If I ever see the Electric Blue Jolt, I'll try it. And if I get the money, I'm filling the bar fridge downstairs (5 steps from my bed) with either Bawls or normal Jolt, if I can ever find the stuff again. |

Nijiru flipped backwards, the lightning striking the ground in front of him. As he landed, he swung both of the swords upwards, launching two bladebeams of energy at Star, one black and the other white. |

Rahl simply stepped to the side before spinning on one foot, and swung his blade at the back of the wizard's neck. This gave the warrior a wide opening to the wizard's front. |

Clive reloaded his weapon, in case any more Beastmen chose to attack the group. He then made his way towards the group, holding his rifle above his head with both hands so Efreal could not mistake him for an enemy. As he got to the two, he asked,, "Are the both of you ok?" |

Nijiru swung both of his blades down, smashing the beam into the bridge. The beam did no damage as Nijiru prepared for Star's attack by crossing his swords over his shoulders. |

Clive counted off his fingers as Efrael offered his ideas on why he had followed the two of them. As Efrael finished, Clive spoke. "Those are good reasons as to why someone would follow the two of you. However, you forgot two options." |
Clive counted off another finger as he stated, "I was bored with Bastok, saw the two of you leave on a journey and chose to follow you out of boredom and as a test of my skills, or," Clive counted off the final finger on his left hand, "maybe it's a mix of everything about you two that caused me to follow." He shruged before smiling. "Who knows?" "Anyway, it is getting late, he needs sleep," Clive pointed to Blitzen, "and I'll take first watch, if that's ok with you. I'm more nocturnal than most, anyway."

Nijiru snapped his arms out, and was able to deflect two of the attacks. The other four, however, hit. As Nijiru had chosen at the last moment to block with his wings, most of the damage was to his wings. |
As Star's attack finished, Hikari disappeared from Nijiru's right hand for a moment as his wounds quit bleeding. When the sword rematerialized in his hand again, it was slightly fainter that before. Nijiru simply let his blades go, and watched as they floated defensivly around him. They shrunk down to the size of daggers, but sped up a bit. "As my weapons are an extention of my soul, they have a habit of acting on their own. Which is fine by me." (edited by Lord Rahl on 09-29-04 02:36 AM)

Rahl placed a foot on the Wizard's chest and lined up a coup de grace to his throat. "A person can do the most damage when their opponent's guard is down. If their guard happens to be down because of injury or lack of intelligence, so be it." He finished his final attack to the wizard. OOC: Coup de grace = mercy hit. When used in battle, it means an attack done to a wounded character with the intent of killing them as quick as possible, such as slitting their neck or stabbing their heart through gaps in their armour.

Nijiru smirked as Star rushed him. He had a set amount of energy he could add to both Hikari and Yami. His normal kodachi pair used around half the total energy he had. The daggers used around quarter as much. |
As Star batted away both of the daggers, Nijiru reformed two kodachi in his hands, used one to block the lightning blast and the other to attack at Star's open right arm.

Nijiru used both of his swords and the two daggers to block a few attacks before rolling backwards a couple times. |
"Congrats, you're the first person I've had to use this ability against. I commend you." Nijiru bowed his head to Star for a moment before looking down the Bridge. He saw a rainbow appear connected to the Bridge and decending into the starry bowl below. The new rainbow began to fade from the brightness of the Bridge. Nijiru pointed in that direction, the rainbow being a good two hundred feet away. "There's your way back to your realm. Once that rainbow fades to nothingness, you'll be stuck here until another one appears. However, that one should take a good half hour to disappear."

And so I can think up a reason to attack you.A figure can be seen flying towards APH from the horizon. Encased in golden platemail, it was clearly moving through the use of magic, as the figure is standing and surrounded by a bubble of air. Once the person got fifty feet from APH, the bubble faded and the person dropped to the ground, landing effortlessly. Two swords, both three feet with "TRUTH" engraved in the handle of one, were crossed over its back, and two filled pouches were at its sides. A man's voice spoke from the closed helm, "APH, you have been seen consorting with Dreamwalkers. Because of this, you have been judged to die at the hands of the Lord of D'Hara, Lord Zeddicus Z'ul Rahl." With this said, Rahl drew the Sword of Truth and began to make his way towards APH.

Seeing as I'm on dial-up and therefore disabled all backgrounds, it doesn't really matter to me. If I still had my DSL, though, I'd say keep it at where it is. Good cache on a browser means the background's actually only downloaded once, anyway. Might as well make it worth while. XD |
