Jonwil f-ed up or something, so you have to enter the block number in decimal. Go to the Calculator program, and open it up. Enter the Map16 number you wish to use while in hex mode (needs to be scientific), and then switch to decimal. That's the number you enter into Block Inserter. The rest is simple enough.

The only real gripe is that in the third screenshot, the Fire-Objects and the stars clash like a bitch. Also, check the far right-side on the middle. See what's wrong?

You're not missing much. It's a joint hack. And like most joint hacks it has redundant level design (some levels are clones of the original, but that's pretty neat as they use different GFX), a fair amount of bugs and glitches, and AMAZING graphics.

1. I don't think you can. Just use a palette where you can clearly see all colors, and note that the first three are 2. You need to SAVE the file. |

1: Holy crap! Besides the miscolored ship and the Yellow Switch, this is GODLY! 2: Add some textures to the windows and stuff. 3: Slowdown's sure to occur there, and the palette is odd. 4: Fine. 5: Keep it as the nipper plant. 6: The nipper seemed to have broke out in a strange way. Fix that. 7: Besides the palette issues on the stones again, okay. Just darken up the boosters. 8: Good. 9: The arrow is chopped...you'll have to manually add it. And the ledge on the top left is fugly. 10: Ghost-dark should not be used in non-haunted areas like this one. Just doesn't make sense. 11: The status bar is ignorable enough. Nice. 12: Just fix that pipe and ledge issue and you're all set! |

1) Yes, in a way. If you start the player out on an intro level with the message display sprite NOT there, you'll be walking around in the intro level until you come to a point that has one (you put it down the pipe). The music plays as normal once you do, and you'll go to the map. Make sure that there are NO WAYS to die in the intro level, however, for the Game Over screen will NOT appear if you die at one life. And if you get to the MD area after getting less than 0 lives, the game returns to the title screen. |

1: Excellent. 2: New font = TEH SEX 3: Good lord man! That's a crazy rip! 4: See above. 5: Looks a little plain. 6: Okay. 7: Yoshi's House, I presume? Great. 8: It's a little too Lime-ish, you know what I mean? 9: Good. 10: Nice use of the water plants from YI. 11: Average, I guess. 12: Nice background you got there. |

Holy shit pat, never thought this'd be finished. Played it all the way to the end of the last demo (Radical Highway 2)

Spoiler: Also, in the "...?" level, you can "kill" FuSoYa and Relm if you shoot them with a fireball. Not exactly a bug, but it's (edited by asdf on 08-31-04 07:49 PM) |

You can't replace the music...yet...when the Solar Soundtrack program comes out, you'll be able to. And you certainly can't replace a track for just one level (ie, in one level, you play track 2, the normal music, and in another level you wish to play track 2 and get the SMB3 Hilly Music) unless you know some hardcore ASM. Bur once SS comes out, you can just insert a new track. For the Koopa Troopa issue, use ExGFX.
