Is it possible to make a block that displays a message when you walk through. It would be like a telepathic message. Kind of how you it works in the intro. It would have to be activated only once in the level though, so I'm not sure if it's possible. | |||

Mikey, you should do what Fu did in Demo world and not allow Yoshi in the pipes. Or you can make an entrance tile that doesn't let Yoshi in the Pipes so you can do it for some. | |||

I have a question about SM, and I was wondering if this happened to anyone else. When I play SM for a while (10 minutes or more) and I want to exit to the normal screen. Game Mode Options Edit/Sunc Songs That area, the game freezes up and it takes 3-4 minutes to restore itself. Does this happen to anyone else or do Dells just suck ass? |

I'm an average gamer. My talent is as good as the average dateless videogamer. So I can judge whether or not a level is too hard. And I am very creative, so if there's graphics, I can be a good critic. I've never been chosen to test levels, so if I were given an oppurtunity, I would be grateful. |

Well, I finally AA'd Maxx Unlimited! BUT tonight, someone brought me to shame. We were playing Legend road, and got to legend of max. and he beat me by about 400 points. A man who put me in my place right when I was talking about my DDR Tournie Hey! live and lose. |

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THAT SCORE AT ALL!! It's an 11. I just WISH SO MUCH he would release his smb3 pipe stuff. MikeyK's is good, because he himself said it has some flaws, plus he has small Mario pipes. |

It's good... but Iggy if you remove some platform, Mario will fall through it but not Iggy. Any ideas? You should use all the little ASM stuff people found with it. (edited by Spel werdz rite on 08-20-05 02:23 AM) |

Does anyone remember SMB3C for NES by X-4000 (I think it was)? well I'm trying to replicate it into Super Mario All-Stars (along with other challenge hacks), and I want to find the maker of smb3c for his constent and permission before I publicy release. He kind of got lost with cg games. Well that's pretty much all I needed from you guys, if anyone knows where he is, give me a link or an email adress. a little on my hack Super Mario All-Stars Challenge Bowser and Wart are really mad at Mario and his pals, so they thought to exact ultimate revenge on them. Most levels will look familiar to the similar one and I'm totally copying smb3c, which is why I want to find the maker, and maybe smbc2. WORK No editor exists for this game (except for smb3 with m3I but I can't use it) so I'm a hex man. I've been thinking about adding a Lakitu that throws Hammer Bros. and Fire Spitting Hammer Bros. for smb3 (I'll mention the offsets later) but I'm not sure. I'll probably release an individual hack of this. Maybe a bit of graphic hacking and a little more ASM but that's it. PROGRESS Super Mario Bros. up to W4-4 are done in smb and levels totally orignal. Made Pirhana Plants in W1-1 Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels Haven't started, still looking for offsets (someone want to help me) Trying to cahnge some pirhana plant, hammer bros. stuff, and all those other cool things with smbll. Super Mario Bros. 2 Haven't started. Super Mario Bros. 3 Up to W2-2 and bonus leves done. All overworlds finished. That's all for now. I will NOT release a demo. Mainly because my site is down. Yeah, That's pretty much what I've been doing. But it still isn't easy. I have been having troubles with smb3 because of a few graphics problems. But I think I will just forget about it and go ahead. If someone can help me with one more thing... I CANNOT FIND THE LOST LEVELS OFFSETS!! All I found was level order and pointers. example:I can make WD-4 into W1-1. Anyways, someone want to share the fun of finding offsets? I'm looking for level and enemy offsets, I want to change when the hammer bros. walk (in smb too), and I want to determine when Pirhana Plants turn red. Insect, if you want to make smb2, I'd like your help. One more thing, If I change the sprite lakitu throws, what would you like it to be? (dont say warkitu) |

I would like/NEED a block that is the opposite of the normal ! blocks. It starts out filled and it turns dotted after the switch palace. I think it's pretty easy to make, but my ASM powers are limited. If someone really helpful will do this, can you make it for all 4 blocks. Also, I really need a ! block with Fire flowers and one with a star. Also, I could use the opposite, solid to dotted. Thank you to anyone who does this, there name will be in the credits of my hack. |

The subject is rather two-faced, on one hand we do need to band together to learn as much about roms for a great hack. But on the other side, if we shared all the cool info the truly dedicated hackers found, our hacks would be mundane and rather ununique. The best hacks stick out because no one else can do them. Dark Daihz and his Mario Adventure hack are famous because of his ASM knowledge and the fact that no one else has the little touches on his game. Or FuSoYa's smb3 style pipes and other hack stuff. Mikeyk has come close with the pipes, but he's still working on it and hooray for him. Besides, imagine if DD shared his Warkitu or Fu told everyone how the path's worked in Boo's world. We could share specific stuff though, example: DD could tell us the offsets for what sprite lakitu throws, or when bob-ombs explode. yet even with this stuff you can't make his Warkitu (Trust me, I know! ) which still makes his stuff original. But it will help our knowledge for other stuff that we want. Find a happy medium of "sharing." One more thing, HyperHacker, how can you call FuSoYa a "stuck up hacker?" You're calling the one man who put infinite dedication into Lunar Magic and graphics decompression selfish. |
