Not wearing green, and I doubt many others will around here, either. St. Patrick's isn't a big thing here in Norway. I did have a few beers yesterday, though, one of which was a Guinness. Oh, and I smsed my friend with Irish heritage at 4am yesterday or something, he was a wee bit mad.

Sorry for adressing an issue that you all kind of buried in this debate, but I've been away, so I've had no chance to speak before now:

Why are young homosexuals overrepresented on suicide statistics? Because they have to face harrassment and abuse in their day-to-day life. How do you battle this? Not by not talking about homosexuality in school, as this will make homosexuality out to be something strange, different, and thus dangerous, and definitely not by teaching that homosexuality is something wrong and sinfull in the eyes of God, but rather by teaching tolerance and openness, and making kids learn that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, people will need to be educated before they can be open and tolerant about something, and openness and tolerance is needed to have equality.

Oh, and is homosexuality really an affront to God? The dogma of most churches teaches that only thos things in the old testament that were confirmed by Jesus Christ are rules for Christians to live by. Jesus never said anything about homosexuality being a sin, he did, however, preach tolerance and love of all of mankind.

To throw all your money away on stupid stuff you don't need, send txt idiot to Jamba now!

God, you simply want to punch someone when the Jamba-commercials come on... Only problem is, they're on so often you'd end up punching everyone you know in the end.

People say that this happens a lot simply because they only remember when it actually does happen. Why would you go around remembering all those times you've had a weird thought and then nothing happened afterwards?

But it doesn't come true half the time. It only comes true a very small fraction of the time. The rest we pay no attention to, because we have no need to pay attention to it. Thus it feels like it comes true a lot.

I may be a hoopy frood, 'cept when I'm on the Janx Spirit, that is.

However, for this conversation to keep going, I needs to reread the books, because I realize I quite simply don't remember much any more.

I have yesterday's events playing in my mind, with Supergrass' "What Went Wrong (In Your Head)" as the background music.

Let's see.

When showering this morning, I realized I had three really long scratches up the side of my back (where the fuck did they come from?)
I do recall dancing yesterday (do any of you know how sloshed I have to be to even consider going near a dance floor? Rythmic sense + me = no)
I have a breath that could probably kill a medium-sized dog.
I have an extreme urge not to meet anyone I met yesterday for a long time.
Other than that, I can't really say I remember too much. I did post here I see, not too much, I hope.

Bars shouldn't be allowed to sell beer for 15kr each. It makes people get sloshed like this. It's just too cheap.

(This, young children, is what the grown-ups call "drunken nervousness", you'll realize what it is when you have symptoms such as complete black holes in the envents that transpired the day before, a body that simply won't do anything you ask it to do, and friends that laugh at you long and hard the next time you see them. The first time you have it, you'll say to yourself "okay, I won't drink that much next time". The next time you have it, you'll either say the same thing, or you'll realize it's absolutely impossible to control how much you've had while you're drunk, and you'll say to yourself "okay, I won't drink ever again". The "okay, I won't drink ever again"-phase will last for a couple of times with "drunken nervousness", before you finally come to the "okay, there's no helping it. Oh well"-phase. If anything comes after this, I don't know.

They're talking about expelling Inter from European competitions for a year. Should be a reasonable enough punishment.

Look up the Heysel Stadium Disaster for an explanation on the Juve/Liverpool extra security. As you can see, that time the clubs were penalized for the fans' actions, as well. I think the general idea is that by punishing the clubs, fans will think twice before starting trouble (although, many times, trouble is started by hooligans who are only present to make trouble, not caring about the clubs)

Well, we all know AC/DC and Kylie Minogue, of course (the former being good, the latter being, ehm, not-so-good).

I've heard Midnight Oil, but can't say I know much about them past a few of their songs. That one song, "Beds are Burning", is really cool, though.

Nick Cave is famous, of course. He's also had some ok songs.

I really like Jet, and I bought the "Get Born" album. I know they've been critizised of borrowing a little too much from other artists, but, let's face it, everyone borrows.

Natalie Imbruglia, another boring pop-artist.

INXS is alright, I guess.

Other than that, can't say there's much Aussie that comes to mind.

I saw an interview with Per Ravn Omdal, the Vice President of the UEFA, on TV today. He was talking about all the things that had been done to prevent stadium troubles, and what they were planning on doing to secure stadiums even more. He described incidents such as that during the Inter vs. AC match and the one where Anders Frisk started bleeding after having been hit with an object thrown from a stand during an AS Roma match as "isolated happenings", and that he was sure we would see less of this in the future. "Football will win," he promised.

Rewind, one year, to the quarter finals...

Chelsea's done well to get this far... but they're 0-3 against Arsenal this year and I can't see that changing. :\ Talk about a free pass to the finals.
