Long time no see everyone. It's been a long time since I last posted here, thought my account might still be up though it looks like it was deleted so oh well, I'm back either way. I wonder if anyone remembers me... |

Personally I prefer the PS3 design over the X360 (what kind of a name is X360 anyway...?). As for SquareEnix moving over to Microsoft, SE are only porting FF11 to the console, AFAIK SE are still exclusive to Sony for the series (FF12 has only been mentioned to be released for the PS3); now some people also thought that FF7 would be released to the PS3 after the tech demo, it isn't, all it was is a real-time (not pre-rendered) tech demo. Dead or Alive 4 looks amazing on the X360, Gear of War looks amazing on both the X360 and PS3, I'm still waiting on the Nintendo Revolution stuff from IGN though I'm going to love the new generation of consoles! Some official specs for the PS3 and X360: http://gear.ign.com/articles/614/614837p1.html |

Originally posted by Darth Dcahren You're bang on the money, the conference (I watched Sony then Microsoft then Nintendo in that order) and I have to admit that, after getting all of the specs, details and exactly what's going on underneath the PS3, the X360 games looked WELL short of graphical and technilogical prowess, in fact it made the X360 look incredibly weak! Even DOA4, NFS and Gears of War paled in comparison to the PS3 titles (I'd just like to finally say that WARHAWK IS BACK!!!), fanbloodymesmerising... I'm sold! That's one console to import with about a dozen games!!! |

Originally posted by Emperor Ziffatine There was a huge difference, take the way the explosions were, on the PS3 they were full on dynamic, all differentiating, diffused (no graphics card can diffuse light other than the nVidia due to it's new per-pixel shaders) and more, the X360's explosions look as standard as usual (well they still look a lot better than they used to but compared to the lighting effects on the PS3 it really doesn't compare. Looking at the Unreal Tech Demo, you can see just how dynamic the CELL really is and also the power behind the nVidia GSX. |
