I just use keyboard when my gamepads don't work. Here's how i map it in ZSNES

A->X
B->Z
X->S
Y->A
L->Q
R->E

Select->right shift
Start->Enter

and for fast forward
+ Numpad

In ePSXe

circle->X
X->Z
square->A
triangle->S

Select->right shift
Start->Enter

L1->Q
R1->E
L2->1
R2->3

Posted on 08-11-05 10:03 PM, in Is there any autofire utility for gamepads? Link
I've been searching, but the only thing i found was an autofire utility for the keyboard. In need it, because my gamepad autofire is SOOO SLOW.. . I've another gamepad that has a fast autofire, but it has only 8 buttons, and the sluggy one has 10 (the typical PCTRONIX/COBRA/GENIUS (too many clones))

Here are some pics
it's like this gamepad but...

...with this button configuration (the same turbo, slow, clear buttons)

As for text hacking, you can use the tools posted on "Useful tools for hacking ROMs.". But for that you must open files individually, because Thingy32 doesn't support huge files. More than that, if you could edit some text, you must be sure to make the iso the same as it was created. You must use the following tools:
- CDGEN (to create a ccs file by dragging the files on it)
- CCS2CTI (converts from ccs to cti)
- BUILDCD (make a buildcd mage from a cti)
- STRIPISO (makes an iso MODE 2/xa from a buildcd image)

Also, you need Isobuster. In isobuster, there'll be info about the LBA's of the files, so you must make the necessary changes in cdgen according to IsoBuster.

PS: Try starting with Spyro 2, it's an easy text "hackable" iso, because it stores the text as ASCII standard (except some special chars), so you can use a standard hex editor (try using xvi32)

I've some cd's (cdrw's to be more precise) that have holes in the surface (i.e, it can be seen through the plastic, not actually that you could pass a needle through it). Someone told me that painting the holes would make that sectors readable again. In fact, it worked, but i don't know if this works for cdr's too (I don't wanna waste a cd just for testing, because i'm running out of them)

The same as everybody. I only like pizza as leftovers. I see that nobody has mentioned artichokes. The leftovers of these get darker as the days pass through, but heated in the microweave and eating them with mayo tastes good though specially the core (BTW...Has anybody ate these? I hope I'm not talking chinese or sth. )

I also have to have one arm under my pillow.

The same as Tamarin Calanis. I can't sleep before 11 AM. But i can wake up at 6:30 without problems.

I also tend to switch sides way to often. Specially if the night is too warm

Now in the daytime:

the same thing that happens to LizardKing happens to me. If I'm too excited that something has been done well I also can't keep my feet still. Moreover: if something that i couldn't make work for a long time has worked, i tend to stand up and walk until the "sensation of success" gets past and then continue working (I must be a very pesimistic and unlucky guy for that )

I also crack my toes, and sometimes my fingers.

And I like when others see me playing imbnes, specially if some nes games are hacks made by members of this board

I think they made the right decision, Maybe taking the cat to a veterinarian would have taken more time. Now they'll have to buy a special milk to substitute the mother's milk. Normal milk makes them vomit if i'm correct. And for the amount of information, is normal to not have enough, since bad news always sell more than good news

Posted on 08-17-05 11:35 PM, in Where does FCEU store its game save files ? Link
The save file must have the same name as the rom, minus the extension. When you play a battery-backup enabled game, the sav file is stored with the following name:
"rom file name"."some weird code".sav

Changin or deleting the code from the file name doesn't do anything and the rom still loads the saved info OK. And opening the rom and closing it inmediately doens't di anything to the saved info also.

The sav files for FCEU (in my case) are stored in the directory "sav" of the fceu directory. Try putting the sav file in this folder (create it if necessary) with the "same name of the rom".sav

Pretty good hack. I was very amused with the new enemies. Good level design too . I had to wait a lot for it to be downloaded. The bandwidth in this lab sucks, but it was worth the time

Pretty much the same as me. When it comes to talking with girls, i'm afraid of saying stupid things or annoy them. (Or worse, getting rejected )

I'm Latin (from Chile, next to Argentina if someone's lost), Middle Class overcome. Started making gfx hacks just for fun w/Nesticle. Then i came until recently to hack text (Mostly for translating, most recent are psx iso hacks, w/Boot Logo changed also). No level hacks yet.

Is there someone else that talks spanish? (¿Alguien mas habla español? )

On the other hand you should have asked first befor hacking!

At most, it would have been a temporary ban, but not deleting someone's site, even more if there are thing stored on there unrelated to zbattle (such as rom hacks and such). He should have asked ONLY for the removal of the link from your tripod page, NOT the whole site.

Here in Chile we have a Spider called "The spider of the corners" (In spanish: "la araña del rincon"). Its scientyfic name is "Loxosceles laeta". Its bite can kill a person if the poison reaches the blood or the kidneys, and it lives in 9 of 10 houses in here.
There's a site i read saying it's located also in Eastern Los Angeles County (Anybody lives there? ). More info here and here. I don't wanna make an alarm of if, because this spider is pretty coward, and it hides to shady areas. To avoid them, just make noise, turn on the light and keep the rooms and other areas of your house clean.
