I wouldn't have a fire forest - that's really bad for the environment, and a lot of people are against it . .

Anyway . .

You could have an ice forest as your secondary it wouldn't clash, it'd be the opposite - or how about a cave full of lava, but there are a bunch of tree roots and stuff, showing you're under the forest - or how about something like time-traveling pipes, where, theres a big fire pit in the way, and you use the pipe, to go back before the forest was on fire so you can walk across.

I know, these suck, but they're the best I can think of

This has never happened to me before - I set it so that there is no background (layer 2 editing) but when I go into my hack, the whole background is covered in garbage. How do you fix this? It just happened out of no where . .kinda weird.

Ahh, I just figured it out, the FG2 on Super GFX bypass wasn't right for some reason - it was at FFF, which seemed really screwed up. Well, mod can close this now, it's fixed.

To add objects, click on the piece of ground two boxes left of the Koopa shell, then go into Editors -> add objecs.

To add sprites, click on the koopa shell, go to Editors -> add sprites.

The only way to get the original map back is to open a new ROM in LM.

Hope this helped.

Sounds interesting, but you'd better do what fabio said, and make the levels really long and tough - not IMPOSSIBLY tough, just very tough.

I couldn't stop laughing at this for some reason

It could be a good idea, just pinch of the storyline a bit like the above posts said - maybe like "Bowser is god and he's taken over the Mushroom Kingdom" and put plot twists or something. I used the Paper Mario 2 storyline for my hack, but I'm starting to change it around a bit. If you're using a basic idea, you could make it quite interesting with a few OW events changing, and such. Just be creative.

In Wendy's Castle and Valley Fortress, there are those large grey spikes. The ones at the beginning stay up for a few second, then fall, the ones in the middle fall as soon as they rise, and the ones at the end fall and rise very fast. How do you adjust the speed of these?

Hmm, didn't work for me. I tried layer 2 smash 1 - 2 -3, but the only sign of progress I got is that 1 makes them go verrrry sloooow. I dunno, I'll keep looking though.

Erm, do you mean the NES? If so, there was a pirated version of SMW for it, but it's pretty crappy - worse graphics, plus it's missing a few of the levels from the original SMW.

If that's what you mean, then yes, but I've never heard of Ninteno Super System.

Ah you're right Bio, as soon as the spikes pass a certain screen, they start flying down at top speed. Looks like it's fixed now thanks again

Huh? That didn't happen when I tested it. That's the first level - one sec, Ill look at it. .

I played it, it worked fine for me - how many times did you try it? If you only tried once, it might just be a glitch.

Also, which emulator do you use?

Ah ok, that might be what you have to do, try it 3 or 4 times, if it still doesn't work, I don't really know what to tell you.

You use ZSNES? Hmm, same as me . . ah well, try it and let me know

How exactly does it freeze - does the game just go black, music stop? Or does it go to the endless bonus level?

In all layer 2 caves, when you go to edit layer two, the ground turns yellow and the lava turns purple, and pink, and all ugly. How do you change the palette of layer 2 so that the lava is normal colour? Thanks in advance.

I don't really know whats wrong, but I have a few suggestions I doubt will help, but:

a) Have you tried deleting the coin and remaking in it a different location?
b) Have you went into the Map16 editor, got the coin, and repasted it on a different Map16 tile?

These are just possible suggestions, I've never heard of that problem, but you could try those.

HH: Yeah, I want to get a space BG, there is already one in the game, but for some reason, it doesn't want to work with my FG, it always gets scrambled just a bit - but it still looks bad.

fabio: Yeah, I worked a lot on it yesterday, I'm starting on the three registration tests which have a few twists in them - and an old friend comes back to visit you'll see, I'll be releasing a demo after I finish them to the piblic, so if anyone wants to, they can play it.

Hmm, still poses a problem. Underground 1 uses purple and pink lava, Underground 2 uses red lava with the top messed up, and Underground 3 messes up my other tiles. I looked at where the colours of the lava are in the palette editor, but they still show up red to yellow, and not pink to purple. There IS a pink to purple area, but it's for the ON/OFF blocks.

I guess my only solution is to use the Normal tileset or the Castle tileset. But then if I use the Castle tileset, it triggers the castle opening. Does anyone know how to stop the scene where Mario goes into a castle?

Now I really like that OW. And the background. It actually looks like a tree. And does the goo actually work? The stuff that you use in the original? If it did, then awesome! If not, you should try to make it work But awesome job so far, can't wait for a demo.

Ah, it worked HH, thank you - I figured it wouldn't since the castle was different from the typical No Yoshi symbol. But it worked
