For those of you that are relatively new here that I don't really know, I have 7 SMW hacks to choose from at my site. I just want to make sure they aren't completely forgotten after the board's re-launch.

Why don't you continue Lost Levels? It was going really nicely...

I was enjoying making SMW the Lost Levels, but I cancelled it because some people thought the idea wasn't too great, which I agree. But don't worry, I never said I'm done making hacks...

You should try to fix that fireball's "splash" graphics. I believe they only work on castle sprite tilesets. Except for that, looks excellent! I remember I used the YI
bobombs in SMW+4, although I don't even remember seeing them in YI itself.

Just for some friendly advice, you should at least change around some of the palettes. Seriously, anything is better than the original SMW colors. I've also had the same problem as you do. I've made hacks and believed that they were a breeze to play, but then others thought different. This is because I knew every little trick necessary to get past the difficult parts, but others didn't. Now I just try to test my levels over and over again and think to myself, "If this wasn't my hack, would it be a pain in the ass to beat?" Just try to work these things out, you'll get it right once you try.

Very nice work...but a little suggestion...in the Forest Escape screens, that green part on the clouds in the BG looks awkward. Did you do this to make a forest-type effect? Maybe should should work with another BG for that, but that's just my opinion. Keep up the good work!

Hello once again! I am creating the 6th hack in my SMW+ series, titled SMW+6(obviously). Some new stuff that my hack will include:
1. New gfx, courtesy of the ExGFX Workshop, a very handy resource!
2. Some custom blocks, of course.
3. New overworld
4. Pirhana Plant bonus levels from World 7 in SMB3.

I hope that this will be a decent replacement to SMWLL. There is no demo yet and I do not know when it'll be released, but while you anxiously(yeah right) await, check out some screens here.

Ha, nah, I vow never to make anything as ridiculously difficult as SMW+3. This should be alright with the difficulty.

As for the overworld, only that isle is square. Maybe I could touch it up, I'll see.

Do you think that too many gfx from the ExGFX Workshop won't be good? Afterall, it's probably the best I can do graphic-wise.

I've always sucked with overworlds too. That's why I refrained from redesigning it in SMWLL! But then an unchanged overworld wasn't good enough, oh well. I hope I can pull off a halfway decent OW this time.

Yes, I dread doing the overworld. It is not as fun as designing the actual levels. That's where you get all the gameplay anyway, so I usually take the most time with levels instead.

That's why I love the ExGFX Workshop so much. I was inspired to start up SMW hacking again becuase of it.

I've also used the gfx that I used in SMW+4 and SMW+5, the new mushrooms and fire power vegetable, and the new coins. Occasionally, I like to do minor gfx changes myself. But my passion is in the level design, heh heh...

I would suggest making the levels longer...they are quite short (except the castle.) There are also a few minor glitches, such as the fireball "splash" sprite, and try using solid edges for the foreground in the first level (in the room with the key). Other than that, it's a nice hack, I especially like the new OW colors.

Hey, by the way, were you inspired by BMF's hack? I remember at the end of his demo, he wrote in a message box "A journey that'll take you through time and space." I noticed you have the same thing at the end of your demo.

Hmm...try an event less than the 70's for destroying the palace, if you have any available. I remember I also had some problems with OW events in the 70's. If worse comes to worse, you could just set the "No Entry If Level Is Passed" on, but it seems that you really want it to collapse.

I think it's very creative. Maybe the colors a too bright, but it looks good. Definitely adds a new spin to SMW.

I would recommend changing the palettes in the 2nd and 3rd shots. The background for the 5th screen is awkward . But my favorites are the last two, they look very good.

I wanted to fix the background colors, but when I tried to they interfered with the custom tileset of the level and gave the objects strange colors. Maybe I should just change the BG altogether.

Wow, I can't believe how advanced SMW hackers are. My favorite screen was from the castle (on your website). I wish I even had the slightestt idea to create such great gfx, but I'm too oblivious.
