Change the sprite memory to OD or 04 in the case of Banzai Bill and 0B or 05 in the case of Big Boo.

No. I'm good enough to handle it on my own. Nobody would understand my system of creation.

Okay, first, set the index of one pipe to any value you aren't using, and then go to the second and set the exit index to the index of the first pipe and the index to another value. Now go back to the first pipe and set the exit index to the value of the second pipe. And just in case you want to know... Advanced piping tactics allow you to make 1-way pipes by not setting the exit index of the second pipe, not ending up on a pipe at all by deleting the second pipe and putting a level or something there, and pipes that when you enter them, the pipe you end up at takes you to yet another pipe simply by modify the exit links. |

Layer 2 will only respond to vertical scroll if you set the scrolling rate for it to constant. But even with such a case, it'd be hard because of the messed up vertical level memory maps.

Screenshot 1: Nice! However, the only problem is that the boos are too white, and need to be transparent or something. Screenshot 2: Ugly ground, but nice background. Screenshot 3: Sure as hell doesn't look like a ghost house, but nice nonetheless. |

Yes. The other option is to put a "Dummy" Layer 1 object on the last screen you're using during testing, so auto-set number of screens will set it properly. You can delete it afterwards, just remember that if there is no Layer 1 object on the last screen, you'll have to keep setting it manually.

Completely normal. You need to set up the tiles in the Map16 editor. All ExGFX does that, unless it was made in the same style as the original games.

Or better, make a savestate with you standing at the beginning of the level BEFORE installing the ASM. Then install it and load your hack and open that savestate. Switch to another state, and play on. You may continually save and load savestates as you go through the level. It won't do any harm and it'll work.

Here's what I do. 1) Edit an early level in your hack to contain a warp to the Title Screen Level. 2) Save it. 3) Load up ZSNES, open your hack and start playing 4) Go into the level with the warp. Enter the warp. 5) After the transition is finished, savestate as fast as you can (you can also opt to save before or midway through the transistion). 6) Exit ZSNES, and load up Lunar Magic and your hack 7) Enter the Chelsea Code as usual. 8) Install the recording ASM. 9) Load up ZSNES again. Open your hack, and the savestate. 10) Immediatly switch to another state after loading it and savestate. This will help out a lot in case you screw up. 11) Start playing. You can use and switch savestates throughout the level, which is a great thing (my current title screen took an hour to get right, if it weren't for being able to continually switch and save I'd have a problem) 12) When you're done, savestate and take note of the savestate number. 13) Exit ZSNES and load up Lunar Magic again 14) Enter the Chelsea code, and uninstall the ASM. Now go to the third option in there, and select the savestate that you noted. 15) Load up ZSNES for the final time. 16) Sit back and watch. Watch it at least 3 or 4 times. If anything goes wrong, then go back to step 8. This is why I make a backup savestate for starting this process. |

What's up with this object? You'll need to use insert manual in order to get it. It's a white block that looks no different from the ones LM says are null, but this one says "Reserved for Future Use..." Exactly WHAT are you trying to pull, Fu?

Originally posted by Kyouji "Kagami" Craw No offense pal, but I've played your hack, and what you even got started on your overworld is definetly nowhere near the looks of this. You're just probably jealous or something. And besides, every hacker has their own way of doing things, which is a good thing. Just THINK about it. If all the hacks were the way YOU wanted them, they'd get boring and repetitive so fast. Although I can level with you on issues such as glitched sprites, ugly palletes and crap like that, but being as nitpicky as that just isn't necessary. My comments on the overworld now? Excellent. The only thing I can find wrong is the green stone, unless you plan to reveal a level tile on it and have it be a grassy/rock level. |

Yeah. I used to have it, but lost it somehow. And I require one of the blocks for my next level.

I've done it before. Open up AllGFX.bin in YY-CHR and find Mario's tiles, they should be above Yoshi and the podoboo tiles. You need to set the mode to SNES 4pp if I'm not mistaken. He SHOULDN'T show up as a blur, it's probably your settings or something.

Exactly. Only the ASM hackers have decent bearings now, that's why my hack is gonna a MUCH different style from other hacks.
