| I tend not to practice one because I would think that if there was a correct way to worship any higher being, then that higher being would make sure it happened instead of letting tons of people do their own thing. Christianity and Judaism were only around less than 2% of the world when they started, and the same went for just about all other religions. Nay, the same went for all of them, not "just about all". If I turn out to be wrong and I go to "hell", so what? Maybe I'd like hell better, because that would mean Ghandi would be there too He'd have his own fan club down there (or up there, or over there, whatever)!Yea, I can't live in America and not hear craploads of things about Christianity (I mean, Jesus IS on a shitload of merchandise), but I tend not to believe any of it just because I can honestly tell myself that none of us know a damned thing about how existence started and what might be beyond our comprehension. We'll never know what happens to us when we die, even though we all might like to think we do. However, I don't rule out of the possiblity of a higher being, so I am agnostic and not atheist. It was so funny... a few times when I say I'm agnostic, people will ask "So you don't believe in God?"... but one time, some issue of religion came up in a class, and the girl sitting next to me asked me (after I stated that I was agnostic) "So you worship Satan?" xD |
