Welcome back from your ban, general grevious. I've seen your thread that you wanted to get banned. It's great that you learned your lesson, though. You actually got unbanned by accident, but if you read and follow the FAQs and be a great member here, then you deserve it.

1. Exactly which sprite?
2. The skeletons are actually ripped from the Legend of Zelda.

Here are some new screenshots of the second level of Part 3 of my SMB hack, The Super Mario Bros.' Super Adventures:

The lift in the last screenshot go around the block. How I got those lifts will be explained in the readme of the next demo. What do you think?

I really like the looks of this hack! This reminds me of peter_ac's recreation hacks, but this looks as great, anyway. You've done a great job so far. Keep it up.

Great job with the overworld and the GFX, MaxPower182! As suggested, you should try to put more stuff in Mario's house, like power-ups. Perhaps you can use Mario's house as a savepoint by this: whenever you go to Mario's house in the Overworld, it asks if you want to save. This looks like a wonderful hack. Keep it up!

They are random characters Acmlm typed in a Sega game, according to what I read.

Put the url of the picture between (img) and (/img), except the parantheses (the "(" and ")" ) are brackets ("[" and "]").

But deathtoall wants to know exactly which game. Only Acmlm knows. I don't know anyone else who would.

I don't think this hack exists, but I was thinking about a hack in which the Koopa Troopas are like the classic (SMB & SMB3) ones (stomp on them, wait long enough and they come back from their shells as Koopa Troopas). I did read of a way of making Koopas not pop out of their shells when stomped, but the shells aren't like the classic Koopas. Perhaps this can be done by using some of the Buzzy Beetle code for the Koopa Troopas, since SMW Buzzy Beetles are like their classic counterparts, which are like the classic Koopa Troopas. Maybe some people would like to use the classic Koopa Troopas for their hacks.

If you want to post screenshots, you can put the url of the picture between , or put the url of the picture between . To make a link to your hack, which should be in IPS form and uploaded in the internet, put the url of the hack between and , or if you want the link to not have the same words as the link, put the url of the hack between , the words of the link between > and <, and /a> after the <.

Wow, Dr. Mario, that looks really nice! Speaking of S.M.B. Remodeler, I might document more of what it can do besides sprite effect editing, tommorow or something like that.

Well, I don't really find it selfish to make single-person hacks if you're going to share some of your own hacks' features that were made by you for other people (which I plan to do with my hacks). But like other people say, most group hacks don't work out. One group hack that I know that may be working is a group SMB hack. I also know a Japanese SMB hacking group called SMB Software in which they make hacks that add features to/replaces features for SMB, and I'll assume that they do these things together. Maybe those can be influences. I may feel too shy or nervous about a group hack, though, but this does inspire me to think about making a group hack, or at least let other people do parts of my hacks at a certain time, like with DahrkDaiz's level-making competition for his SMB3DX hack.

EDIT: "Their features" is changed to "your hacks' features" to make more sense.

I think that when a ROM hacking group starts, they should make a mini hack first, so that the weight of the parts aren't as big. Then the group's next hacks after that get larger and larger, and maybe they can learn more if they follow that process. I believe that you've experienced working in a ROM hacking group, since I remembered you from the TEK Hacks forums.

Posted on 09-04-05 12:44 AM, in Allowing Guests To See Admins' Email Addresses In Case Someone Forgets His/Her Password Link
This is what inspired me to make this thread. Note the signature in the post (or profile).
As you can see, this user has re-registered (2nd time in fact) because he forgot his password. I noticed that the FAQ doesn't include anything on what to do when you forget your password, or even a link in the login page in case you forget your password, in which many other forums do. Sure you can just IM the admins, but what if the user who forgot his/her password doesn't want to IM and prefers email? Since guests cannot see the email of users, they have no choice but to IM, even if they prefer email. So I think that you should either mention anything about forgetting your password in the FAQ, put a "I forgot my password" link in the login page (I like this way the best), or let guests see the emails of admins, or 2-all of them. So I would like in the FAQ or login page to have something about forgetting your password. What do you think?

EDIT: Admin or mod, please change the tile to "Forgetting Your Password". Thanks.

It depends on exactly why he's in jail, in which we don't know why he is in the first place.

No, it's not.

He may have fixed it for his hack's ROM, but didn't post a screenshot showing the fix.

Anyway, this looks really cool, Ice Man! The HDMA effects adds more spice, quality, and life to the water levels. Keep it up! I would be glad to play the final product/hack/game.

When I first registered, I logged out by accident and I forgot my password. Luckily, my brother remembered my password, since I said my password out loud. If he hadn't, I would've got an AIM screenname and talk to one of the admins. And now that user had to re-reg AGAIN. Poor guy... Honestly, I don't think it would be hard to put a "I forgot my password" link in the login page. When I forgot my password, I panicked becaused I didn't know what to do since there's no "I forgot my password" link and/or any mention of forgetting it in the FAQ.

You can probably get flamed similarly with AIM or MSN, too. But I think just putting a "I forgot my password" link in the login page would be enough for in case you forgot your password. I would like to hear SMW_Freak's opinion on this, since he keeps forgetting his password and has to reregister because of that.

Actually, I think that if all rom hackers shared their skills, that could really help other rom hackers with their hacks. The bickering could be from some people being rude and extremely greedy about it and not giving them credit. I would like to share some of my skills with other people, but that's just my opinion.
