English, in the homeland I also learned French until I was 16. I'm rusty, but I pick it up very quickly when I go to France. I used to get A grades in my written French coursework, probably because with a dictionary I could always get the syntax spot on. Well, the proof is always in the pudding, and I always end up picking up new words It's a beautiful language |

Seriously, for me, a good exam is a mix of 33% working in classes, 33% preparation, 34% frame of mind. Always treat the exam as part of the course, you should always know your stuff before preparation begins. Learning at the last minute == 1 / 0. |
Prepare well. Cover the topics you're weakest in, and don't overwork yourself. Learning textbook definitions is the easiest way to earn cheap marks in the exam. Finally, enter the exam feeling confident. Always put yourself in the position that you know you're going to show off everything you know. It's your subject, it's your time and you'll be fine.

Tom, he said he has tried everything |
On a similar note though, it's funny that we would rather something mechanical rather than a pill to solve our problems. Perhaps it's the fact that we subconciously cannot see the effects of medication, and would rather a physical solution. Right now, I'd love filtering air-conditioner over a pill (Oh, and I've said hiya to you already, Ben ) (restricted) |

The reason World of Warcraft does not feel the same way as Warcraft 2 is because they are completely different games. You interacted with the games in different ways, and the goals are completely different. |
A game that is set in the Warcraft universe therefore shouldn't need to be an RTS. Of course the game isn't "Warcraft" by nature, what did you expect? You simply can't expect an MMORPG to feel identical an RTS and still make a game people will want to play. The vast majority of fans of the Warcraft games who have also played WoW have praised it's faithful interpretation of the Warcraft universe, and that's all the game could and should ever have achieved.

If that's what they wanted, then they'd have said "this is the future of Warcraft Games, this is Warcraft 4". What they are saying is that they wanted to take the gameworld and change the gameplay and make a new experience. Blizzard would seriously be putting their reputation on the line if they even remotely suggested that WoW was the sequel to Warcraft 3. How can they pass it off as the same type of game when it obviously isnt?

Just a pointer, try to test your layout before posting in other threads. I had to nuke your layout in another unrelated thread because it hadn't been tested and screwed up the tables. |

It's been a bit since the thread started, but I swear I've been waiting to get my stuff home from university, clean it all away in my room to show it off. "Are you ready? Here we go!" |
From the doorway. I like to make sure it's tidy every time I show it off on Acmlm's Again, the room from one end. Laptop Chiyo. Sony Vaio. I use it primarily for development, Java, Python, HTML, PHP. All my programming is kept on here so that I only ever have to use one platform between home and university. Desktop Yorda. I use it for simple browsing, IMing and this is the machine hooked up to my Hi-Fi. Linux PC Chi. Used as a random server at the moment, and learning Linux stuff on. Keeps all my MP3s on it for streaming over our home network. Runs Ubuntu Linux 5.04. My Hi-Fi and CDs. 95% of all my MP3 collection is completely ripped. Only excpetions are difficult to get tracks and OCRemix music. A close up of my game collection. This is only a few of them, Chad has a lot of the PS2 games we own. Including Ico. I need my own copy. Damn Also, check out the Saturn collection >=D The board, and the jewell in any Saturn owner's collection, Radiant Silvergun. Not rare as some people would have you think, but this is definately one of the most difficult to get of all the classics of the 32bit era. (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 06-22-05 10:57 AM) |
