Ambi, the posters on this board are quite free to "diverge" if they disagree with your opinions.

You are free to your opinion, but you must accept that it is not shared with some people here. I admit that there are many women who carelessly mess around with guys' feelings, but they are in the minority. Such behaviour is firmly disliked by many people, including me, and is why I didn't like your liberal description of "Womyn" and such statistics.

Yes, but it's only a slight difference Fred Durst is a prat, though. Korn are respected a hell of a lot more than Limp Bizkit these days, but taking the mic out of Limp Bizkit when you like Korn is pot and kettle

Wes left the band for the better... Right now, he's living the high life doing what he likes... Doing producing stuff and a few side projects. He's recently been working with Danny Lohner, who he worked with on the Underworld Soundtrack.
He recently released the seventeenth (i think) Goatslayer album, although go to www.eattheday.com to find the link to the Goatslayer website. Listen to Goatslayer radio and find out why you've never heared of them before

Posted on 05-03-04 03:20 AM, in Which of the next-gen consoles are you buying? Link
Buying a console is simple. You just look at the killer apps that are being made for it, both at release date, and later on the in the year.
Hopefully the companies have sorted out the jump from one platform to another, and we can expect multiple killer apps from launch.

Same goes for PSP and the next Gameboy. If I can expect another (realistically rendered) Zelda game, then I'll definately buy the next gameboy.

If we can expect a port of FFVII on the PSP, then I'll buy one. Simple as pie

I'm certainly not expecting another Sega machine, the rumors must be fake so far if there hasn't been anything said on reputable news sites or in the press. Don't believe that one.

Hmmm... Very interesting topic. I'm not looking forward to Longhorn at all. Unless it's plugged all the problems with XP, then it's not really going to be worth buying.

The first thing that struck me about Longhorn, about six months ago, was the god awful skin that adorns it. A ten year old with Win Blinds can do better than that.

MS seems to be going the wrong way about GUIs... They have to be simple, functional and easy to ues. XP's standard one makes me want to tear my eyes out, and Longhorn is only marginally better. The GUI in XP is far too distracting, and the information bar clutters the desktop.
To a certain extent, XP made progress by keeping the desktop clean and customisable.

"Fair use rights" is anything but. Any users of Sony's Net Minidisc software will know that it only lets you write songs three times, even though you are entitled to as many backups as you like.

If anything stops me from playing, copying and writing my 600+ MP3s, all legally ripped, then there'll be hell to pay. I think it's sick that record companies are shipping albums that you can't rip, nor back up. If I knew that the CD I wanted to buy had this software on it, I'd demand a lower price because they have removed your rights to making a backup.

If anyone is interested, I like to run a clean XP system, with a nice Window Blinds skin (OS X at the moment... The finest GUI available). I also run up-to-date antivirus software to protect my system.
I usually re-install Windows every month or two, because after a few months of trying out new cool programs, like I like to do, Windows starts to become lippy. Take the file associations box... It won't recognise rich text files, and when I select Word Pad, it won't let me select the "Use this program every time" check box. Also, when I came to installing a modem a while back, it randomly disabled options that should be enabled.
XP is a shambles, but if you're gentle with it, it's the best OS out there.

Take one Hiryuu, and photoshop until consistantly humilated

You don't even need Photoshop, and (reasonable) efforts with MSPaint will be welcomed

If you'd like to talk to people in your own language, why not join a french speaking forum? A thread just for speaking French won't really attract much attention, because there is no topic. Please stick to topical debate.

I highly doubt it's the original... Dev houses aren't taking risks at the moment, and from the sounds of the title, it sounds like a spin off based in the FFVII universe along the lines of a minigame...

I'm sorry about being so cynical, but the current state of the industry has left me feeling very jaded

The GBA would have enough power to render the basic characters, maybe the summons at a push, but it would have nowhere near enough space to store the pre-rendered backgrounds. The entire game would have to be re-made.
