VB .NET != VB

VB .NET is more like C# with some Visual Basic keywords.

I just stop hacking altogether for a few weeks. That usually recharges my hacking batteries.

I'm personally glad I've never been psycho-analyzed. I already know I'm fucked up in the head, without other people knowing it too.

I'm very sceptical of this. I didn't even know there were any development kits available for the PSP. It could just as easily be a video of Super Mario World playing on the PSP.

Open your ROM in a hex editor and add $200 bytes to the start of it. Bingo. Instant header.

Longhorn may turn out to be a bit of a disaster. Some of the features that were trumped about when it was announced have slipped, and probably won't be ready for Longhorn's release. Plus, some of these features are being backported to Windows XP, so unless there are some fantastic-super-killer features in Longhorn that aren't gonna be available for XP, I see no reason to upgrade.

Personally, when I change my operating system next, it will probably be to whatever distribution of Linux is fashionable/easy to learn at the time (been meaning to get a new hard disc so I can install Ubuntu), or maybe even Mac OSX.

It's more like poorly written webscripts that's the problem. Not Google's webaccelerator.

When you see pictures of games being supposedly emulated on a PSP, just remember that you can put videos onto the PSP.

Even though I've never tried the PSP (won't be out until September over here ), I won't be buying one (for lots of reasons). The primary reason is that none of the announced games really appeal to me, at all. I rarely play new games now, and the new games I usually play are either remakes of old titles, or stuff that has a different gaming experience.

Also, I've read tons of articles that state there are problems with the hardware, and short battery life. Even though apparently things are getting better, it's still damaged the PSP's reputation in my eyes.

Finally, it's just too damn expensive. According to this, it will be

Since when does the colour of a console actually matter? It seems very peculiar to me to have people complaining about colours.

I really enjoyed Megaman Wily's Conquest 2 by HyperMegamanZ. Matrixz's imcomplete Megaman 3 hack was also quite good. Both can be found at DES. Then there was also that Megaman 5 hack by Dark X, I think. Can't for the life of me remember the name.

Even though there are tons of editors for the Megaman games, there doesn't seem to be as many hacks. Shame.

It's really hard to tell what you are asking for here. The thread's title was Castlevania III editor, yet you ask for a Castlevania editor in the post.The only released level editor for Castlevania III is Revamp. Stake is a level editor for Castlevania. Neither of which are DOS based.

Sixtans runs fine under all versions of Windows. Sure, there's a slow mouse pointer issue under XP, but that is fixable with a handy batch file.

Presumably the problem is because it requires not being lazy, and actually reading the manual for Visine/Sixtans/any DOS editor.
