so, if i changed mario and/or yoshi's palettes through the *change pallettes and edit colors* option in lunar magic, would this cause any unwanted changes to other sprites elsewhere in the game?

oh, and now th at i think about it... if i changed mario and yoshi's palettes in level# 105, would the changes still take effect in, say, level 106?

cool, thanks all.

i might sound overly ambitious but i plan on releasing a 5 level mini-hack by the end of the day (and by day i mean night (and by night i mean morning))

the idea to do this occured to me last night (and, again, by night i mean morning) that since i have 2 unfinished projects, each having 1 level completed, i might as well combine them and add a couple more ideas i have....

this includes a yoshi level, which i mentioned in my notes a long time ago, and a surreal reality level... something i just got the idea for by reading one of the other threads here... plus the two finished levels, from Fire Mario World and Cape Mario World.

and then a castle.

it will have custom OW but nothing flashy by any means. maybe minor palette changes for mario and other sprites.

if people like it, maybe i will expand upon it?

well in case anyone is wondering, i don't think i'll be able to have anything ready to download tonight. i have been working on it literally all day though, and i think it'sc oming along pretty good. i have the cape level done and i completely redid the fire level, and the yoshi level is now complete as well.

i just finished the surreal level. it's interesting because when i started working on that one it was probably my least favorite of all... or the one where i would have had to appologize for including it in my mini-hack, but now i'm rather proud of it.

the only major things i still have to do are the final castle, the title screen, and then fix a small problem with my overworld (which is otherwise done). this is my first real overworld edit, and i seem to have created my own mario paths ontop of nintendos. any help on this would be appriciated!

hey, that's an awesome idea! pac-man rules. some of your foreground stuff is pretty messed up, though. but i would say it has potential, if you worked on it hard enough. i would like to suggest changing coins into dots, if you can do that, and then placing tons of them all over the place for authenticity (and have it so you get a 1-up every X number of coins)

and since i'm dreaming, while i'm at it i might as well say you could even change some enemy sprites to look like ghosts, and have the main power-up be a star, which looks like a power pellet.
