| CAPTAIN OBVIOUS TO THE RESCUE! Err... DOH! My username on this board is NOT Captain Obvious!... well, too bad I guess! Anyway... The PS2 is the least powerful, Xbox is the most powerful, Gamecube is in the middle. PS2 has FF (blah!), Metal Gear Solid (not so blah), and other titles I don't quite remember. Xbox has Halo, Halo 2, and... err... Halo. Gamecube has SSBM, Metroid Prime, Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, and lots of other games I won't name. My opinion is: Gamecube > PS2 > Xbox ... But this is my opinion. The real anwser is: =THIS THREAD HAS BEEN HIJACKED BY FANBOYS. ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO RESCUE THE THREAD?= |

Bio Spark: "Your task, lowly Dark Limbas and Troopers, is to serve the Queen and the Queen does not care for your individual worries and conflicts! Now..." The Bio Spark disappeared in the shadows once again! Bio Spark: "Sir Kibble! Attack!" Sir Kibble: "Hmm... ok..." Sir Kibble approached Kirbynite... Sir Kibble: "Let's ditch those f*****g stupid special moves and let's fight like true warriors, without useless gimmicks! In short, no stealing Copy powers from others! No interventions from other fighters! Just you and me... my Boomerang Blade against your Star Rod!" Sir Kibble took off the blade off his helmet. It was, in truth, a sword! | Ex smiled as the lightning was sent toward her. Ex: "Bad idea... bad idea..." Ex was shocked by the lightning bolt!... but since Ex was, well, a humanoid pichu after all, it meant that she was highly resistant to electricity. As such, while she did suffer damage, she still absorbed more than 85% of the electricity and used it to over-charge her handgun instantly. The handgun's cannon grew longer and the gun turned red. Ex: "Can you take the heat?" A continual stream of ultra-hot plasma clouds was shot from the handgun. Each cloud was hot enough to melt any know material and was more or less ignoring the air currents; a simple breeze wouldn't be enough to send them away... Power wise, standing in a plasma cloud for even a second hurts as much as being hit with a Fire 3 spell. In short... this is REALLY powerful... but it should be espected since this is Ex's Blaster handgun's strongest attack! |

After searching the area, a couple of items could be found: -a strange piece of black metal (energy signature similar to Dark Weapon's) -various healing items -An old broken Blaster handgun -money! money! money! ========== BEL EVENT ========== Bel didn't run into anything interesting on his way to the items. Inside of a shiny high-tech chest was: -some top-secret files discs! -a strange claw with crystals representing the elements of Light and Darkness on it -a strange claw with crystals representing the four main elements on it -more money! money is fun! ============ DESTIN EVENT ============ The darkness had no effect on Lucyder's shield. The shield wasn't made of the same type of energy as normal shields were made from and as such, couldn't be destroyed using an energy-draining tech. Lucyder: "Nice try but..." Lucyder took out the remote. Lucyder: "Let's see how you can do against this!" Lucyder activated the remote and then thrown it on the floor before smashing it into under her right foot! North: "Activating offensive battle mode... ready." Lucyder: "NOW we're talking!" North revealed it's missile launcher arm and shot 6 homing missiles! Half would follow Destin while the remaining ones would follow Blink! During this time, Lucyder just stood there, laughing. | Ex smiled as she stared at Star. Ex: "Tactics is my second name, Star!" Ex continued to smile. She seemed so confident... Ex: "Things are heating up around here... a bit too much. I'll cool down the atmosphere a bit!" Ex's Blaster handgun's cannon turned shorter but larger in term of height. It also turned blue. Then, she began to charge energy into the handgun... Ex: "Tell me... why did you joined Fenrir's cause? I heard one side's version of the story... I want to know what is the opposite side's version." ... NeoBowser ignored Bel. He didn't care for the overconfident moron and his so-called "undodgable" attack. While Bel believed his attack to be impossible to dodge, NeoBowser knew that Fenrir would cancel this attack easily... not that it was important. NeoBowser's current concern was Ex and Star. Ex was starting to ask questions... which is bad. They must not ask questions, they must fight! |

| OFF: Just a little note... the conversations between Ex and Dark Weapon usually last less than a second since nervous signals travel much more quickly than sound after all. ____________________________________________________________________ Ex: "There's no way I'm going to miss an opportunity to help the forces of Good whenever I can!" Ex paused. Ex: "Good... Evil... th..." Dark Weapon *thinks* But will you SHUT UP and actually help them?!? Ex *thinks* So your transfer was successful? Good! Dark Weapon *thinks* Mostly... but the transfer of the Good Elements was unsuccessful. In our own world, the elements are Courage, Power, Wisdom, and Hope... but in this world, it's Virtue, Respect, and Honor. As such, the Good Elements I was infused with were incompatible and could not arrive. Ex *thinks* Is the Energy Receiver Module intact? Dark Weapon *thinks* Yes. In time, you'll be able to infuse me... and yourself... with the Good Elements of this world... if they exist physically. Ex *thinks* I see... what is your physical and mental integrity state? Dark Weapon *thinks* Edge has been reverted to Level 1. Soul intact. Soul Energy reserves empty. Ex *thinks* The usual... Any of my offensive powers locked? Dark Weapon *thinks* Most Techs locked... but since you were exposed to so much energy, you have all of your Level Alpha Techs, Dark Overdrives, and Unison/Full Synchro Attacks. In short, you start slightly stronger than usual. Ex *thinks* Defensive capabilities? Dark Weapon *thinks* Damages to me hamper your ability to concentrate thus reducing your speed and reaction time by 90%... but your actual reflexes, without me, are intact which means that while you won't be able to go toe-to-toe with deities or machines, you're still much faster than the average human. Your ability to absorb energy was reduced dramatically however. You cannot absorb any kind of energy, sorry... and there's worse! Ex *thinks* What? Dark Weapon *thinks* It seems that the power of the Dark Matter was not enough to completely turn you into a being of Light... as such, this body is merely an armor... and if that armor is removed, you'll be exposed. Ex *thinks* And so what if I'm exposed? Dark Weapon *thinks* Remember that each Dimension is made of at least two sub-dimensions: Light and Darkness... and beings of each sub-dimension cannot survive in the other one. The very air is corrosive to your true form, Ex! You'll need to hide in bubbles of pure darkness in order to survive should your armor be breached or removed. Ex *thinks* Sounds bad... but if I'm careful, it shouldn't happen. What about my mechanical parts and my ability to see? Dark Weapon *thinks* Mechanical parts intact. You can dash and double-jump using the thrusters in your feet. Your jump ability is still enhanced by your special shoes, allowing you to jump amazing distances and use jumping offensive Techs. Spindrive engine intact. You can Spindash and Screw Attack foes to oblivion. Alternate vision modes intact. Light/Dark vision, X-rays, Sonar, name them you have them! Personnal shielding online and Reactive Internal Armor intact. Weapon enhancement parts online. In fact... I'm surprised that all of your mechanical systems are intact. It seems as if the robotic parts of your body were unnaffected by the flux of Time and Space. Ex *thinks* Well... that was unnespected! I should take advantage of that while I can!... who knows? Maybe the effects of flux of Time and Space on my mechanical parts were only delayed, not stopped. Anything else? Dark Weapon *thinks* Well I think that's it. According to what you heard... I think that our current destination should be the Good-Evil gridlock. Something must be disturbing the gridlock... and the combined powers of you, the Psi Warriors, and the others should be more than a match for the source of the disturbance! Ex *thinks* Understood. | Ex noticed Fenrir and Odin... Ex: "Hey! Star! Serra! Bel!" Ex pointed her Blaster at Odin. Ex: "Time out! Now it's our only chance to separate them before everyone gets killed again!" Ex unsheated Dark Weapon and held it with her right hand while she carried the Blaster with her left hand. Suddenly, Ex's shoes opened revealing... thrusters?!? Looks like Ex has cybernetic implants after all... Ex dashed at a speed close to the speed of sound, trying to reach Odin and Fenrir before the explosion happened. Ex: "Oh no, you won't! I will not allow you to unleash the wrath of Ragnarok on innocents!" Ex suddenly exploded, revealing the being beneath the humanoid yellow mouse. Ex's true form was, actually, identical to her normal one exept that she was permanently covered with dark flames, her fur was black, and her eyes were blood-red. Dark Weapon, too, had revealed it's true form. It was gigantic and covered with eyes and tentacles. As for the Blaster handgun... it was no longer a handgun. It had merged with Ex's left arm, transforming into a Blaster Cannon. Under her true form, Ex was extremely powerful... but unfortunately, since she was pure darkness, the very air was corrosive to her true form and as such, it was obvious that she wouldn't be able to remain in her true form for long. Still, she believed that it was worth the damage and pain. She would use the extra power it gives her to prevent the death of millions of innocents. The pain of being slowly consumed is nothing compared to the lives of innocents... and anyway, this wasn't going to be fatal. It would just hurt for a while and that's it. Ex *thinks* I don't know if we can do it but... Dark Weapon! Dark Weapon *thinks* Activating Dark Overdrive. Creating Dimensionnal Anomaly. Preparing to alter the very fabric of Time and Space. Prepare yourself! This WILL hurt! Ex *thinks* I'm ready. Dark Weapon *thinks* 100% power output. Ex *thinks* Let's do it... NOW! FLASH! Ex's speed increased so dramatically that she actually went beyond the speed of light, thus breaking the Barrier of Time and creating an anomaly that caused her to be everywhere at once. In short, she had entered the Forbidden Travel Mode, Warp 10. Everything had completely stopped around her. Her past, present, and future were all there, staring at each others. Dark Weapon (from present) *thinks* We're too weak for this, Ex! I can last 140 seconds by myself! Dark Weapon (from future) *thinks* 240 seconds actually if we count the Paradox effect. Dark Weapon (from past) *thinks* Careful! As long as we're the only ones affected by the Paradox effect, we'll be alright... but whatever you do, do not draw Odin and Fenrir in the Paradox! Ex (from present) *thinks* I'll do my best. Ex's past took the place of Ex's present to make sure nobody would notice that for a split-second, Ex had vanished completely. Then, the present and the future approached Odin and Fenrir. A link of energy was binding the two together. This link was the source of the destruction for each time one tried to overpower the other, the link would grow and become more destructive. Ex (from future) *thinks* It will be hard to break this in our current power level... but if we unite, I'm sure we can at least prevent the destructive energy from consuming everything. Ex (from present) *thinks* Let's get to it. The two pointed their Dark Weapons at the link and then slashed the air around it, creating a rift in time and space, some kind of black hole that would delete events in the Universe's Timeline. Then, they attempted to throw the link into the rift, returning it to nothingness. Dark Weapon (from present) *thinks* It's working!... I think. Dark Weapon (from future) *thinks* We're running out of time! 15 seconds before we return to normal! If the past, present, and future does not reunite into a single existance within the time limit, we'll be erased from the Timeline! Ex (from future) *thinks* But... if we do not complete the operation, there are chances it may not happen completely!... or worse! It will simply not happen and we will have wasted energy! Ex (from present) *thinks* Maybe but if we die, the operation will never happen for we will have never existed in the first place. We've done what we can. Let's hope it is enough to counter Fate... The Ex from the present touched the future and they became one. Then, the present and future united touched the past, thus uniting all of them back into a single being. Then, in a flash of light (that no one but Ex would ever see, ever), the Paradox ended. FLASH! To everyone but Ex, it seemed as all she did was just get in close and then stand there... but Ex hoped that the Paradox had not been supressed by Fate and that it would take effect, thus nullifying the destructive force Odin and Fenrir had created. The only detail that could show that Ex had ever attempted to do a Paradox was that Ex's reserves of Life Force and energy had been cut in half all of a sudden for seemingly no reason... Dark Weapon *thinks* It's now or never! If the Paradox was successful, it will happen in 5 seconds... else, nothing will happen. OK... 5... 4... 3... Ex *thinks* If you can hear me, great Creator Chaos, I hope that you're good enough in this Possibility to allow this Paradox to happen... Dark Weapon *thinks* 2... 1... NOW! | OFF: Oops! Realised I forgot to substract Life Force from Jarukoth when he was hit by the poisonnous blade and every other turn becease of the poison. Well... I'll fix that right now! ____________________________________________________________________ Jarukoth struck two ninjas as they attacked him from the front, thus killing them. However, those that were behind him vanished in a puff of smoke as he slashed them. There were now bombs where the ninjas once were!... bombs? Looks like those ninjas have a more modern equipment than it would seem at first! Anyway... Jarukoth has exactely 1.0032 second to get out of the way before the bombs explode right in his face!... but even if he doesn't dodge them, the bombs doesn't seem that strong. | Ex: "Gotcha! I did it!" Ex *thinks* Do you think that the Paradox was enough? Dark Weapon *thinks* Dimensionnal Anomalies are very, very powerful. This bubble should stop the explosion from harming anyone... and just as you had guessed, Odin and Fenrir are immune to their own power. Ex *thinks* Good... but as long as the two will fight, I will be unable to rest. We must keep on following them! I must find out why Odin and Fenrir despise each others... for REAL, not that world domination crap." Ex suddenly felt an intense pain. She felt as if the sun had suddenly became a gigantic fireball that was burning her. Ex: "AAAARG!" Ex fell to her knees. In her true form, the very air was harmful to her... but since she was so busy with the Paradox, she had not felt the pain until now... and how intense this pain was! She felt as if she was completely covered with acid! Ex *thinks* Restore the armor! Restore the armor! Dark Weapon *thinks* I'm doing it as fast as possible! In a flash of light, Ex's dark aura disappeared and her fur and eyes returned to normal. She (and Dark Weapon) was back to her regular form. Ex *thinks* Phew! Man... this hurts!... but it was worth it. This continent is safe now. ... During this time... ... NeoBowser was fulminating! The anomaly kept the destruction from spreading. NeoBowser *whispering to self*: "That stupid rat! Always getting in my way..." NeoBowser tought it would be a good idea to counter that anomaly. While he wasn't strong enough to undo the anomaly... he could maybe add a little dose of "destiny" to the mix? NeoBowser closed his eyes and used the Trident to send messages to the deities of this Possibility... NeoBowser *using telepathy*: "To all deities that oversee this world... a mortal has dared challenge your authority! He has dared to alter the fabric of Time and Space in an attempt to change the Timeline YOU had planned! I believe you won't let that mortal get away with it, aren't you? The source of this anomaly, this abomination, is Ex Lightheart, the humanoid yellow mouse with a big sword made of flesh. You can't miss her." |

Strangely enough, while the shield was weakened by Breaker, it wasn't broken. It seems as if the shield is made of Life Force and as such, it is as if Lucyder had to be killed twice in order to be truly defeated. Lucyder: "WHY YOU?!?" Lucyder countered Destin's attack by striking the ground just below Destin, raising a tall column of fire out of the ground! Then, if it connects, Lucyder will jump and pummel Destin mercilessly as he's stuck into the ceiling becease of the column of fire. However, if it misses, Lucyder will teleport at the other side of the room and prepare to attack... As such, Admiral Zerodius and the Vice-Admiral, Dreickonis, have decided to create a new Project... a Project which would create a force unlike anything we saw before, a force that could actually be a match for the UEN. However, it seemed that the Admiral and his second-in-command couldn't agree on the Project's nature. As such, most of the Hunters' best scientists went on with Dreickonis on their way while Zerodius worked alone in secret along with the best mortal heroes and scientists and some lesser Hunter scientists. After 75 full years of work, both arrived with a different Project. Altought it was decided at first that both Projects would be used at the same time... some events caused Dreickonis's Project to be cancelled. The reasons for the cancellation of his Project shall be included in later notes. =NOTE #2 "Project Ex" by agent Jakes, General of the Hunters Today, the Admiral presented his Project to us... and I cannot believe it. It took them 75 years to do... THAT?!? Admiral Zerodius has always been a weird Hunter agent, full of contradictions... but never was it more apparent! Get a load of this: he believe we need to use the powers of Darkness to defeat the UEN! What a loser! As everyone knows, Darkness is the element of destruction, death, and fear... how could it be used for Good? No way it could, I tell you! Then, there's that stupid Dark Weapon thingy. It's made of souls so it cannot be good. How is it acceptable to murder innocents so a weapon can be built? I tought protecting the Universe was our duty, after all... and now, we need to slaughter those we were supposed to protect in order to create a weapon of some sort! Worse, it's of pure darkness!... and by that, I mean lack of light, not dark power! How can the power of emptiness harm anyone? Things such as Eternum are only myths, after all! To make matter worse, the creatures born from this Project, the "Ex" beings, are actually mortals! I do not care if they have DNA pieces from almost all of the strongest heroes alive! He created MORTALS to cry out loud! The UEN will crush them, believe me! Still, for some strange reason, the Project has struck a cord among many a Hunter... I fail to see why. Well... thankfully that Dreickonis has shown his Project to everyone! =NOTE #3 "Project Lavender" by agent Lyle, head of the Science Department for the Hunters Dreickonis finished showing off his Project, Project Lavender. For a Project that is supposed to be revolutionnary, it's hardly any good... but well, I'll review it all now. First, Project Lavender's goal. It's goal is to create beings of pure Light that would purify the souls of mortals that are "infested" with Evil and destroy the UEN agents. That, in itself, is totally ridiculous. Purify people from Evil? Evil is not a force by itself, it is the combined effects of Hatred, Destruction, Terror, and Despair... which by themselves, are not only not truly Evil, but are necessary to the very souls of conscious beings. No negative feelings, no positive ones! The method of purification is flawed too. People are analysed according on how "bright" is the Light within souls and then, "infested" beings have their souls over-written. Personally, over-writting souls is probably the most vile crime that can be done... for it is to erase someone completely, turning him into something he was not supposed to be. Also, determing if one is Evil or not solely on the "brightness" of one's soul is stupid. It's not becease a mortal worship us everyday or/and has angel wings that he's not Evil! As for the fighting method of the creatures... it's classical stuff... read: inneffective against the UEN. Wasn't the angels' crushing defeat at the hands of the UEN a clear enough exemple that the traditionnal way of fighting Evil are not effective against this new enemy? It is not important if those new beings are more than 2000 times more holy than angels and more pure... they remain inneffective. Also, the lack of real weapons on those beings makes them ridiculous. Holy water won't do much against an Evil protected by thick layers of energy shielding and metal armor!... and even without protection, more than half of the enemies are actually mortal and are immune to Holyness! The most blatent flaw in the Project is the fact that the beings of Light, which he named "Arch-Seraph" (can he get any more cliched?), are completely and entirely immortals... which means that they can be killed instantly using a basic Banish spell. Such a flaw cannot be accepted when dealing with an enemy as powerful as the UEN. All in all, Dreickonis simply wanted to impress people with stats and fake reports. As always, he manipulate people and show them what they want unstead of what they need. As such, I recommend that Project Lavender shall be cancelled as it is a waste of ressources. A being of pure Light to fight Evil? Maybe... but not in the way Dreickonis imagined it! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ============ DESTIN EVENT ============ North got into the way of Destin's attack and used it's Power Shield arm to block Destin's shield. Lucyder: "What is it, cutie? Do you have problems with my robot? Heeheehee!" Lucyder placed her hands in front of her and began to charge... During this time, the grey robots tried to approach Blink. They seemed totally unarmed and their small, weak arms seemed unnapropriate for combat. | Suddenly, something got in the way of Ex's concentration. It was a feeling of minor pain. She opened her her eyes, wondering where the feeling came from and noticed Ami still hovered around her, shooting beams at random. Ex: "OK... you're definitely annoying!" Ex blocked the next incoming beam with Dark Weapon and side-stepped the last one. Once this was done, she changed the way she held Dark Weapon. Unstead of holding it with both hands, she held it only with her left hand. Using her right hand, she took her Blaster handgun. Ex's eyes glowed green for a second... Ex: "You're not the only one who can fight in the air, you know!" Ex's feet seemed to glow for a second... and then she jumped to Ami's level and remained there. Flames were coming out of her shoes. Looks like Ex shoes are in truth thrusters! Ex: "Mechanical upgrades, anyone?" |

I was actually speaking about a second layer of skin that keeps my true form from coming into contact with this world's atmosphere. Also... do not espect my true form to be a horrific demon or something! The only differences between this form and my true one is that this one has yellow fur and that my eyes are blue. Also, the skin nullify my dark aura which means that unless one can sense dark power, people will think I'm normal... which is probably for the best." |

| Suddenly, Ex curled into a ball and spinned so fast that she had seemingly became a yellow sphere! Then, she sent herself smashing into the ground at an amazingly fast speed!... and by that, I mean a really, REALLY fast speed! Something like the speed of sound or something. The sheer power of the impact created a small shockwave... but Ex knew the shockwave wouldn't affect flying enemies and for ground enemies, it would be easy to jump over it. The purpose of the move was to avoid the Gemini Arrow, not attack anyone. Once Ex struck the ground, she uncurled, doing a backflip in the process. As she jumped, the second beam struck her former location (on the ground, not in the air). The explosion struck Ex and send her flying backward at an high speed! After a short flight, Ex spinned about and landed on her feet as if nothing had happened. Looks like Ex had absorbed most of the damage by letting herself fly unstead of trying to take the damage. Ex: "Hmm... so you are not weak... Maybe it's time to use stronger moves now..." |
