Not a hard problem

The screenies look good; I just think that the Goomba in the opening squence just looks dumb. He looks a bit silly.

Nice job, man! BTW, I found something neat. I don't know if this was posted already; if it was, I'm sorry; I don't feel like reading through 17 pages again, but I digress. Why don't you add another world there? Like... a secret world that contains all the hidden levels? A link to the levels and their layouts can be found here. I would personally love to be able to play these levels, as no NES emulators work on my computer. Put them in! That would make the hack 10 times cooler than it already is!

You don't. If you have the files, those are what are used to keep the files up-to-date.

More than likely what Valc meant was to use the hub WITH DC++, not actually go to the site.
I don't quite understand... Can you embelish this a bit more? I know nothing on that subject. BTW, I'm now after Sengoku Musou (Samurai Warrors) OST. Can anyone help with that?
...Maybe we should have a game music downloader on the board, im not here, then on Ace's main site It would be totally convieniant if we got a lot of files...

I'm trying to sift through some data in Castlevania 4 for the SNES. Does anyone have any pointers for me? I don't know what parts are level data, or palettes, or weapon data, or anything like that. Can someone give me some helpful advice for Hex Editing? I'm using Hex Workshop.

It helped, a bit. I now know that the level data is compressed. What is the compression format for SNES games?
(Jeez... how do you SNES hackers find all this shit? )

This sounds wayyy too complicated for me. I guess I'll leave Super Castlevania 4 hacking to the smart people (I'd really like to see an editor for this game).

OK, I corrupted the ROM in Corrupster, but when I tried to test out the ROM, I couldn't play it. Does anyone have any good corruption tips?

This is a very solid hack, just way too hard on a keyboard. I really need a joypad for this kind of stuff.

What the hell is up with Jakotsu? She talks like a woman, dresses like a woman, has her hair like a woman and has a womanly figure, yet everyone calls her a 'he'. What the hell? Can anyone clarify this for me?

Is there any way to make a grab-able Note Block? I think it would make a nice addition... although, it may be a sprite...
Can anyone offer help?

The palette for the ground l(rope) in level one looks terrible. Fix it.
The bonus area in level two has some ledge problems. Get rid of the singular column in the middle and replace it with a cement block.
The Ghost Houses look impressive. In fact, other than the points I mentioned, it looks decent for a hack with no custom blocks, ExGFX or anything like that. Nice job, so far.

Those palette make baby Jesus cry
Honestly, EVERY screen has a glaring palette mishap that just just kills the level.

Okay, the flames have got to stop. We don't need a war here
What detail? It's nothing no one else has said before:
Your palettes suck. Fix them. They make my eyes asplode.
If you want me to make your palettes for you, I will. I just want credit, is all.

It seems like a straight forward platformer; the only minor issues may be the rotating objects (the rotating background, the chandeliers, etc...). So why hasn't anyone even considered it? You could make a really kick-ass hack out of this game, if you had the right tools.

I'm saying, I'd be glad to contribute info. If people can just throw out any offests or data that may be useful, that'd be great, since I do have an intent on making one.

Well, you see, the whole purpose of them was to use them as grab and drop objects that could stak on one another, so, for instance, there'd be a really high ledge somewhere, and you'd need a couple of those blocks to stack them n a fashon that they make stairs. I think it would be a really neat lttle puzzler, in my opinion.
