I thought something of a mix of George Bush and Bill Clinton when I saw this, yes. As for what the topic is about, I really don't see the similarity between the voices

Nice. Very nice. Easy for anyone with a little knowledge of ROM hacking to understand. Great job. And it worked for me

They could use some work. But everyone else told you what needs to be done, so I'll shut up.

On a side note, you are one of very few people that actually uses a personal photo in the personal photo slot

Normally, it's on how fast the computer itself is... like, on one comp, I tried VBA, and it was hanging around 66% the whole time. If it's anywhere around 98-102%, it's fine. Just ignore it. Play the game.

OK, by "marry" I meant join in a civil union. Which is what they're fighting for/against right now. I don't give a shit if the Church wants to marry gays or not. That's their choice. It's their religion.

I agree for the most part. But there is more than one way to look at the fate thing:

1. The way you said, where fate cannot exist because it would limit the possibilities too much (that's what I got out of it anyway).

2. Fate exists, and our path is set from the start.

3. Fate exists to an extent; but we still choose our own path. For each choice we make, we have a new set of choices to make to decide our fate. There is an end result for any combination of choices you make in life.

There are probably more ways to look at it, but those are the 3 that come to mind. I am not quite sure whether I lean more toward 1 or 3, but I certainly don't believe in 2.

Anyway, happy to have you back aboard, Steak!

Actually, it's bad to see things not change. All things must change!!! That's the good way to do things! CHANGE! I bet Tom has changed somewhat during the time he's been here, unless he's in the top right corner of that political compass.

Well, TECHNICALLY, it's not. Because they're fighting for a civil union, not to be married in a Christian church. However, you have somewhat of a point, because the majority of the government is Christian, and their beliefs could potentially affect how the vote goes for this amendment. However, I still believe that this is a non-issue, and it will not pass through Congress. The only reason Bush brought it up is to win over the religious right (meaning religious conservatives), mainly because many thought his dad lost the election because he failed to win them over. That is why Bush brought it up. But odds are this amendment/bill won't be passed, so we don't need to worry about this really.

Um, but you are forgetting, the entire nation is not voting for the amendment, Congress is. Although they are mostly Christian, most of them are liberal enough to realize "hey, I know a gay person or two, and I have nothing wrong with them." And it has to get 66% or more in each house. I could see it getting over 50%... but there are enough democrats (who are for the most part liberal) who will vote against it, and keep it from being passed.

EDIT: even if it made it out of Congress, it would need 3/4 of the states votes, which WON'T happen, trust me.

The public can be divided into three parties.

Pro gay marriage, against gay marriage, and those who do not care.

It is popular belief that there are more people who support gay marriage than oppose it, as has been shown previously in this discussion.

The religious activitists who oppose gay marriages are in support of removing the rights of other people which, in my opinion, constitutes as an extremist act of religion.

Well, actually, a national poll shows more people being against it, which is why Kerry has decided to state he is against it, even though he's probably not (people won't vote based on that now). However, even with over 50% of the people being against it, due to religious reasons or whatever, there will not be 75% of the states voting for this amendment, if it ever got that far. Maybe over 50% of the states, if that. But I doubt the amendment will even make it to the states.

EDIT: Imajin, it would be taking away her right as a citizen of the United States to have a civil union with someone she loved.

Oh well, then I will change my last statement:

Perhaps in the UK, people are in favor of gay marriage. In the U.S.A, most people are against it. I'm all for it though, if you can't tell from my other posts.
