Hogan. They're interviewing Kevin Nash to defend that Hogan was power-hungry, etc, and I'm just wondering why Shawn can't put his beliefs aside for a few weeks and play the bad guy and then retire again for a few months.

I think they are working out some kind of reconciliation with Bret Hart for that incident right now. They are releasing a Bret Hart DVD pretty soon, so they probably want to work out something with him to promote it.

I figure this movie is going to be somewhere in between The Longest Yard and Starsky & Hutch in terms of quality. Certainly a far cry from The Rundown.

Cool idea, but I HATE chocolate milk and so the whole point is kinda moot. I like the whole Xbox tie-in (I've noticed that Sony usually doesn't do stuff like this for PS2 games, it doesn't seem like so, anyway), and the option of downloads or ringtones is VERY nice, since the ringtones likely wouldn't be compatible with my Virgin Mobile phone.

Cool idea, nonetheless. I'd actually rather have the free Xbox games than the house party.

Just watched the Doom trailer for the first time and I don't see any difference between the trailer for that and Alone in the Dark except for the absence of breastses.

Going to wait on reviews of this before even bothering to watch it at the bargain cinema across the theater.
