Hello all.

This is the first time I've posted here, but I've been coming to this site for a LONG time.

Well, I decided to put together a SMB3 Hack, because honestly most SMB3 hacks are really really terrible. (Except for DarkDaiz's of course)

My question is: When you are in the Map and go to a tube, you always go to the tube "level". Is there a way to disable the tube "level" and make it like SMW where you immediately on the other end of the tube??

P.S.: I'm still having some trouble with the tubes (world map for SMB3) in general. They don't seem to work to well. Help!

Wow, awesome response! (and only in one day)

ARG! I thought I might* be able to disable the pipe "level" thing through some editor.. *dies*

Sorry guys. I did an insane search for SMB3 hacks the other day (I have too many SMW ones) and all I found were amatuerish attempts. Most were boring graphic hacks with no level changes..

But wow, Googie/Schwa those hacks are good. Btw is there a site that hosts GOOD SMB3 hacks?

I realized you have a section in the SMW area with Complete SMW Hacks. But what about SMB3!?

If people could post some COMPLETE and GOOD hacks (in this thread) of SMB3 I'd really appreciate it!

BTW: Is it possible to make the "9th Warp World" an actual world with levels and such? And be able to access it like after world 7 for example? (instead of using Flute)

Yay! Some SMB3 hacks. However it'd be nice to see more complete ones.. (not graphic hacks, no offence)

Post more! (If you can. I'm sure other people would be interested in seeing more too)

Woot! I'm happy to see more SMB3 hacks.

I wanted to ask (since I am working on my own SMB3 hack) How do I change the palette colours? Also how would I change a "block" image on the world map? I tried using YY-CHR but it's a disaster... Seems more like gibberish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ugh. You can only change palette colours in SMB3 by hex? NOOooooooo.

Btw, how do change some overworld graphics in SMB3? For example, I'd like to change the Spade Bonus level box to something else. (instead of a spade maybe a heart)

Keep those SMB3 Hacks coming!!

Woot! Thanks. I now know how to change palette colours!

But, I'm still not sure how to change Overworld Tiles. I tried YY-Chre, and it's not actually a user- (newb) friendly program. Ideally I'd like to draw my own tiles (for overworld) and copy them into the actual ROM.

P.S. Post more SMB3 hacks!

Btw, can I add Animated Tiles? Like the Dancing Flowers?

Ah! I tried YY-Chre again and it wasn't pretty. It doesn't seem to like SMB3 much.. Is there any other Tile Editor I can use for SMB3? I need something more newb-friendly and generally easier to use than YY.Chre.

Btw, beneficii, if you made an Overworld Tile Editor for SMB3 I'd be SO happy! (since your SMB3 map editor ownz!)

Thank you for the input DahrkDaiz. The only problem is I don't understand how the TSA Program works. I'd like to draw in my graphics with simple tools (kinda like Windows Paint)

TSA doesn't seem to do that. And it seems to display only "objects" from the levels and nothing from the Overworld (yes, I read the Readme). I know, it IS possible to customize the graphics, I saw people post new SMB3 Hacks with cool overworld changes, but I can't seem to figure out how they did it!!!

I hope the answer is not YY-Chre. That program seems non-newb friendly.

PS: Sry for being such a n00b.

Omgosh! It's not garbled now!

Thanks Dahrkdaiz!

Btw, sorry for being such a n00b, but I've wanted to enter ROM modding for a while now. I'm taking a rest from Starcraft lol.

Edit: Grr. I've been trying to edit some of these tiles, but it's not working well. As in I can't find certain tiles + the tools in YY-Chre aren't the best. If a Tile Editor specifically for SMB3 existed, it'd help LOTS of people and encourage SMB3 editiing. I'm not asking for an editor just suggesting it'd be SO awesome if one were made.

OMGOSH! YAY!

I'm so happy for a new SMB3 hack! It looks amazing!! (we need MORE SMB3 hacks like this!)

BUT, why only 5 worlds?! I know, I'm being difficult, but you made so much. Might as well do an 8 world hack.
