Sorry if this a bit off-topic, but does this mean you fixed your bullet problem? Maybe that's why it's not 100% complete.

Thanks! But I did use the flip leg trick to create the patches, though. I still don't know on how to control tile flipping with Mario sprites.

Maybe you should try to get rid of mikeyk's cannons? I'm not sure why you would need extra cannons for SMBDX, since its supposed to be like SMB, SMB hacks, and SMBTLL, when they don't use the doomship cannons from SMB3.... Or ask mikeyk.

My brother's laptop has a program called the Samsung Multimedia Studio. The clip player was able to take snapshots. He got it when he bought this Samsung MP3 player. I'm not sure how you can get it besides the MP3 player.

AP, that's what I've been asking all along, I want to get rid of the cannons. mikeyk hasn't been on this board for weeks, and he hasn't replied to any of my e-mails. Usually when somebody just disappears like that, it means that person could be dead.

Maybe he might be busy with personal life. This may be a crazy (and very confusing) idea, but maybe you can patch the mikeyk patch to a clean rom, compare that to the original rom with Transhexltion, and copy and paste the original rom data that is different from the mikeyk patch data to the hack, with trial and error. This may take a long time, though, depending on how many differences there are. I did something like this with a few of my patches when I used some other patch as a base.

EDIT: Mikeyk already posted while I was making this post...

Maybe you can use Lunar Address to convert "SNES addresses", but I don't know if Lunar Address converts addresses to ROM file addresses.

Sorry if this is in the right forum. I'm not sure where I should put this, so feel free to move this thread to the correct forum, if this isn't.
Anyway, when I first opened SMB2j (FDS file) in YY-CHR, I noticed something really strange:

Notice anything strange here? Besides the poor image, look at the last tiles below. It looks like unused tiles for ground blocks, and some cactus.
I made pics on what they might have looked like in the game:
- Cactus - Beta Ground Block 1 - Beta Ground Block 2
It seems that there is no TSA data of the cactus, or the strange ground blocks. I believe that only the graphics remain in the FDS file.

I also found something else. Chek out this Japanese ad for the original. The level on the top-right corner seems to be something not found in the original.
Here's a close-up of the beta level:

I'm guessing this level was made before Nintendo used the orange mushroom platforms or before they used recycled levels.

And here is my recreation of it:

What do you think of this? I think this is pretty interesting.

Very interesting. I put that Cactus into my SMB2j SMW tileset without even realizing it was unused. I even updated it a little by adding "thorns" Beta ground 1 looks like the SMB1 ground without that odd "boarder" surrounding it. EDIT: I checked my ExGFX again, and I also put that tile in there! Beta ground 2 looks like the regular ground of SMB2j.

EDIT 3: And it turns out that I have all three beta tiles in that ExGFX file. Incidently, the way I set it up may very well be what they were planning to do with it (placing it underneath the first set of ground tiles).

As for that image, you can see that the world is X-1. And treetop levels are on X-3 in the original! Perhaps there was going to be a treetop world, and underground world, a water world, etc. instead of having a bunch of land worlds with some of those thrown around with castle levels at every X-4

I remember that SMB2j SMW tileset. I noticed the beta tiles, too! Hmm, the image's world could be x-1. I didn't really look carefully since it was so blurry. Treetop worlds do sound interesting.... I wonder what would happen if we somehow find a beta ROM, but I extrremely doubt we can.

You may have got the very first version of the demo, in which I forgot to lock Part 2 with a password. If anyone haven't reached Part 2 yet and got the first version, redownload it so Part 2 is password lockdd.

Happy birthday, Acmlm! Thank you for providing us this great board for all of us. Thanks for including the ROM Hacking and SMW Hacking forums in your board, in which some of us can get help for ROM hacking and enjoy other's ROM hacks. Thanks for creating our ROM Hack Domain, in which your and other's hacks inspired me to ROM hack. I hope you have a great day today!

I guess the conclusion of the weird colors for users was that Yiffy Kitten turned to the dark side and abused phpMyAdmin to create this weird female user madness. Unless Yiffy Kitten's password was stolen.

EDIT: Thanks for finding this out and helping us understand what happened. I wondered why almost everybody was pink....

EDIT 2: Ignore the striked text. It was a misunderstanding of mine upon reading this thread.

In that case, you need to fix Lakitu's cloud fast, because...well, that's a pretty bad glitch there. I hope this is a great hack, peter_ac. I also hope you're trying to fix Lakitu's cloud right now.

I have a few suggestions for next updates of SMBDX:
1. Try to make the Koopas like the ones in SMB/SMB3. As in when the Koopas are stomped on, they come back from their shells like in SMB/SMB3. Maybe you could do this by making the Koopas like Buzzy Beetles, except they use Koopa graphics and can be killed by fireballs (and the red ones turn back when they reach an end).
2. Change the stopped Koopa shells (and probably Buzzy Beetle shells) to be like in SMB3.

Besides those things and Lakitu's cloud, this is a true masterpiece! You did a really great job with this! I'll play more of the hack later.
