Ah; what cable would I require to do this? (I have 1394/firewire (the same thing, I think ))

Okay, so, I have a Gainward GeForce FX 5200, and it has s-video in, but it isnt recognizing it as a device.

Me, because it isn't. Some of the module changes made after 98 -really- screwed up software compatability, though not to the point of not working, just fucking up a lot.

Windows is not going to become OS X any time soon. I'm sorry, but if you think that all there is to OS X is the eye candy, you REALLY need to go and educate yourself about OS X.

As for Windows being influenced by Mac OS (Classic OR X) well, that's been happening for years. Where do you think your Recycle Bin comes from? Mac OS has had a Trash can since the beginning of Mac OS -- back in 1984. Windows didn't have the Recycle Bin until Windows 95 was released...

Uh, a lot of OS X is eye candy. There's a lot of added functionality, but come on, anyone who's used it for more a few months can see that most of the production went into how it looked.

MS has been influenced by Apple in several ways; however, it's gone back and forth.

Hrm, I guess my hardware in my system is very well supported by Windows then? Maybe if you buy generic crap, you have an assload of problems. Buying name-brand products (Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire, AMD, nVidia, etc) must really cut down on stability and lag issues

And I'd use a Mac, but you know, I do more than just surf the web, check email, and use IM clients. I game.

You need a good self fucking. You obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about; games are commonly released on both the Mac and windows.

Yes, there's a mac WoW.

Anyone heard of AJAX? It's so awesome, even Google uses it. (for those who don't know, AJAX allows you to send/recieve POST/GET info without making a page refresh; digg uses it)

Comaptibility != Stability. And for the list of pre-2k/XP software compatible with XP, it's FAR greater than the list of pre-OS X software that's compatible with OS X. Trust me.

As for games... not the ones I play

# Windows XP/Me/2000/98 (NT and 95 NOT supported)

Note that MAC isn't even LISTED. This is the game I play most often, too.

Some games are released on the Mac, yes.

Way to use google.

Honestly, you really haven't made any anti-mac comments that anyone cares about so far. XD kapwnt

OSX has command is as powerful as UNIX since command line did not come in until OSX. So I'm not sure what you are eluding to as in power of the command line...

But yeah, UNIX cmd utilities >>>> Windows cmd utilities

Especially because it's a standard to have many different command line options (shell/bash, perl, etc.).

Indeed. If it was, there would be like, very few exploits, unless the board owners wouldn't use the inevitable patches.

You see, open source -IS- better. No matter what, bugs are going to come out. Sure, it's harder to reverse engineer something, but patches for open source software comes out before they're exploited. It's common for things such as wordpress that the people who find the exploits create patches themselves, and submit them to wordpress.

Anyway, I know the benefits of open source, but they only work, when there is a body of users who well, work on it.

It's still better than microsoft. =D You have no argument. Die now, and stop increasing your postcount through empty headed flames.

I must be the only person who thinks ErkDog isn't saying use LunarPages.

You have no clue what he's talking about.

Open source is not inherently better.

True, however, practically it certainly is.

The poll and conversation was meant to be limited to within the US for discussion of the minimum age limit, apologies. That choice was meant to imply that you were satisfied with the current differences that are out there between states and didn't think that they should all be the same. As for what you said above, I don't think getting screwed over is going to make someone mature any faster, I think it just makes it will just make someone who is an immature dickwad into an even bigger immature dickwad since he can tack on "LOL I GOT LAID AND YOU DIDN'T" into his arsenal of lameness.

Uh. You just said dickwad. You have no authority to call someone immature. D; Honestly, are you some 30 year old who was the only one in high school that didn't get laid? That's really what it sounds like. XD

knuck's argument makes a lot of sense right now.

I think no age, just... they should be like, 5 years apart, tops. I mean seriously, a seventeen year old convincing an eight year old to have sex with him is as much 'rape' as anything statuatory.

Wouldn't an Acmlm mart be great? It could work like SA-Mart (from Something Awful), where people put up threads of stuff they're selling, and stuff, and people bid and stuff, and then the stuff is sent out.

So it'd be like...

I start a thread, titled "World of Warcraft Discs + Account", and in it, I'd be like "I'm asking for $20 shipped, but that's negotiable." And people would be like "Sure, where can I paypal you?" And I'd be like "here."

Or they'd be like "$15 shipped?" And I'd be like "Okay."

Until this post, this thread was actually a fine discussion. gtfo <!-- Actually, I'm 19, you dickwad. -->

19 and still not laid, eh?

I hate to point out more obvious irony, but the discussion was fine until you said that people only get laid 18 or younger so they can brag about it. And they you said dickwad, in which case I replied, and you flamed me in html comments.

Mature. XD
