| I haven't bothered to check. How long ago did this happen? Can't have been longer than a few days... strange coincidence, considering the odds of my exact date of revisit. | A fifteen-year-old long-haired orange cat by the name of Lucky. A two-year-old (or thereabouts) chocolate lab dog (that's the breed, not a laboratory dog) by the name of Mary. Lucky hates her. She's my brother's, but... same house and all. A nine-month-old short-haired orange and white cat by the name of Splash. He gets along well with both Mary and Lucky. I'll try to get pictures up next week. |

| I read nutrition facts all the time.... but only out of curiosity. I pay no attention to what I eat, except that I avoid things that say "Atkins Friendly" just 'cause they bug the hell out of me. So anyway, I've almost completely abandoned fast food... not intentionally... I just almost never eat it anymore. Probably because compared to its slow counterpart, fast food ALWAYS tastes like shit. And that, my friends, is why one learns to cook. | |||

| I was reading Game Informer the other day, out of boredom, and someone had written in to ask about the radiation warning inside the gamecube. To my surprise, the GI people didn't correct the person's misinterpretation; they just told him not to take it apart and to send it in to a professional repair blah blah blah. Anyway, I think the guy had a mental image of the gamecube being powered internally by some glowing green stuff straight out of Half-Life (maybe it runs the clock... the RADIOACTIVE CLOCK!), and the response in the magazine really wouldn't have changed that perception... Yeah. The radiation warning is talking about the LASER, also known as "light," which is more scientifically classified as "electromagnetic radiation" along with, you know, radio waves and other invisible things. I'm surprised they don't put "radiation" warnings on light bulbs, come to think of it. Or anything above absolute zero. Anyway, you probably won't have any radiation problems with your system unless you tear off the lid, find the button that gets pushed down for the system to think the lid is closed, and then turn it on and stare into the lens. You might also have to put in a game, then remove it and look really quickly. |
