| Hey everyone. This is my first time posting here, though I have been here while both as a guest and a member. I wanted to share some BG rips I took out of Mario X World SER by Anikiti. I don't know if this place frowns on this act but the BGs looked real good and I thought people would be interested in having them as well. Credit for the rips are given of course. I hope you guys like them. http://www.geocities.com/epsiloneris I believe if BGs were setup similarly the way I have mine setup, it makes them easier to add to a hack, rather than the tedious process of separate-tile pasting. Enjoy these BGs. | I thought of that but if those BGs are copywritten/owned by anyone but himself, it would be pointless to ask his permission to use rips from other games he had no permission from Nintendo or anyone else to use. I understand what you mean but I thought it would be all the same to just credit the original hack's ripper instead so at least people would see that I gae at least that much. Sorry if I rubbed anyone wrong with these files. Just wanted to help out. -Jei- |

| You know peter_ac, I had been here a long time and had a lot of respect for you. But the way you approached me in the crass way you did it, removes all respect I have for you man. Tell me this: Who the hell is Anikiti that I have to ask him to use things that "HE ALSO STOLE"? Who the hell gave you any right to modify these games like YOU have peter? Hmmm? Did you get Nintendo's permission to use the Lunar progs to rip their sprites and BGs and whatnot? Did you consult with Nintendo to use their SMAS Bgs and sprites for your SMB hacks? Do you have Nintendo's permission to use an image of their game for your personal use and "hack" into it like you and the rest of us are doing? Who the hell do you think you are to be cursing me when you do no better? You act as if the SMAS ripping you have been doing is somehow sanctioned by those who OWN those properties. Anikiti, just like you and me and anyone else, hacked copywritten property and used copywritten property without permission of the owners. I don't Nintendo Co. coming in here and threatening you with a lawsuit if you don't stop ripping their sprites and tiles from their game! So who the hell are you to be cursing me and putting me down for ripping the ROM of a fellow hacker when you, Anikiti, me and anyone else involved with SMW hacking have no authority, right, privelege, consent or permission to be doing what you curse me for doing - ripping and stealing! I suggest you check the way you come across me next time man. I am not some 16 years old punk kid who likes to flame. I am 28 years old anda father and husband. i treat your ass with respect I damn sure expect it back and if you got a problem with me or my methods in the future, be a man handle it like a man....not like a 13 years old script kiddy who gets pissed off at someone committing the same crime he himself commits. I respect Anikiti's hackwrok indeed. This is why I left credit in for his hack. So people know this guy did one hell of a hack. I only wanted to share those excellent gfx with the rest of us who may have wanted them but for some reason didn't use them. As for stating a position, I wouldn't mind peter stating a position as it were. I can handle that. I have kids, I can deal with criticism and the like you see. What I will not tolerate is outright flames towards me as if his actions are any better or legal than my own. Observe: I call it theft!! <==== And what you do, peter, is anything legal right? | They are copyrighted by Nintendo (or respective game company only) and never the hack authors. I own nothing I do in SMW when I hack it. Or any game. I haced Phantasy Star Online for the Gamecube and I own none of that either. We give "credit" for doing what we did, but make no mistake about it....if you are using property of a company, even if it is your own images or codes, you are still doing it on or in company property. I thought I would mention this so people don't think the hacks are "theirs" when the property and anything in it, still belongs to Nintendo and always will unless that person buys the rights to that game/franchise. I understand where you are coming from Ice. But I am fuly versed with copyright law....I work with it everyday. DMCA is just the newest insult to Internet users and their freedoms. Ever heard of the Electronic Frontier Foundation? I believe I am in better position to quote copyright and ethics laws when ripping people off. No offense to you but I wanted to clear this up with the truth. Thanks for listening. Back on topic, I ripped Bowser's castle BG from SMAS SMB1. I am going to dump the rest and then try to go for SMB2 and SMB3. I will also try to get the SMB:LL BGs plucked out also. Hopefully I will have them all for upload. | I think the reason it does this is because any BG longer than 4 Map16 pages in the 16x16 editor or any BG that is above 0x14 in the 16x16 Editor will inevitably corrupt the other GFX for some unknown reason. I found that any BG which must be on any Map16 page of 0x15 or higher or has more than 4 Map16 Pages corrupts the BGs of any BGs 0x10 to 0x14. Dunno why but this is what I have found out. Loading the Map16 data onto empty slots amke no difference. I am looking for a workaround right now. I am no expert...this is just my own observation. -Jei- |

| I have read all this topic about this and so far, the only thing I can see prevelant about denying Jesus Christ, his exsistence in life and his being....is lack of faith. Lord knows, it isn't the lack of his exsistence. Why? Because both Christian and secular accounts - 500 independent sources, people, ok? - have confirmed his being AFTER the crucufixtion. Now correct me if I am wrong but that in itself, supernatural as it may be to our pathetic human brains, tells you not only that Jesus exsisted in reality, that not only was he endowed with greater power than we can even begin to fathom, but that he was God in flesh. How so> Who else ever in history, through science or religious channels, have you ever known to have been killed then reanimate perfectly sound in 3 days and have 500+ recorded and verified instances of your being be recorded? Can you think of any? Lack of faith people, not lack of proof. God never had to prove a thing and if you don't believe now, you never will. but if you will downtalk a religious belief or whatever, do yourselves a favor and at least KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE OPENING YOUR MOUTH! Know your 'facts, sceince and proof" then make judgement because you can't judge without your proof. i have given my proof, so I can talk. Not because I am Christian, not because I have 'religion' because I believe. because I don't need to see to believe. The wind is invisible....yet it is there. How do I know...for crying out loud, how nam I alive without it? It's called faith. Try it on someday, you may learn more than you ever thought you could. | I have provided you proof. If 500+ people, who were different walsk of life, both believer and unbeliever alike, saw Jesus resurrected after his death, how much more proof do you need? He was dead, people. He had been beaten to heck worse than any other before or after him. His hands were pierced and nailed to a cross and his feet, impaled through the toes and gams, also staked into the cross he was hung on. His sides were impaled with lances as his blood gushed outwards and squirted to the ground. He was on that cross hours and hours until he finally died. Granted they didn't have CSI-type machinery back then to test someone's pulse but you don't need to be a doctor or require a heart monitor to test someone's pulse and find it non-exsistant, see their body a bluish-green color (the color of dead body) and to know that a warm body that goes completely cold means it is dead. Nobody stole his body from the grave. Roman soldiers (who were unbelievers in those days and anti-Christians) guarded the tomb day and night until his resurrection which, when they rolled the stone away, found no body, just His wrapped, soiled linens he was buried in. That is the so-called Shroud of Tourin and I don't really hold much faith in that piece of cloth b/c it means nothing. Tat is like assuming the sandals Jesus wears somehow has magical power or religious significance...they don't. They are objects and material things. Jesus, not a shroud or sandal, is the focus here. I gave you proof. You have it You just don't believe and that is fine. It's called free will and we all have it. But to genrally say he doesn't exsist is wrong. Because while we cannot prove he exists as you wish it to be proven, YOU cannot prove he doesn't exsist, lest your faithlesness and unbelief, which is YOUR prerogative alone and not to be generalized as if all think like you when you say blandly 'they don't exsist'. If the proof you demand is the kind where you expect God to come to your face and show himself to you like you are anything important, gues again. God is not a circus attraction that he shows himself to unbelievers just so they can believe. Then it wouldn't be much of faith you believed in. It would be typical Liberal/Atheist style - 'if I don't see it, I don't believe it". Sorry, the God I serve is no Sideshow Bob to put himself on display like a museum exhibit. He isn't a clown who parades around showing himself to people who don't believe. He lives and is - believe it or not it is your choice. And since you asked me to prove his exsistance, which I did but you didn't accept because he wasn't putting on a show for your satisfaction, how about you unbelvers do me a favor: Prove he doesn't exsist. And non of this 'Big Bang' scientific theory crap because theory isn't fact. It is assumption and a scientist will tell you that also, not just religious scholars. | The burden of proof is not on me just because I believe God exsists. Nice try though. See, the one's who deny are the ones who need proof. I don't deny and need no proof beyond his Word. Jesus was right; "Lest a man be born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven". As this implies, being born again isn't some title. it opens your eyes to understand the book you shame and call old and dusty. You can't prove your theory that God does not exsist and I prove he did by his Book called the Bible. But I know, this is evidence you won'tbelieve because God, in his mighty hand did not physically come down here, touch those Holy pages and inscribe the book himself in his own handwriting word for word. instead, he had Moses write the first 5 books which explain the originas of life in Genesis to the book of Numbers. Other followed thereafter. Now you guys can dance around and say the Bible, because it was written by men, that it is subject to error and prejudice and whatever other human corruption you can think of. However, this only means you further disbelieve the fact that, while men did right the bible, it was inspired wholly by God himself. Of course, you guys will also refute this and debate it to death saying this doens't prove he exsists! But it doesn't prove he doens't exsist either. in fact the Bible makes clear that he exsists. But you won't acknowledge it because for one, that means you would have to admit you were wrong all this time. Trying to swallow that big a lump of pride is equivelant to trying to swallow a large ice cube and hoping not to choke. Furthermore, it would also mean that everything you thought to this point was wrong. Coming to terms with the truth is hard. Too hard for most people. But the truth is the truth. Just because God himself didn't lay his mighty finger on the original Dead Sea Scrolls and write the book himself doens't mean it isn't his word or his divine inspiration which man was told to write exacty as God worded it. Your denial of the truth in the Bible in no way negates or invalidates the validity or doctrine contained in the Bible. Just because you deny the Bible as God's word and written under his strict supervision, order and authority does not mean it didn't happen that way. it just means you are an unbeliver and that's all. Further proof God exsists is everything you see around you - including yourself. We did not develope from a primitve puddle of goo or evolve from apes or marine life or space gases or extra-terrestrials playing humanity games with us. Everything you see in life including yourself is too unique and fragile to have "just happened" and even a monkey brain can see that. Did God have anything to do with Big Bang? Sure he did! God said "Let there be Now youc an dance around the issue of God's exsistence all you want to. You can take my evidence, which is the Bible and base that for your 'proof'. Or you can do like I know you will and deny it through your teeth and say "awww, man wrote those...so I don't believe until I see him myself". My friends, you don't realize that the day you see God....youa re already dead. You better hope you thought wisely before that time because you will not have a second chance. This is it. You don't have to give a darn one bit. You don't have to believe and you don't have to have faith....hey we all have free will. But I have given you your evidence. Whether you accept it or not as proof is your choice. If you don't, then you really didn't want proof of his exsistance (other than a real-life face-to-face with the man himself which won't happen), you wanted a stupid secular debate as to why you should continue to make excuses to not believe or hear the truth. | Sorry to bump this thread but since the information is of current status and not outdated like old SMW hacks or questions I figured I could post to it with my 'misogynist' views. Firstly, however, I am NOT and NEVER WILL BE a misogynist. Having said that, I am Anti-Feminist to the bone. You won't find more an anti-Feminist or Anti-Liberal period, more anti than myself. Having said that, let's do this! I believe equal pay is for women who deserve it. Too many times I see women complain that the only jobs in the paper are for men. Well, to the women who wanna be treated and paid like a man this is for youa nd dedicated to you - There is your golden oppurtunity, Betty Boop! Show your moxy and get money! If you apply for a Warehouse who pays secretaries $7.50/hour and Truck Loaders $12.00/hour, don't bitch! You are not the ones lifting those 50-100 Lbs boxes repetetively. You lift a pen, a phone and a cup of coffee for your boss. Really hard work there. You are not the one breaking your back everyday for 8-12 hours of hard labor. The only thing you broke in your day today is a nail when you picked up the phone the wrong way. You're not wheeling heavy freight from one end of the plant to another constantly while your legs, back and feet are killing you in the heat of the warehouse. Oh, no you are busy wheeling your lazy ass in your comfortable office wheelie chair from the desk to the file cabinet in your nice, air-conditioned room, with the comfort of sitting down all day and standing to stretch as needed. As if getting up to do what you do sliding along the floor is so much for you to do that you can't unglue your ass from your chair. You don't have the loud crashing of materials falling to the floor or the loud sounds of machine blaring in your ears. You are behind sound-proof walls with Soft Rock playing on the Muzak to ease your mind. You don't have to fear losing a finger or toe or eye from a machine.In fact the only thing you can really lose is the boss' car keys when he asks for them. You don't have to fear chemical spills and burns on your side of the plant. youa re safe from that, in fact, your worst spills and burns come when you trip and spill the boss' coffeee all over, some on you! You aren't the one starving your butt off and dying of thirst with no reprieve til break by reason of all the work you are doing. No, because you have a nice Diet Coke and a sack of Twinkies at arms length to keep you going. And when they run out, you are easily able to replenish your supply and eat/drink as needed. Finally, you're not the one who has to face your ungrateful wife when your eturn from work and explain to her why you can't go to Jimmy's due to work calling you to do OT on the weekends and 10 hour shifts for the week after that! No you go home at 4:30PM sharp everyday and get to unwind in the comfort of your place and relax and eat/drink some more. Of course you turn on the TV and see that CNN is running an equality segment and right away you blast males for their insensitivity and bias of pay, rank and commission. The moral of this example is simple: While not all women fall into this catergory in mainstream working America, a majority do. I say this: If you want equal pay like men, get your sweet soft butts out there and work like one. Because no man is gonna give a secretary a Warehouser's pay like she is entitled to it when all she does is sit all day answering phones, plunking keys, filing data, breaking nails and popping chewing gum behind a desk while a man breaks his back in the heat and goes hungry and thirsty for the sake of his job. You want equal pay, we want you to do equal work. Get off your butt and hump those heavy boxes for 8, 10 or 12 hours in a day then you can demand equal pay. othersie, shut up and be glad you are being paid even $7.50/hour to do a job you are accustomed to. | Yes, quite serious. Have you ever seen the color balck ever be called white and everyone agree? Thought not! However the fact, getting paid equal pay for equal amount of work and getting paid equal for equal work are two different things that turn the debate depending on how it is worded. If you think a Housewife should be paid like a Chemical Engineer because of equal amount of work, guess again. If you think a manager of McDonald's thinks she should be paid as much as a manager of a larger, more important global corporation, then you are asking for the wrong thing. As I stated before, I do believe women should be paid equal to me - if they work equally as hard on the same jobs. No way should a woman who scrubs floors be paid the same as the man who tells her which floors to scrub and vice-versa. If a woman makes more than a man...so be it. She obviously earned it. Oppurtunity knocks and this is a big world. I don't want my daughter coming home telling me she works at a job and does the same thing a man is doing who has the same experience level as her and hired at the same time, but he gets paid more because of his gender. that itself is the discriminatory part I will not support and don't. But I will not likewise support my daughters' endeavor if her job is not worth the pay she demands only because she feels she works harder but takes no skill and demands his type of pay.
