I have never had a different one here, but my first username at old boards other than Ace's was AxemRed, and I slowly converted to The Local Idiot... and then, after thinking it through, AxemRed sounded better, so that stuck for a while, but then I realized all this time I worshipped Kefka... so, naturally, I am now Mighty Kefka wherever I go.

EDIT: There was this one place where I was Mr. Tonberry though, but that didn't stick too long.

I think this hack could use a little work... but Evil Peer, there is one reason why it would have sold: eye candy. The graphics all in all are pretty damned good. I think, as others have said, the level design could be touched up on a little, but in total, I say this is a very innovative hack, doing things no one has done before with MK roms, and it has some very nice features, and, as I said before, eye candy. And Kirby is a nice little easter egg, too.

Does it support those in-between level movies editing?

Anyway, we have all these editors listed... maybe Weasel should make a nice lil' sticky and have a constantly updated list of all the editors in development or already out.

Yeah... you see, I used PocketNESMenu.gba and put it onto my F2A card recently, but kinda forgot to put pocketnes.gba on there as well

So, my question is... how do I delete all the data on the F2A card so I can redo it all and put all the necessary files on there?

This is still one of my favorite ones:

Focus only on the center dot, the blue one. Now, once you are totally focused on it, move your head closer to the screen while still focusing on it. It works when you move further away, too, as long as you stay focused on the blue dot. Very cool trick, IMO

Well, since I am completely and utterly BORED, I have decided to do what probably 9 million others have already done: have a video game quiz. However, this is just mere trivial information that we are covering... all the questions I ask will be trivia, and will have, most of the time, one definitive answer. I'm not sure if this idea will take off to do anything, but hey, it's worth a shot, right? We will cover all genres, all time periods. Also, maybe a PC game question will appear here or there. Maybe this should be in General Gaming, but since it's trivia, I thought Brain Teasers would be more important. OK, first to 100 points wins, and I have plenty of questions to keep us going that long.

So, here's the easy questions first (1 pt. each):

1. PONG was not the first video game ever. However, it has been credited as the first big one. Name its developer.

2. Name the first arcade title that Nintendo released, and the year it was released.

3. Name the best selling video game of all time.

EDIT: Changed question 1. It was previously kinda hard for most people, I think. Although, the answer is the same to both questions.

I am a self-proclaimed Zeldist. I believe in equality for all people to make their own decisions, unless it involves kidnapping people.

Of course, at heart, I am actually a Yoshist, as I believe that fruits are the best of all foods, and that polka-dotted eggs are pretty nice too.

It's an editor for the Pokemon series, and it allows you to edit overworld and standard maps in the games.

You mean like this? If so, then you just use the TABLE BORDER and TD html codes.

EDIT: Made it look a litle nicer, and used the WIDTH variables in the TABLE BORDER

You got #2 correct, and believe it or not, SMB3 has managed to still be ahead of GTA: VC (unless it changed this last week )

As for #1, it was a single person who made it, not a whole company. A company published it, but didn't develop it. So...

Name Score
NSNick 2 pt.

CONTINUED QUESTIONS
----------------------------------------
1. Name the developer of PONG (1 pt.)

4. Name the game that was awarded (probably unfairly) best graphics for the 2003 VG Awards. (1 pt.)

5. Name the first game starring Hal's famous character, Kirby. (1 pt.)

So, ok, here's the thing:

I was trying to remove that big bar in the middle of the battle screen seperating players from opponents. I read the doc on how to do that and all... but after following everything and doing all that, the top row of sprites in the battle background is all fucked up now. Anyone know how to fix this?

Um, firstly, get rid of your internet, cause that's one less thing to pay for then. Also, um, surely you are qualified for SOME job... no matter what it is, if it pays minimum wage or more, take it. And move to a cheaper place. And um, get rid of all the stuff you don't need (like the internet, as I said before). That's all I can say.

Posted on 03-25-04 04:08 AM, in SMRPG Debug Mode (or part of it) Link
I'm not sure if he discovered it or not, but my friend who lives close to me told me about the debug mode in SMRPG. I'm not sure if he discovered it or not on his own. Considering it was a Pro Action Replay Code (2 of them, actually), I doubt it. However, I have found this interesting nonetheless, and anyone who is interested in hacking SMRPG would be interested in this too, if they didn't know about it already.

Use a SNES emulator that supports Pro Action Replay codes, and then enter these codes:

7FF40400
7FF40501

This code seems to be flawed somewhat; when you start a game up, it messes up the standard map exits, but only once in a while. Sometimes, they work fine. But lots of times, especially with the the top right exits, they send you here:

This room seems to be incomplete, and a little glitchy. However, there are a few nice features in this room, but so far all I have found are cheat-type features.

FEAUTRES:
------------------------------

-You are able to automatically travel to: Bean Valley, Land's End, Nimbus Land, Monstro Town, Barrel Volcano, or Bowser's Keep (but you must talk to Bowser to go there).

-Talk to the guy in the top left corner, and you get a plethora of cheat options:

-PAGE 1 OPTIONS:

Save: Same effect as a Save Block. I think it says you are at Mario's Pad, but if you enter the save file, you should be in the "World Map" room.
Oops, talked to him: Exits menu

-PAGE 2 OPTIONS:

Treasure Seeker: It seems that you acquire the Signal Ring when you select this.
999 coins: take a wild guess... you get your wallet filled

-PAGE 3 OPTIONS:

Princess joins party- Puts Princess Toadstool in your party
Bowser joins party- Puts Bowser in your party

-PAGE 4 OPTIONS:

Mallow joins party- that wimpy fluffball joins you
Geno joins party- the kickass star-warrior-doll joins you

-PAGE 5 OPTIONS:

-World Map "ON"- This makes all areas of the World Map (the one you are used to, not this one) assailable (a.k.a. accessible)
-World Map "OFF"- All areas of the map are off-limits

-PAGE 6 OPTIONS:

End- exits menu
Star Menu Test- Right now, exits the menu, and makes it so the mushroom dude won't talk to you again... very odd... perhaps there was some other option here at one point that was just wiped out? This would be interesting to look into
Ending- For all those lazy bums who never got around to beating SMRPG, you can see the ending cinema and the credits in their entirity with this option.

Things to look into here are that there is a MASSIVE amount of unused space in the Debug Mode room (a.k.a. "World Map"), and there are only a couple mushroom dudes to talk to. I think perhaps at one point there was a mushroom dude for every area of the game. Also, that Mario clone does nothing now, but perhaps he is SUPPOSED to be used for a warp to Mario's Pad? It would certainly make sense. Also, that Star Menu Test seems interesting... I might look more into that.

I searched the rom up and down for clues. Although I couldn't find anything (yet) indicating a Star Menu, I did find much of the game's readable text (located in the range from $22000A-$24913F) and a fair amount of unused space in the rom, in the middle of it. Perhaps some things were originally planned for the game that they took out at the end?

Of course, the enemy data for SMRPG has already been long discovered, and there is an editor for that. But people looking to hack everything else in SMRPG might find this info useful, I hope. Again, I don't know if this info's already been released, or how long it might have been released; I simply know that I had no clue of this code until my friend told me of it. So, don't yell at me if this has already been found...

Although, you should mention if this HAS been found before, so I can yell at my friend for acting like he found it. Again, hope this is useful for SMRPG hacker-wannabes. This has certainly gotten me interested in looking at SMRPG data :O

Although, I have no clue about SNES ASM coding... so... I'll probably stay away from this...
