| I just want everyone's views here, so here is the situation. L - African-American Female M - Spanish Female W - African-American Male Me - White Male You will understand why I told yall that in a second, here is what happened. The four of us were in training today. M is our trainer. We were taking a break and M and L started talking about their kids. L asks M if she would ever let her kids marry outside of her race. M said yes, as long as they aren't white. L laughed and said the same goes for her children. I said wow, whats yall problem with white people? L turns and looks at me and says come on Kris, everyone knows you hate black people. Then she says don't let our supervisor know you hate black people, or you won't be here much longer. Our supervisor too is black. W was silent the entire time. L went on to say I am a sneaky person. She caught on that I was racist my first day there. Now, how would you all fel if this kind of thing were to happen to you? What should I do? |

I didn't know you were a girl. You have your whole life ahead of you. I don't know how old you are so I can't give specific advice. If you are under 20 your future shouldnt freak or stress you out that bad. You have time to figure it out. If you are over 20, then you SHOULDNT freak out. Just because you are unsure of your goals in life doesnt mean you should make your life shorter. |

| Well, there are organizations for people like us. Red Cross and other things that help us out. I had to get past my pride before I would accept food from strangers wanting to help, but we needed it, so I did. Try to find out about stuff like that in your area. Also, think about getting a job. You are 18, it doesnt have to be a life time career. Go flip patties at McDonalds. Its better than nothing. |
