I never said I could "edit out the statues". I merely stated I can edit out the plot of that part, and turn it into something else. Learn to read. And just so you will know, nobody is perfect. Even Christians. EVERYBODY does something wrong from time to time. I never said I could edit out everything, either. As I said, learn to read.

ff3ed-2 does NOT work. It sends an error report immediately after I load the ROM (and it says the error report is the program itself, not the ROM). Where is another text editor?

Look...I won't explode this time. I feel comfortable with editting all that stuff out, and I feel it is still FF6. Just because I want to edit one line dosen't mean it isn't going to be FF6. So please tell me.

Lying IS a Ten Commandment, you are right. But I was simply stating that I only wanted to edit out that one line. And actually, I just editted the plot a little bit. All I did (really) was replace a thing like the Espers going into the "Spirit World" into something like "a peaceful place". So I haven't really changed much of the plot. But anyways, how does one go about editting in-battle text? This is the LAST line I want to change.

No, questions end with a question mark, it was a statement, or better yet a comment.

Ted Woolsey translated FF6, he was forced to cut the script down to fit back in the original alloted space, and then forced to censor many things out of that script because of Nintendo's standards at the time. He also had to deal with censoring graphics that no one with the exception of people like you would find offensive, and then QA people who demanded changes for no good reason (They hated the name "Tina" for no apparent reason). In the end none of it is Woolsey's fault, he just takes the blame because it's his name under "TRANSLATOR" in the credits.

I'd hate to see what you'd think of Sky Render's retranslation...
