| The governer was smart. In his State of Emergency letter, he said that the government can and will commandeer anything necessary to get people evacuated. This is where the government and other states need to pitch in. They need to send everything they can to get everyone out of the city. Cars, trucks, boats, trains, whatever it takes to get those people out. I guess the good news is that this is the hurricane that they've always known would come, and have been preparing for. I went to bed last night, and it was a Cat 3. When I got up about 30 mins. ago, it was a 5. It seems that it's trying to invent a Cat 6... All we can do is hope, and those who believe in it, pray. |

From what I understand, they're leaving the current system alone, and are focusing on the new system. ||bass said that the first version of 2.0 will be about 95% like it is now, but the code will be better organized. After that is when the changes will start to appear. So, unless there's a major security issue, I don't expect ||bass or Blades to do any more work on the current board. Broken Post BG isn't a real concern, so I don't see it getting fixed until after the debut of v2.0. |

OK. Yeah, it's already a mess. A few more files won't hurt. Mines an even bigger mess, 'cause I have my item shop, my (pathetic) PvP crap, and my PvM thinger I'm working on. And other files to customize my board as well. If you were to compare your /board/ dir to mine, I bet yours wouldn't look very messy at all.  |

Probably not a high priority? From what I understand, ||bass has been trying to uniform the code, while Kasumi-Asta's been obsessed with the new schemes. Dunno what Blades has been doing.  That's for newer versions. For older ones, Jesper and Erk seemde to have their own agenda... |

| Winds are now up to 160 MPH. And New Orleans has been preparing for a bad hurricane for a looong time. Nobody every expected one like this, though. If it's still a Cat 5 when it hits, it will be the 4th Cat 5 EVER to make landfall in the US. |

| New update. It's now a Cat 4, 155 MPH winds, moving N at 12 MPH. It's 130 miles SSE of New Orleans, with 910 mb pressure. The western side of it is eroding, but it's still dangerous. New Orleans won't just be a cess pool, it's gonna be underwater. Weather Channel just showed a live feed, and you saw water coming up and receding. When it receded, you saw it was in a parking lot. Weather Channel is really your best bet for accurate, up to date info. TWC gets #1 priority for latest updates on things like this. |

| Weather Channel hasn't mentioned anything about the Super Dome, but they have said downtown New Orleans is under about 3 feet of water. They also said that an apartment complex collapsed with people in it. MORONS! You CAN NOT HIDE FROM NATURE! Buildings are damaged. Surge is flooding roads. Over in the tip of the panhandle of Florida, surge is coming over most sea walls, and MORONS are out in the water. They OBVIOUSLY have empty heads, since nature abhores a vacuum. The eye is in the SSW part of Mississippi currently. Waiting for an update on things... Still, things aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as the weather people thought they would be. Just goes to show: You can't trust weatherpeople to make accurate predictions (example: They've been saying it's gonna rain for the past week, yet it's been all sunny and hot. Yay Floida!  ), and you can't predict Nature.Just in from Weather Channel: French Quarter Damage Water pooling in the strees. Avoided catastrophic flooding. Trees uprooted in Jackosn Sqaure. St. Louis Cathedral statue damaged. 30 feet of ornamental fence ripped out. Yeah, not as bad as they were predicting. Still, this was the 4th powerful storm to make landfall in the US. |
