i had previously made a simple sketch of some armor and decided on a whim to tag a face along with it. the face originally evolved from some evil demon head i was attempting to work into the actual armor itself, but that idea never quite worked out. but then i decided, well hell, i had already made the face.. why not just attatch the head and create a body as well?  i'm really unable to tell whether the i should have used the second, darker, shade of gray on the armor or not. i'm not the biggest fan of color. i suppose it remains to be seen.. |

i barely think the option should be available for the user to change their name through admin's in the first place. it's just silly, what's the use of another name?? you pick one name, stick with it. you don't like the name...tough.  then again, i'm also of the opinion that post counts and other such ineffectuals are rediculous as well. *gavin shrugs* in my opinion it just adds to the already large influx of spam/lame posts which this board consists of. as a general rule of pollution control, i vote this no. it's tough enough mitigating through awesomely l337 posts speaking of n00bs and COLOR OF MY POST LAYOUT that one added gust of hot air from some 1,000+ poster's ass to the squall of idiocy is not appreciated. | well, after failing consumer economics the first time, probably on account of the fact that i was rarely sober during classes (vodka in a waterbottle) and rarely showed up.. then almost failing the class a second time in summer school, i've graduated. not that passing those piss-poor excuses for mental exercise and reflection of intellect they call 'tests' gives me any real sense of accomplishment. i'm just waiting to get my diploma.. so i can rip it into tiny pieces and send it back they're way. school starts for me whenever i damn well please |

| overrated : The Rolling Stones : i never really cared for them much. sure they have a few songs i like: Sympathy for the Devil, Paint it Black, Miss You. but none of these are really too earth-shattering, just a few catchy tunes i don't mind. Also along these lines wasAerosmith. About the same story for both. underrated : Radiohead : i can't imagine another band ever coming along that comes close to catching what radiohead has been producing. when you look back to freaking 1991 and see the songs they were putting out  ? jesus, the originality is so genuine it's almost startling. They're latest albums have grown in thier own ways, and i enjoy them just as much. On top of that, Tom Yorke and the crew given an AMAZING live performance. I can't even describe the conert, it was (i mark no current diety in my sights) an almost religious experience. And suprising for me, not knowing what to expect, was that they could pull off every song from the CD's better live, or at least an 'alternative amount of goodness in a different way', i'll say. even the more technical sounding songs from the later records like Kid A and OK Computer.Roger Waters : Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame) has put out a few albums since leaving the band back in the mid 70's. Suprisingly they didn't sell nearly as well as David Gilmour's (took over lead of the band when Waters left), which i thought, while putting out some of his almost godly guitar work, was lacking substance in many areas. Waters songs were excellent, and definetly struck a cord with me. He's always been the stronger lyricist of the two from Pink Floyd, and although his voice is generally accepted as not being as strong as Gilmour's, his unique and many times ambiantly mixed songs, guitar, and almost most importanly lyrics just hit hard. ... and that's my rant (edited by Gavin on 08-21-04 07:43 AM) |
