ack, i'm having a little bit of trouble finding a routine in the game. i've located where the game writes to $2005 to scroll the screen as the character moves on the town map.. but i haven't yet found where it (or maybe i misunderstand how) the game checks to see whether it can advance on the next tile. i haven't done too much searching for it yet, the later it gets time wise the slower my brain is working over here . I just figured i'd post and see if anyone had the data already, save me a tid bit of time. if not, i'm sure it really shouldn't take too much to find it, probably just a clear head and if there is a difference between checking to advance on the town map and the world map, i'd prefer the world map. not to be picky though, because any help would be appreciated. |

check the dates of those posts 1] i posted that before he added .tbl support 2] you interpreteted it incorrectly. i was not looking for text editing in the game, i was looking for a text editor to open and fill my notes. if he had thrown a text editor into FCEUxd then i would need to run only one application... which is what i was getting at |

Originally posted by Rebecca Daise reading am good: Originally posted by bbitmaster (edit: thought i'd ask) how far exactly do you plan on developing the Hex editor, and what possible features will be implimented, or is this where further developement on it will end.. I know there are many independant programs to handle the various other features so-called 'good' hacking hex editors have (such as `Bongo's WinHex32, which is a really great hex editor with script dumping, MTE support, tile editing, address bookmarking, file patching, et cetera) , but i would imagine they would take a bit of time to create.. i would definetly understand if this is as far as the emulators new hex editor will go, i'm just curious as to what you are planning? gah, i was extremely excited when i saw those screenshots a few months ago. But, as everyone has already said, it's not exactly the most suprising occurance still, look at the detail on those models, they look like they jumped right out of one of Akira Toriyama's drawings |

err.. Betrayal at Krondor, anyone? it's probably one of the oldest games i play, and not even very old at that . still, an excellent RPG for it's time, and even better when you've read the book series. |

extremely impressive. although i'm not sure which one is more mind-boggling, the apparent difficulty or the fact that it's all still created in flash | |||

i tend to stick to Paint when possible, i don't need to load up complex brush patterns and large custom image effects when i'm just fucking around. any sort of graphic to be published to the web i'll probably create in photoshop. unless i'm going for that "MS Paint" look and neither is really 'better', it just depends on what you need and like. |

oh my, i seem to have missed this thread. lucky me, i thought i had already missed my chance interject my thoughts on about the 11th of September, 2001 or http://www.zophar.net/personal/Gavin/steady-leadership.jpg one of the most horrible cataclysmic offshoots of the events that transpired after the 11th was the acceleration ideas similar to this. although the framework for the new american century project had been long in the making, the world trade center attacks gave those able to act ample opportunity to advance their goals before all the dust had settled.. or so i hear. i don't follow these things much.
