err... HELP:

Ever since the "host migrating machines", I've not been able to access Acmlm's board at home. I keep getting "under construction" and "Page Unavailable" errors. Yet, when I try the same address in school (where I am now) it works like a charm! I'm honestly a little confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Due to the fact that I am unable to check the site at home, feel free to email any help to:
jeffreymr(-at-)gmail.com

Again, any help is appreciated.

Posted on 02-16-05 08:15 PM, in Looking for *PD* GBA Multiboot Roms Link
I've recently acquired a GBA Movie Player (thanks to gameboy-advance.net) and have just discovered that I can play GBA Multiboot Roms on it. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site with *PD* (PUBLIC DOMAIN) roms that are multiboot-capable. I've tried a few like ThingPong and Tetanus on Drugs, but that's about it.
Any suggestions would be great!

I have been using http://board.acmlm.org. I'll try the forced refresh thing when I get home.
Thanks

Tried all three, and more Ctrl and/or Shift + F5 or Refresh combinations.

No luck...

It's kind of strange, because it was working fine before the down time.
Any more suggestions?

Well.... It's working!!!!!
I checked the hosts file on my computer, and apparently, I still had an older IP address there (heck, i don't even remember doing it!!). So I just cleared out all of the Info, and it worked!

Thanks to Trapster, Cellar Dweller, and all others!

*to mods: If this is in the wrong forum, feel free to re-locate it*

OPTION 1:
I'm looking for a Multiboot-Compatible GBA Rom (for GBA MP http://www.movieadvance.com ) that can over-write the save files on actual GBA Cartridges. I want to overwrite the SMA4 Saves with a downloaded SAV file (with E-Levels).
OPTION 2:
Again, I'm looking for a Multiboot-Compatible GBA Rom (Again, for GBA MP) that acts as an E-Reader Simulator (which opens the .bin card files), which can send the E-Levels through a Link Cable to SMA4?

Is this possible? Has it been done? Can it be done?

Or is it all wishful thinking?
Thanks!

hmm... darn.
I remember someone bringing up the topic of an E-Reader "sim" that could be written to a flash cart and used to send the card data to the SMA4 Cart, but that was only a hypothesis. (it was in a general SMA4 Game thread... if memory serves me correctly)

Oh well, I guess I'll have to stick with VBA to get this one to work. I don't exactly plan on buying a flash cart now.

Well, thanks anyway!

hmm... It probably could be an announcement. That way, it doesn't add to the number of stickies, but it also won't get lost under piles and piles of threads.

Email address + MSN Messenger Info has been PMed.
Here's hoping that it works!

Error Description:
I'm trying to copy some files (approx 50 MB) to my Compact Flash card, using my printer's photo-card drive. Approx. halfway through the file copy, it stops, and a few seconds later, I get two error messages:

data has been lost. This error may be caused by a fKitten Yiffer of
your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to
save this file elsewhere.
2. Cannot copy [filename]: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
And the computer locks up until I turn off the power for my printer.

Hardware: HP PSC 1350 (Picture Card Reader)
OS: Windows XP (w/ SP2)
Computer Specs: Pentium 4 2.80 GHz, 512 MB Ram (other details available if needed)

Jurassic Park 2
I can remember playing this at a friends house YEARS back!
By the way, the small picture really didn't increase the difficulty, it just makes the Jurassic Park logo in the top right harder to pick out!.

loadingNOW, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
This is AWESOME!!! I Can play just about all of the SMA4 E-Levels (Jap Included) on the actual cart!!! AWWESOOMMMME!!!!

If you are still working on this tool, I would suggest that you add a confirmation button before the writing begins. I was a bit worried that I would screw over the save file permenanly when I had to swap out the MP and the SMA4 Cart!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: ohh... i didn't say in the hardware section that it was a printer... sorry.
My printer (HP PSC 1350) has a built in memory card drive (with CF, Memory Stick, MMC/SD, Smart Media, and xD). So, disconnecting the printer is, well, out of the question!
Although it is primarily used to transfer photos, I have recently began using the card drive for my GBA Media Player (can i go THREE POSTS without mentioning it?!?) especially since I recieved my 512 MB CF card on friday. However, it's become kinda useless since I cannot copy files larger than 40 megs without getting an error message.

Whoa, a two month bump on Kles' part.
Yeah, Sonic 3D Blast was released on the Genesis, but it was also released on the Saturn with better graphics and music.

Is it a USB or parallel port printer? Have you used the card reader without any problems before, or is this the first time you've used it?

It's a USB Printer. I have used it before, but only for photos and the occasional MP3. It's the first time using it with a larger file, like a movie, etc.
I think I'll look into getting a standalone CF reader.

EDIT: Well, I think I eliminated the problem. I unplugged the printer from it's former USB Port (on a stand-alone card) and re-located it to another one (on-board). I tried copying the file over, and it worked without a hitch. Let's hope the error doesn't come back a-nagging!

*hugs Saitek P880*
I've had my gamepad for a few months now, and I haven't had a single problem with it yet. I don't use the programming software that often, but whenever I do, it seems to work fine. I can remember controlling Winamp using the gamepad, and it worked without a hitch.
*loads profiler software*
hmm.. I've got no problem making it control the mouse or keyboard.
HH, when you set up the software, did you install the "Saitek Magic Bus" ("Magic Keyboard" and "Magic Mouse")? Check the Device Manager, you should see a catagory labeled "Saitek Magic Bus". If it's not there, that would explain the difficulties you are having.

Also, if you are using the profiler with ZSNES, I'd recommend you'd STOP. I always get a delay. Try disabling the profiler all together and program the joystick the way you would with a keyboard in ZSNES. On my PC, this eliminates the delay.

*DIAL-UP WARNING* MAY TAKE IMMENSLY LONG TIME TO LOAD!
EDIT: Post layout removed.
EDIT2: Maybe not... I thought you could edit out the Header and the Signature... oh well... *converts images to URLs*
Some of you may already know about the upcoming release of the Sonic 2 Remix Project, entitled "Hedgehog Heaven". I have volunteered to do a version of the CD cover art. I've already posted a few previews in the OCRemix thread (http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25906), and have recieved pretty good reviews (except for the recent batch of bad apples).
I figured it'd be a good idea to make the previews available to a wider audience, so I decided to post them here to see what you guys think.
All previews are 500x500 (except for the back, 642x500), exactly half the resolution the final versions will be. I have decided against showing the Inside Cover and the inside of the "booklet" (for lack of a better word), as they contain info made available to me by Richter, the project organizer, that has not yet been publically released.
So, after all that, here's the goods:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/jeffswallpapers/boardfiles/s2hha/front.jpg - Front Cover
http://members.lycos.co.uk/jeffswallpapers/boardfiles/s2hha/back.jpg - Back Cover
http://members.lycos.co.uk/jeffswallpapers/boardfiles/s2hha/CD.jpg - Disc Label
And now, the one that's causing me the most grief, the inlay (for use with "Transparent Tray" jewel cases)
http://members.lycos.co.uk/jeffswallpapers/boardfiles/s2hha/inlay.jpg - Tray Inlay
I have no idea whatsoever to put on the inlay. I have recieved some good suggestions from the crowd at OC Remix, yet I'm not too sure how difficult they would be to realize.
Comments? Suggestions? Constructive Criticism?
EDIT3: Alright, I made an update to the inlay... PLEASE, SOMEONE, TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!

Holding SHIFT while using the line tool restricts it to 45 degree angle. Works with Polygon Tool and Pencil tool as well.

Holding SHIFT while using the Rectangle or Circle tool keeps the aspect ration 1:1.
