Ok, here's the deal: My brother wants to hack FF3 (A.K.A: FF6) and remove all the evil things out of it, while I want to edit CT into a different game, story, etc.


So, what programs do we use for each game? I want to edit CTs levels and everything, while my brother just wants to remove some sprites (and replace them with different things). Thanks in advance!

I downloaded the Chrono Trigger one, the one that lets you edit all enemies. Well, when I run the CTENED.EXE file, I get a black box with this error:

Bad file name or number in module CTENED at address 054E:0047

Hit any key to return to system

The "trio thing" I'm referring to is the guys you have to fight AFTER the devil-looking guy. The duo thing I'm referring to is the two girls AFTER the trio. Then after the duo girls comes Kefka, which is the final battle. Get what I am saying?

What exactly is a hex editor and where can I get one? And I have both of the programs you metioned. As I said before, I can edit the plot text with all that filth, and create it into something else.
