When you get a coin, the game checks if you have 100 and if so, gives you a 1up and sets the counter back to 0. I think calling $05B34A will give you a coin and handle the 1up stuff, but I've never tried it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I found a tutorial on how to use AJAX in Javascript to grab the source of another page. It's pretty cool, but if I try to grab a page from another domain, it triggers a 'permission denied' error in Firefox... Why is it being denied, and how can I allow it? [edit] Fixed link. Well using exploits is great and all, but they get fixed. (Stfu Xk. ) I only want to use this on a local file, so is it possible to configure Firefox to allow cross-domain requests for this (or all, if need be) page? Also is it possible to send specific (edited by HyperHacker on 10-15-05 09:32 PM) (edited by HyperHacker on 10-15-05 09:33 PM) (edited by HyperHacker on 10-15-05 10:44 PM) |

Actually, I won't have to make an extension (though I might ). According to that document I need only change a configuration setting and have the script request the ability to load other pages, and it will prompt me to allow it. |
[edit] As for cookies, it seems that it just sends whatever cookie the requested page has set. So I only need to have logged into the site in Firefox before. Except for those sites that don't support cookies. (edited by HyperHacker on 10-15-05 11:52 PM) (edited by HyperHacker on 10-15-05 11:53 PM) (restricted) |

Unwritten rule #45753 of Acmlm's Board: The more code changes it requires, the less likely it'll ever happen. Adding any fields or tables to the database counts as about 6144 changes, even if it only takes a few. |

That could work, but this method seems to work better. No reason scripts shouldn't be able to do this, just so long as I get to make the final decision. |
Now if only I could figure out why the XMLHTTP object refuses to make more than one request. It seems like the only way to get it to do anything after making one request is to let all scripts finish executing, delete the object, and create a new one. Even if I delete and recreate it within the same function (or one called by it) the readyState and status just stay at 0 and nothing happens. And of course there's no way to actually wait for it to finish downloading, so the only way to even do multiple requests is to make one from the onReadyStateChange() of another.

The only way your Gamecube will ever play a burned disc is with a modchip, unless Nintendo missed a spot in their security system, and they've gone to extreme lengths to ensure they didn't. Of course, you could get PSO and a BBA and use the streaming method without modding, but it's pretty crappy (no disc; you need to load PSO and send the game from the PC every time you want to play, it lags, and of course you can't go online). |

Raven is not a dork. Just a gothic bookworm. (And you need to read up on anatomy a bit...) |
As for Acmlmboards, I think it'd be easier to just code the features directly into them. Originally posted by TombguyAh, yeah, but that's still not the same. That puts the text overtop of everything, and only on a keypress. This only puts it over the desktop background and it's always there. (And I know the dashboard isn't always on top, but it's not that useful otherwise. )Originally posted by HyperHackerYou're probably talking about the dashboard, which isn't always on top (it can be, it has 3 options). I'm talking about the OSD. [edit] Hey, nice! MBM's dashboard does stay in the space in mode 2, so long as you don't click it. (edited by HyperHacker on 10-16-05 02:16 AM)
