| I ran QB on my XP computer, and I don't have that problem at all. Did you try tapping shift, or holding it down? Your shift key isn't stuck in reality, probably. |

My locker is number 1221, which is a pallendrome. Usually, 1337 is associated with idiots online, you know.  leet is a very uncool word now.Anyway, my locker is RIGHT outside of the classroom that I go to on both A days and B days, which is CS2, and Eagle Productions (movie making class). Our lockers are cool, but the stairwell is very close to my locker, and there's a bit of traffic, and the asshole people get pissed when you go to your locker when they're trying to go somewhere (fuck you people like that, it's my locker, why the fuck are you walking so close to the lockers anyway?) |

| Ahh... 32k x 8. I had that same confusion. Ok. The 32k of that means 32 KILOBYTES. The x8 is there because that tells you how many bits the chip is (in this case it's 8). To get the number of BITS that are on the chip, you take the 32k and multiply it by 8. See? Simple. Now, when you're reading the pinouts, when you see something like WE (write enable) with a symbol next to it (like /WE or WE#), that means the signal is reversed. You know that 0 means false and 1 means true, right? Logically, WE held low (0) means "Write enable is disabled", right? When the symbol is there, it's reversed, so WE held low (0) means "Write enable is enabled". As for everything else you said, I cannot help with that, because I'm a NES guy, not GB (yet), though I did open a gb cart once. They're WEIRD!  It's like the ram, rom, and mapper are all in a single chip. |

| What labels? I've never seen those overlined labels... If it's WE CE OE, that kind, then I'd assume so. (that it means the signal is reversed that is) kb (with the lowercase b) means kilobit, and kB (uppercase B) means kiloBYTE. And since 8 x 8 is 64, and there's a kB (uppercase B) after the only 64 there, I'd assume it means 64kilobytes. The number of BITs will ALWAYS be much bigger than the number of BYTES. 120ns means it takes 120 nanoseconds for the data to show up on the data lines. On an NES, this *HAS* to be 250ns or less for CPU devices (like PRG ROM, and SRAM), and 175ns or less for PPU devices (like CHR ROM/RAM). On a gameboy, I have no idea. And I opened Motocross Maniacs, and Tetris (I think). I know for sure Motocross Maniacs has one chip. If you have gameboy dev docs handy, definately check out what the slowest ns response time can be before it's too slow for the processer. Also, if the rom soldering requires you to bend some pins and stuff, I'd recommend buying some sockets. Do the bending and wiring and stuff on the socket, and you only need to solder the socket in there once, and you can replace the rom as MUCH as you could possibly want to. (Just be careful when removing the roms from the socket you soldered in, apply equal pressure to both sides when taking the rom out of your socket. You don't want to break the socket, or break up the solder that holds the socket in. )(edited by Drag on 09-20-04 06:11 PM) |

| Well GUESS WHAT I have a MOTOROLA V400, and GUESS WHAT IT HAS Color Display 3 types of ringtones: Crappy itune (monophonic), midi (polyphonic), and mp3 A camera Text Messaging Multimedia Messaging Wireless Internet GPRS Games (One of them is Prince of Persia )And if I want a picture of a dragon to grace my phone's screen, by golly, that's what'll happen! But then I'm a tech dude, and tech dudes need big tech phones. I don't care if you all hate my phone, I like it, so booya. But yeah, if someone other than a tech dude has this huge tech phone that all they'll do is goof around on it, yeah, that's bad. And just like Jesper said, no one's forcing you to get a computer phone. I elected to get one, because it had stuff I liked. If you want a phone that can do nothing but make calls and send/recieve text messages, then get one for goodness sake. Sheesh, no need to attack the super phones. Attack the people who can't use the super phones without being obsessively whacko instead. And there's no need to bash cell phones in general, because they're useful. It's great to be able to call people when there isn't a yucky ooky you-don't-know-where-it's-been payphone around nearby. And besides, I don't like carrying a lot of quarters to use in a payphone when I can just use my cell phone, but yeah, who the hell leaves their cell phone on during class?Better yet, who's the dumbass who's CALLING during class?? |

| SNES TMNT (as well as almost the ENTIRE TMNT series of games) is your typical walk-around-and-beat-the-crap-out-of-everyone-who-keeps-getting-in-your-way arcade style game. Nice job on the layout JD, I recognized that almost immediately. A fond memory of the game I had was that I used to sometimes do nothing but go to the sound test in options menu, so I could listen to the music, and my brothers didn't like that, so they said "don't do that too much, you'll break the game", and I believed them for a while.  |

| No roms have 1ns access time, because that is near instantaneous. ns means nanosecond, and those are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY small units of measurements. I'm assuming 120ns is good for gameboy, just like it's good for nes. I really don't know what the acceptable range is though. That's why I said look through some gbdev docs. 120ns is probably fine thoughHey, if you get the wrong kind, just get another one, these things are really cheap. (it's waiting for them to come in the mail that's a pain in the ass. ) |

It's coming along very well, in my opinion.  The only thing is, yeah, wait for him to finish, because I did find a bug in it previously (dealing with locking/unlocking ram bytes, sometimes the program would freeze when unlocking a bunch at a time, and it's fixed now, hopefully), so yeah, don't rush him. He's coding a nametable viewer at the moment, and it's kinda laggy (for me at least), but it works. Laggy like, it bogs the whole program down. But bbit said he'd check it out. But yeah, just wait until he releases it, it'll be optimum working order then. |

| You're wrong. Baby Mario is a pirate NES game, and it's just a conversion of BIOMIRACLE (an FDS-only game) from disk to cart, with only an edited titlescreen. Actually, I'm not sure if they named it Baby Mario or Mario Baby. One of those. Was the game any good, or do you not remember? |

| I don't lucid dream often (lucid dreaming is the type where you know you're dreaming, and can control everything). I have like, half lucidity; I know I'm dreaming, but I don't get lucid. I just go something like "This is MY dream, so I SHOULD be able to escape this danger!" or corny stuff like that. It's weird. Whenever I DO lucid dream, I try to remember to do dragon stuff. |
