Originally posted by kuja killerSince nobody answered this part, I will. The rating is based on the person/people who rate you. The person who rated you gave you a 10, so that gave you 130 points out of a possible maximum of 130 points. If they had rated you anything less than a 10, then your rating would have been xxx/130. The xxx depends on what they rated you. The maximum points that you can get from a 10 rating vary from user to user. The number is based on length of time registered and activity. Someone who just registered 24 hours ago will have a lower maximum points than someone who registered 8 months ago. |

What they should have done was make the photo album work like Coppermine: board members can upload a photo of themsleves, and one or two people are chosen to be the mods of the photo album. Those mods can approve or disapprove the addition of a photo. If it's approved, the photo is added to the album. If it's not, then it's deleted. But that makes too much sense, so don't count on it ever happening here. |

Yeah, better things, like ignore bug reports, create craptacular new schemes, and generally screw up the board. Oh, and not give the OWNER any control of his own board. So no, Shane, don't expect those who have the ability to do something, such as update the photo album, to do it anytime soon. Local and Full mods do what they can with what they have, and so do some admins, but they don't have a whole lot to work with. |

It doesn't even have to be an admin. As long as you can FTP into the server, and upload files, that's all the permission you need.

I've had this happen myself. From what I can figure out, it's a memory issue with Windows, releated to one of (numerous) memory leaks. Usually, a full reboot will solve this problem. What I do, however, is I open up my image editing program (I use PaintShop Pro), then I right-click on the picture, choose Copy, switch to my image editor, paste the image, and save it with the name and format I want. |

One more reason AcmlmBoard v1.Xx sucks. One more reason SVN sucks.

Erm... if PQ lags your PC... My original character. Save got corrupted somehow, and backup did too. My current character. Save recently got corrupted, but not backup. And Acmlm's had a link to his PQ character in his sig for forever... |

Yeah, I've been worrying about Anya. I live far enough north that Wilma just gave us some rain, and that's about it.

1) What's Stepmania? 2) I have a 2.00 GHz AMD Sepmron 3000+. 3) I'm supposed to have 256 MB RAM, but it seems I only have 192 MB... 4) When I run full screen, I tend to not go lower than 800x600, as long as I have a choice in the res. I usually like to run FS at the same res as my desktop, which is currently 1280x1024. I've not run anything FS in that res yet, though... 5) I have an nVidia GeForce2 MX200 w/32 MB SDRAM. Does that cound as a non-decent vid card? And I have die-hell up. DSL would be a blessing right now... |

Trust me, Colleen, it's not as nice as you might think here in Florida when you have no power. I lost power last year due to Francis, and it sucked major ass. One of the things nobody seems to think about is the food. We ended up losing like, $300 or $400 in food, because there was no way we could eat it before it went bad. It doesn't matter where you live: When you lose power, it's a pain in the ass, and it sucks. Hard. And I didn't know Anya worked at GameStop... Hmm... Deals, deals, deals... |

I use Maxthon 1.5.0 (Build 95). Netscape is just the Mozilla browser with the NS logo on it, and tons of useless bloat. It's not even worth acknowledging. No problems with Mozilla. If, for some reason, I were to leave Maxthon behind, I'd go with Mozilla. I'm sick and TIRED of people and websites all over telling me, "Get FireFox". It's not their place to tell me what browser to use, and it helps to ensure that I will NOT, in fact, "Get FireFox". I've tried FireFox, and I don't like it. I'm used to Maxthon, and it works fine for me. Things I can do in Maxthon, I can't do in FireFox (it's been awhile, so I can't think of anything off the top of my head). I find Maxthon's built-in ad blocking to be superior to FireFox's. Opera is just plain yuck. It can't do half the things FIreFox can, and frankly, I just don't like it. Waaaaaaay back in time, around 1996 or so, my only internet access was via dialing up and connecting to my local Free Net. As such, I got to use LYNX to surf the web. Not a bad browser, but I'd miss my images. xD Although it's probably not in development anymore, Arachne was a wonderful graphical internet browser for DOS. The 386 I had died, and was replaced with a 286, and MS-DOS 6.0. Somehow, while using LYNX, I stumbled upon Arachne. THOSE were the days. So, basically, my preferences are Maxthon, Mozilla, FireFox. Opera and Netscape aren't choices. Bonus! Direct from my Bio: IM Converstaion between myself and the president of Qrush Technologies, on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005: [01:40:37] Elric: Poor guy. Using IE. [01:40:45] Elric: Told him to get a real browser: Maxthon. [01:41:15] Ganon: i use ie and refuse to use anything else [01:41:32] Ganon: its the most stable one with the best (not fastest) render engine [01:41:53] Ganon: if you have had the experience i have programming for different browsers, you would understand why i think most are absolute shit [01:42:04] Ganon: comparing other stuff to ie is like comparing linux to windows He has never let me down, or lead me astray, in the years I've known him. |
