I'm not sure but how many Super Mario RPG hacks can you find? The only one I found was Super Monkey RPG, which is a full text hack for SMRPG. I made a graphics hack, a real easy one, that gives Mario sunglasses in the game. Currently I'm working on another gfx hack for SMRPG giving Mario a cape. And also when he punches, I'll have him so it looks like he's using his cape to attack. So what do you think?

There's not a specific editor for SMRPG but there is a program called PIPES that lets your edit the stats and name of enemies. Also there is another program, not sure what it's called, but I think your allowed to edit the prices in item shops.

Does anyone know of a good text editor out there? I tried Zophar but they are in DOS and for some reason my computer can't use DOS. It would be better if the progs were in Windows. Also, if I need to know something about Hex stuff for text, tell me.

Also I was going to do a "Bowser into Luigi sprite" one but unfortunatly, Bowser doesn't have any blue on him so I improvised. Well, tried to at least. Here's a single screenshot of it:

The Luigi one is just horrible because of the bad palette colors used for him.

What about if it's a SNES rom and not a NES rom? Would NESticle still give me the correct value for the game?

Well I thought I change someone else because the Luigi thing didn't work out so well. This time I tried Geno into Sonic. Here's the outcome of it

Ok, I could give it a try and change Mallow into Kirby but remember though, Mallow's main color isn't pink so Kirby may not look as good with the shading of the pink. And as for Peach? Who should I try to make her into?

Ya, I tried that, couldn't figure it out...Also I was thinking, lets say I change Mario's red to green, would it affect the other sprites that use red?

No, I couldn't find where his colors are located. Actually I haven't tried looking for it. But if I find it, I don't know the code thingy that's assigned to that color.

I tried that but it gave my so many results. Is there a better way to narrow it down?

And as for the Icon for Sonic's head, the 1st one is him looking normally and the 2nd one is when he's suppose to blink but I couldn't edit that so I just made him look to the left. Otherwise if I made him blink, only his left eye would blink and not his right.

Wow, thank you! That helped a lot! I didn't get it at first but I got it now. And after doing some color switching I did find out that some of the colors of different sprites do share with each other. So if I changed Mario's red shades to green shades, that means any sprite that has the same red values of Mario will be green as well.

Ok well I finally got done with change Mario's red to green. As soon as I change some of the text in the rom, I think I'll call it Super Luigi RPG. Took me a while because I had to change some of the colors in his shoes and some on his hat. Also just doing some little M to L on his hat. Arg, L doesn't have any line of symmetry so it'll look backwards on some poses. Here are some pics:

I mean someone to show me how to use one of the programs they recommended like Translextion. Or maybe someone could just show how to make a table atleast?

Well I'm not sure how exactly I would make it harder. Hmm, I suppose I could use PIPES or something. Oh yeah and also I'm almost done with Super Luigi RPG. I just doing more text editing and fixing up a little more colors on Luigi.

I dunno, I was pretty bored that day, meh. Anyway, yeah, I am doing more text hack in the game. I'm basically going through the whole game again and changing what I think needs to be changed. Also I just made that video for fun so I'm changing it back so I can keep it on a serious side of things. Also the storyline has changed just a tiny bit. Like what happens to Mario.

***Spoilers?***

I changed the story line so that Luigi must save Peach because Mario has gone missing. There's a little bit of that in the begining of the game.

I'll release the game after I'm done after with all the text editing. I'll call it v1.0. Then I will change Peach into Daisy to make seem more Luigiy. Then I'll call that v1.1. Oh, and I have a little bit more palette changing to do with some Mario sprites, i.e. his icon on the level select map.
