If Mao Zedong did the macarena I'd be more scared from the fact that I was watching a guy who'd been dead for nearly 30 years dancing, rather than fearing an invasion from China.

The thing that has - naturally - been the top story in the Norwegian media the last days is a couple that went on stage during a concert at the Norwegian Quart Festival and had sex. The two did it to save the rainforest. They normally shoot porno-movies which they then sell, the money they earn is given to charity to help the rainforest (as of now, no environmentalist-organization has yet to accept the more than $10,000 they collected, because of the way the money was collected). The stunt, although brave, is illegal in Norway, where having sex in public is illegal (as with most other places, I'd guess). Anyway, the discussion that has been raging in Norway the past days are wheter these kinds of environmentalist stunts going too far, or if it is ok to do these things to save the rainforest?

(By the way, Kristoffer Schau, the lead-singer of the band The Cumshots, who were performing during the sex-act, is known for notorious stunts like these (though this is most likely his most shocking performance so far). A few years ago, at the same festival, he entertained the audiences wearing nothing, but a fish as a codpiece (pun intended).

My journey through the 90's grunge movement is not over yet, as I'm again back at Bush, this time Head Full Of Ghosts. Mr. Rossdale has a great voice, and the band plays a beautiful tune. I need to buy more Bush, Sixteen Stone definitely ain't enough. I'll probably go for Golden State next.

Well, as I was typing that, Media Player switched to something definitely not 90's grunge, but still 90's rock. Chumbawamba - Tubthumping. It's a song which really gets you in a fighting spirit, which really isn't good, since I should be going to bed (it's currently 02:46 am here).

From what I understand, the robots in this movie breaks the 3 laws of robotics, which is just plain silly, since Asimov himself was the one who made those three laws. I might still see it, but I think the whole thing seems a bit odd.

I've applied for two different lines (though they are related to each other). I'll either be studying International Development at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) or Political Science at the University of Troms

This is a real toughie. I'll go with RHCP, though, if not for their great music, then for what Flea did for bass guitars. He deserves some honor.

Gah, such a shame. Bush is such a great band. Oh well, I guess the Stones are a bit too big for them.

Steadman - Life of Leisure

The fact that Steadman still hasn't had a big breakthrough is beyond me. Their sound is definitely radio-friendly, catchy, and all-around beautiful. Of course, they don't have a big label to back them up, which may have something to do with their lack of success. Nonetheless, they are an all-round great band. The song, though, Life of Leisure, allthough not among their greatest, is still a good song.

Bah, how can you disregard Flea as one of the greatest bassist of all time, and have a bass guitar in your layout?

Besides, Pink Floyd, though a good band, are not all that fantastic.

Mind you guys, this is not the first time they've been fucking for the forest. They actually have a website, www.fuckforforest.com (not suitable for children, I hear. I haven't actually been to it), which sells pornographic movies to the benefit of the rainforest. Apparantly, after their little stunt, they have sold tons of more videos, and made about $50,000 in a few days, I think.

Speaking of public sex, I apparantly missed a "show" yesterday. According to today's newspapers, a 37-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman had sex outside an unnamed bar in Halden (which is where I live) at 2:18 am yesterday night. I was out with some friends yesterday, but we went home at around 1:45 am. Now, Halden is not a very big town, and nearly all the bars are centered around the town square, so if I still had been out at that time, I'd probably have actually seen this happen. This country is falling apart, though, people are having sex everywhere, apparantly.

They got caught and were fined 8 000 kr.

See, there's a difference, though. In a city like Stockholm, with more than a million citizens, you're bound to find a couple of freaks who have sex in public. When it happens in a town with only 27 000 citizens, though, it's a little more alarming.

As if you're allowed to have sex on the sidewalk in the United States, Cymoro. I highly doubt that.

And yeah, I'm fairly sure you're allowed to have sex in cars here.

Bah. *sticks nose up* n00b! I've been here for 3 years and 3 months. So *thwmpth*

Anyway, seriously. Congrats, Cymoro! It's been 3 great years, no? I'm sure you're staying with us for 3 more, too, eh? Now, I'll just bring in the beer, and we can start the party...
