| Ex still pointed her sword at Odin... she wasn't moving... at all. She wasn't even breathing. She was suspended there, like a still image... Then, Odin could hear thousands of whispers... all of them were different pieces of Ex's speeches... Then, a slight impression... a feeling... like a mysterious wind... a black wind that passed by Odin, heading straight for the black hole... a silent, almost impossible to notice, invinsible wind... Then, a shower of meteros was sent from the asteroid belt, straight toward Odin and the 3rd planet! The sun suddenly imploded, going super nova and destroying the rest of the solar system. Odin had protected himself with a barrier and was now rapidly heading towards Ex, hoping the newly formed black hole would slow her down a lot. Ex laughed as Odin dashed toward her and tried to cut her in half. As the blade struck Ex, a loud "CLANG!!!" could be heard. Obviously, the attack had no effect. She didn't even flinch. A black shadow passed in the sky of the 3rd planet, heading toward the sun... Ex: "Heno!!! reesgo th," Ex: "noHe!! re! goes, th!" Ex: "Here goes nothing!" Ex merged with the Black Wind, taking the shape of... she umerged with the Black Wind returning... Ex was in her regular form... she was surrounded by dark flames. Ex laughed at Odin. |

| The guard stared at Nino... Guard: "OK... get inside..." The guard invited Nino to come inside. The nurse was speaking with the dork... Dork: "Well, I'm thankful I'm finally rid of them!" Nurse: "Still, I believe it would have been better for you to wait... yes, she recovered and awakened... but it would have been better if the pokemon had spent a night here... just in case." Dork: "Who cares? I finally traded that Pikachu and Raichu for better pokemons! They were weak and they brought me much trouble anyway..." The dork finally noticed Nino. Dork: "Ha! There you are! Too bad for you. I traded those pokemons you wanted so much!... and I gave each of them to a different trainer! The trade was made trought a teleportation device and since I don't know where I sent them... well, you know what this means. If you want a Pikachu and a Raichu so much... then go and catch one yourself! Hahahaha!" The dork left the pokemon center, happy to be rid of both the two weak pokemons and of that annoying psychic girl. ... During this time... ... Suddenly, something came out of the pond... Out of the pond came a Squirtle... but something was wrong with it. It seemed totally insane and was surrounded in dark flames, a bit like in Serra's stories when she said she had gone "Super" to fight the Chaos Essence... Erdrick: "Wha... what's this?!? A... dark pokemon?!? I tought these were only tales..." ... During this time... ... The life-forms increased their speed at least tenfolds as Dracoon got out of the field! They got closer... closer... closer... and then, Dracoon reached the next field and the life-forms began to circle around Dracoon. Two JRM as well as an old, damaged local battle robot were in the field, cleaning the place. Altought they shown no emotions, Dracoon could somehow tell that they were panicked... | =3: Super Mario Brothers 3 REALLY tough choice. Both games have more or less the same amount of fun, longevity... but SMB3 is more difficult while Link to the Past has better story. All in all, SMB3 wins... by a VERY slight margin. =2: Super Smash Bros. Melee Chrono Trigger is WAY too easy and doesn't have half the replay value SSBM has. SSBM has probably the best multiplayer mode ever too. No brainer here. Chrono Trigger is ABSOLUTELY no match for SSBM... and if you vote for Chrono Trigger... then go on and replay Chrono Trigger and THEN compare it to SSBM! If you STILL vote for Chrono Trigger... then well, you must really dislike fighting games or think that story>gameplay!... no offense if you belong to none of the two categories before and still vote for Chrono Trigger, tough! In short, while Link to the Past and SMB3 can oppose SSBM... SSBM totally owns Chrono Trigger in my opinion. |

| Suddenly, Ex found herself back into the asteroid belt. She felt as if she had been slammed into a brick wall... but thankfully for her, she's immune to being dragged in the time stream... altought the actual impact of having all the Paradoxes collapse on her DOES hurt a bit. Ex: "Errr... ooow... my head... I guess it's your turn to inflict your first bit of damage... or something like that..." Ex got a hold of herself and noticed her vision was all blurred. She wouldn't be able to see correctly for an entire post due to Paradoxal Shock sickness (hey! It is rather rare than Ex breaks the rules of the Time/Space continuum after all! It's not becease she got the power that she always use it and since you can never be immune to Paradoxal Shock until you've been hit by it a few times...). Ex took a defensive stance and prepared herself for Odin's next attack... |

| The nurse stared at Nino for a while... Nurse: "You're probably lying... it's a common trick, after all... but well, since you look so beat up, I guess I don't have a choice but to accept you... and besides, I'm not a heartless bastard like that dork was! Anyway... go to the room #13401. You're lucky... no roomates for this time. Usually, our pokemon center is crowded... but not tonight." ... During this time... ... But then, as the dark Squirtle advanced toward them, more dark pokemons came from the pond... Bulbasaurs, Charmanders, Sandshrews, Zubats, Geodudes... There were dark pokemons from all the species and sizes coming out of the pond and at a constant rate! Soon enough, the whole room was flooded with dark pokemons... Erdrick: "This look ugly! Let's scram!" Erdrick invited the Drake and Sarah to leave the room. ... During this time... ... JRM #1: "Well... the creatures are beings of pure pollution and as such, die within the fields... but the fields are powered by a special type of "Light" energy that cannot be found on this world normally. Unless you have something called a "Blaster handgun" and a "Light Element Module", there is no way you can power-up the purifier." JRM #2: "Also, while the creatures can't get in the field, their attacks sure can! But we're safe, since we have a battle robot, right?" Battle robot: "I don't know... I am damaged and low on ammunition..." JRM #1: "But... but... this is my first day! I don't want to be deactivated!" JRM #2: "Hmph! Not that you're missing much... Cleaning one day, cleaning every day..." JRM #1: "I don't care! I don't want to be shut down! I wanna get out of here!" |

| Odin had, however, forgot something really important about Ex: Ex was blind to illusions... and as such, she didn't even saw the slightest part of that so-called dragon thing. The blurred vision was still a problem... but Ex knew what to do. She curled into a ball and spinned as fast as she could, performing a Spin Attack. Should Odin land any hits with his hands and feet (which Odin is doing with his Dragon Rush attack), he will be the one that will get hurt! |

| OFF: The story won't advanced until tomorrow... in the story, that is. As such, as soon as Nino's and Sarah/Drake's parts are finished, it's on to part 2 of this second chapter!... for the characters who are on the Pokemon world that is. ____________________________________________________________________ Everything was normal in Nino's room. ... During this time... ... The Squirtle was shocked... but it was obviously unnable to feel pain. All enemies were. The dark pokemons advanced foward like a big living wall closing in to a victim in order to crush it... and the fact that the pokemons' bodies didn't seemed exactely solid made it even more believable... Erdrick: "It's even worse than espected... these are NOT dark pokemons... they are living darkness who took the form of pokemons! These are Dark Ones, beings that were spawned from the Mewtwo Wraith's powers!" ... During this time... ... JRM #1: "Problem here... we already said that there's none of this "Light" energy on this world and doing that attack may damag..." BAAAM! Dracoon's rock crusher didn't affected the pollution beings. Completely liquid, they were not affected by regular attacks obviously... However, the two JRM and the battle robot were affected by Rock Crusher! In fact, Dracoon destroyed all three of them and is now alone. The pollution beings continued to circle around Dracoon, interested in him... but seemingly not that much. The Rock Crusher tech had surprised them but... apart from that, nothing. |

| Ex's blurred vision was now completely gone... which allowed her to do a more complex (and fitting) counter. Ex: "Oh no! I don't think so!" Ex decided to use the powers of inertia at her advantage. Executing the Spin Attack had caused her to start spinning at a great speed... and she was going to use this speed to do an interesting counter... Ex: "Just like the "Strongest Warrior Ever" did in Dimension 10410!" Dark Weapon became liquid and was absorbed into Ex's bloodstream. It was a way of sheating Dark Weapon REALLY fast when she needed to do a quick counter that required her to use her bare hands... Then, as Odin's blade was about to hit her, she grabbed her flat of the blade! Then, she let the strenght of Odin's strenght added to her inertia do the job. Ex spinned and spinned, spinning Odin around should he didn't stop holding his sword! Then, after a few dozens spins (which lasted a mere second or so), Ex let go of the sword, letting it (and Odin if he's still holding it) away from her into the closest asteroid at a speed very close to sound... and since there is nothing to slow him down in space, this means that Odin will crash head-first into the asteroid for LOADS of damage. As Ex "unsheated" Dark Weapon (it came out of her body and took the form of a sword), Ex noticed small red masses floating around her... Looks like she had cut herself a bit while grabbing Odin's blade! Second damage inflicted in battle goes to Odin. Ex is fulminating!... altought she will be less angry if Odin was successfully slammed into the asteroid. |

| It seemed that morning came all too soon... and soon it was time for Nino to awaken... ... During this time... ... Serra awakened. For a time, it seemed that the whole pokemon transformation thing had been an illusion... but she finally noticed that she was sleeping on was NOT as confortable as a bed and that both herself and her husband were still in pokemon form. Siryx was right next to her and was still sleeping. Should Serra look around, she will notice several things. First, she's outside, in some kind of farm, and is sleeping on grass in the middle of an area surrounded by fence and inhabited by many more pikachus and raichus. She will also notice that she has been stripped of ALL her equipment and clothes. Same for Siryx. In short, the situation was still bad... but at least, the place looked somewhat safe... ... During this time... ... As the three raced out of the mirror room, they found the main hall to have been transformed to the purple castle variant! Erdrick: "But... how?!? We did NOT enter the purple variant!" Not enough time for questions however! Dark Ones began to flood into the room not only from the mirror room but from ALL rooms! Unless they escaped in the next seconds, they would be surrounded! Erdrick ran for it... Erdrick: "Hurry! HURRY!" ... During this time... ... The blast splittted into thousands smaller ones, unable to lock on a single target and doing no real significant damage. The life readings did not became much lower... in fact, barely any damage was dealt. However, Dracoon had been highly successful into angering the black liquid monsters! The liquid gathered to form 13 arachnid figures all around Dracoon. These creatures were easy to recognise... these were Nightmare Demons, one of the most powerful species of demons ever. Not nearly as bad as Arch Duplighosts or Its... but close. In short, Dracoon's chances of victory are pretty low. Each of them could take on him and inflict massive damage before being defeated... and there was 13 of them... worse! Nightmare Demons like to gang up on foes... and as such, it was probable that unless Dracoon got away, hundreds more would come. Still... how can such creatures live here? Normally, Nightmare Demons only appear in places where they are thousands of tortured souls since the Nightmare Demons cannot eat normal food; they feed on pure negative feelings... in short, they sustain by bathing into people's suffering. It is now obvious that the pollution the Guardians produce is NOT any kind of pollution... (edited by Zerodius on 06-17-05 12:15 AM) |

| Ex smiled as she let Odin grab her limb. This battle reminded her of the very last battle against Siryx, during the final assault on the UEN battleship... exept that she hoped the fight would end differently. She wouldn't want the fight to turn like it did on the LuciferXIII... and especiallly not with a 73 years-old human! Still, the fight was rather familiar in it's flow... as if both already knew the victor before the end but both continued to fight "seriously" even with the knowledge that they were both fighting to reach a goal... altought Siryx was indeed surprised when Ex was the victor in the end of the UEN mothership fight! Once Ex's mind finished wandering, she noticed she was flying toward an asteroid. Ex: "Amazing!... I think I'll wait a bit before releasing a bit more of my power... fighting up and personal is quite... pleasing..." Ex pointed Dark Weapon foward and tried to change the angle of her spin so that she would pierce trought the asteroid like a drill... and did!... but not completely however. She had stopped having flashbacks a bit too late and as such, still got bruises from passing trought the asteroid. However, she no longer cared about taking hits. The hormones were flowing trought her veins as, for the first time since centuries, she was fighting someone that was not a total pushover. |

| Ignoring the educational games... I'll say: Donkey Kong Altought it was an arcade game, it's definitely easier than SMW. Yes, you could spam the feather in SMW (which is one of the only two real reasons why it's not better than SMB3 in my opinion)... but did you tried to beat the game fair and square? Not so easy anymore? I tought so... ...and if this STILL doesn't convaince you... then go to the Special World and be amazed by levels worthy of SMB2J! I still think Outrageous and Tubular are yet to be beaten in terms of frustration. Even Mario Sunshine's totally evil boss battles (CURSE YOU STINGRAY!) and retro stages cannot outdo SMW's Special World. As such, SMW doesn't win the award. Donkey Kong on another hand... once you get used to the whole "jump and run" technique to get around (in short, once you know how to play the game), beating the game isn't a challenge. The patterns are predictable, the enemies are dumb and slow, not that many obstacles, e.t.c. But that doesn't keep Donkey Kong from being really fun! (edited by Zerodius on 06-17-05 12:24 AM) |

Do they have any unique characteristics?" ... During this time... ... Siryx: "Hmm..." Siryx rolled to the side, still sleeping... and then, suddenly, he awakened! It was as if a natural alarm clock had been activated within him or something... Siryx got up really quickly, almost panicking. Siryx: "Huh huh huh?!? What is it? What is it?" Siryx took some time to notice the female pikachu right in front of him who happened to be his wife. Siryx: "Se...rra? SERRA!" Siryx hugged Serra! He was crying... Siryx: "I was so worried when Soul Eater told me that... told me that... that you had a cardiac arrest and that there was no life readings from you! I tought that you had vanished forever..." Siryx made a step backward and got a hold of himself... Siryx: "Err... sorry about that... but I'm still REALLY relieved to see that you're still among the living. This place looks like..." Siryx looked around... Siryx: "Most definitely! We're in a pokemon farm, dear! This means that humans will come sooner or later and pick partners for us, hoping that we'll mate with them. I know of this becease... well..." Siryx became a bit... uneasy. He always felt uneasy speaking of how his original self enjoyed torturing the real Ex Lightheart mentally becease that... well... he's not the original Siryx and Serra IS this Possibility's Ex Lightheart and he tought that enjoying torturing Ex was like enjoying torturing his own wife... which is plain wrong... not that enjoying torturing anyone is better! ... During this time... ... The three got out of the castle... to find the Silver Valley totally overrun! They were completely, totally surrounded! The Dark Ones came closer... Dark One (Squirtle form): "Join us... in the... eternal... darkness..." Dark One (Charmander form): "You are... one of... us... We can... sense the... Dark Power... within you..." ... During this time... ... The Nightmare Demons turned liquid and gave chase! Altought they were faster and more agile than Dracoon, the Rock Crusher attack had slowed them down considerably and allowed him to escape. As Dracoon reached the next purifier, the Nightmare Demons gave up and returned to feast on the souls of the three robots Dracoon had just killed by accident. Their suffering would contempt them for days... and cause the souls pain for eternity probably... and all of that becease of Dracoon's misfire... |

| Ex smiled... so far, she had kept herself from using her stronger physical moves, preferring to fight from a distance... but the time had come now. Ex used her powers and cleared the dust all around her, making herself visible. Ex: "Alright! Let's stop using tricks just for a while and let's fight for a little while like real warriors! Just us, our weapons, and our skills! No Dark Overdrives, no Summons, no Techs! Just our ability to fight to it's rawest form!" Ex stopped herself from spinning and took a fighting stance. She held Dark Weapon with only one hand and invited Odin to come closer with her left hand. The way she smiled... Ex: "Odin... Don't keep a lady waiting! I want you... to fight me using only your main weapon and nothing else! Dark Weapon versus Gungir... with equal power and range and with no Techs involved! I'll even disable the advantages Dark Weapon gives me to make this fight even more fair... just becease you aged really well and thus, is still cute even after all those years!" Ex winked. She hoped that Odin would be rather... shocked and lower his guard... or do the opposite and remain on his guard. In both cases, she would be happy. |

Pikachus are very common and Raichus aren't much more rare either..." ... During this time... ... Siryx: "That could be a good idea... but you have to remember one thing, Serra..." Siryx approached Serra and then whispered something to her that she did not understand... immediately, Serra's mind was cleared of all toughts... Siryx: "Mind cleared of all toughts, isn't it? Just as I tought... When a pokemon is caught, thousands of chemicals are injected... chemicals that weaken the mental resistance. The fences won't keep us from escaping, Serra... we will keep ourselves from escaping. Just try it, Serra! Try and go under the fence... you will suddenly feel the urge to come back here and will obey instantly." As Siryx finished, a human entered the area and began to walk toward them. Siryx: "Oh great... I REALLY hope that we're not next..." ... During this time... ... Erdrick stared at Drake... Erdrick: "Hmm... what are you talking about? You can't have any darkness into you! Only evil people use the powers of darkness!... and we have to escape anyway!" Dark One (Ekans form): "HISS!!! Keep away!" The Dark One spitted poison needles at Erdrick... but missed and struck Drake unstead! Erdrick: "See! It's real! And now... they will kidnap him! We have to get out of here, ASAP!" Erdrick jumped on Sarah and tried to force her to come with him while it was still time!... but he knew she would resist since Fate had dictated it. ... During this time... ... Unfortunately for Dracoon, the energetic configuration for the Light used in the blast was incompatible and had no effect... he REALLY needs the Light Module in order to power the purifiers and strike the Nightmare Demons. However, his attack did have an effect... the Nightmare Demons let the souls go as they got angry against Dracoon again! Great masses of liquid moved at a high speed toward him... and there were no purifiers ahead! It was a deadend! |

| Without Dark Weapon to slow time for her, Ex relied on a mix of instincts and reflexes... Totally focusing on the present situation in order to react better, Ex placed Dark Weapon's blade right in front of her as Odin struck... then, as he raised the spear to hit her head, she leaned backward, still placing the blade of her weapon against the spear's tip... and finally, she swung Dark Weapon, trying to disbalance Odin by sending the spear toward the upper-right, away from her. Upon finishing her counter, Ex made up a plan in her head within a few milli-seconds... Ex did an upward thrust at no one in particuliar (more of a show-off and signal move than anything) and then did a very quick serie of stabs, all aimed at Odin's chest by at different angles. Then last stab was much slower but also much stronger. The goal of this quick combo was to further place Odin in a situation of discomfort and pave the way for more combos. |

| Actually, Donkey Kong has an ending... but it's like Super Mario Brothers, first of the name. Once you finish the game, you restart... exept everything gets harder... and since this is an arcade game, the difficulty just keeps on becoming higher until it becomes truly impossible. |

| The nurse stared at Nino... she really wanted to help but well... once a pokemon was traded, it was hard to find it... Nurse: "Well... they're gone now. I don't know how I can say this... but you have to forget about them. I'm sure their new master will treat them in a good way and make them into superb pokemons... who knows? Maybe they'll appear on TV, during the matches of the upcoming Tournament?" ... During this time... ... Siryx: "Doesn't work. Ex tried it in her home Possibility... and anyway..." The human stopped just in front of Serra... It was only then that Siryx noticed that it was a woman. Probably 30 years-old or something like that... Woman: "Hi there, pikachu! You're really cute, aren't you? Calm down... I'll find you a worthy partner..." Siryx: "Err... actually... she already have a partner..." Woman: "I know that you're called Raichu. No need to remind me!" Siryx: "I didn't said my name! I'm trying to say that Serra is... well... my wife and since we're happy together, I don't think she need a new partner." Woman: "I understood. The woman grabbed Serra and carried her to the opposite side of the area and placed her next to a male pikachu. Then, she left. (male Pikachu): "Err... hi? So... you're new around here, aren't you? I'm Zapper, the dominant male around so... well, that means we'll meet each others at the breeding area, heeheehee!" Siryx: "I HEARD THAT!" Zapper: "Look at that! The newcomer wants to challenge ME! Very funny..." Siryx promptly proceeded to zap Zapper with all of his powers! While the thunderbolt wasn't strong at all... it seemed really strong to Zapper! Zapper: "AAAAAAAAAAACK!!! CAN'T... STOP... SHAKING... AAAAAACK!!!" The woman turned around and pointed a pokeball at Siryx. Then, a strange beam was shot from it. Siryx attempted to avoid the beam... but was still struck and was sucked into the pokeball. Woman: "This male seems aggressive..." The woman walked away. Zapper: "Hmph! What a loser! Anyway... what's your name?" ... During this time... ... The Nightmare Demons assembled around Dracoon. There was about 20 or so of them this time... One of them couldn't bear to stand there roaring any longer and actually attacked. It spitted a large sphere of Dark Matter at Dracoon! As almost everyone knows, Dark Matter are actually living creatures which means that upon being hit, the victim will be possessed... and even machines could be possessed! As such, if Dracoon didn't avoided the incoming black sphere, he was basically condemned to join the Nightmare Demons as a slave of some sort... and for a period of time varrying between entire centuries and the whole eternity. In short, he MUST avoid this attack at all cost! |

| Ex smiled as each of her strikes were blocked. Ex: "Nice... but I'm just warming up!" Ex decided to move on with real moves. She would do just like Siryx, using combos of an ancient but terribly effective fencing art... an art specialised into breaking defenses and killing the foe; in short, an assassination combat style... one worthy of a living weapon. Ex, still wielding her weapon will only one hand, stretched her left arm upward... the inertia of space would work in her favor, making the incoming attack even deadlier. Quickly, moving only her hand and not the arm, Ex spun Dark Weapon around like a fan... the speed and strenght of her attack was unbelievable. First, she simply lowered the angle at which she held Dark Weapon, executing a slightly downward slash to the right that would push Gungir away. Then, Ex chained with a quick stab to the heart followed by a downward slash to the left, then she lowered her left arm and did an upward stab that would pierce trought the upper part of Odin's chest and pierce trought his face, slicing open his chest, neck, and head all at the same time! Finally, she would finish with a final stab/downward stab, aimed at the chest. It was a very fast and hard to block combo... and since there is incredible inertia in deep space, the attacks would go even faster and knock Gungir even farther for each strike. The key of this combo was balance. As long as Ex kept her balance, there was no way the attack could be blocked... but if she lose her balance, the whole combo fails... but the combo was designed so that should Ex lose her balance, she will be knocked down on her knees which makes a second attempt at the combo impossible... but also makes it hard for the foe's counter to actually connect since Ex is knocked away from the enemy. |

| Phantron felt the aggressiveness grow in Jackson's voice... Phantron: "I do not fear your primitive weaponry, human... but I do fear for your safety. I came here... to seal myself. I came into this world, hoping it would be devoid of life... but humans inhabit this world... which is what I had feared. My power... is too terrible for anyone to wield and transmits itself to all those I meet without me having any control over the transmission... which means that if you value your life, you will leave this place and seal it!... and that you will make sure never, ever gets close to it ever again!" Phantron made a step backward... Phantron: "It is for your sake, human. I already caused enough destruction already... do not let your world become the next victim of my power..." It seemed as if Phantron had absolutely not the intention of telling Jackson what was that terrible power she was speaking of... but judging from the way she was speaking of it, Phantron was terrified of herself... and yes, Phantron is female!... well, she assumes she's one since it's hard or even impossible to tell if a machine is male or female. |
